For a moment..........then out with a whimper

Warning: Spoilers
Yeah for a moment there this was looking like it might end with a great battle but nope. After Eddy assembles all the villainous speedsters he faces of against Flash and the........Power Girls??? Even worse they defeat all these high powered villains within a few seconds each. Flash throws not one punch. Just eludes Eddy until he Saturday morning cartoon him with a lesson on how to be good and that's it: Presto Nothingoh all is right with the World. The last 3 seasons of Flash has primarily been kiddie land junk and neer unwatchable. Just glad it's mercifully over. What was once a great show has fallen so much in quality that it should become a lesson in how to successfully destroy a series. Adios!!!

Fast paced & extremely rushed finale (pun intended, who cares?)
calebzacz26 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
So, the Flash is over, what can i say? I've been watching this show since 2015 when S2 was airing, and i instantly fell in love with it. This show used to have so much heart and so well planned about what they wanted to show us. The characters were likable and the story was entertaining. 8 years later we stand in front of the series finale, our hero it's facing cobalt blue, the toughest guy ever, and he's so powerful that he can bring the past negative force avatars (reverse flash, zoom, savitar, godspeed) just to defeat once and for all the scarlet speedster.

This attempt to bring back the old villains was so badly done, like there's non a single explanation of how they are back, what are the rules about it, and just to be worse, they were so easily defeated by team flash, the NON SPEEDSTERS TEAM FLASH. Damn, Cecile extended her arms and somehow defeated godspeed? Nora just phaced her belly not her entire body while savitar stabbed her? And plus, Nora barely stabbed him back and kinda killed him? Zoom was taken down by Khione with some uno reverse card? And bringing them back for what? Just for a cheap fan service that lasted less than five minute? Man that truly pissed me off, that was the worst battle of any series finale i could watch. After that i kinda liked the episode, i think it made sense that good and evil must coexist so there's no more violence, and Grant Gustin probably made his best performance of the show, that guy gave his best even knowing that the show wasn't what it was once. But again, the last villain was introduced on the last 4 episodes of the show, leaving 0 development for him and the plot of the season, and making us hold on what Eddie was in season 1, yup, that same season that ended 8 years ago.

I have to be fair tho, the last 15 minutes were good, that whole party with everyone gathered around, Joe proposing to Cecile, Barry making that monologue from the pilot but talking to Nora, and running on the same lane from the pilot was very touching and heartwarming, i almost cried.

But that's it, this finale was a 4/10 (4 just for the last 15 minutes) This season was 2/10 (just two good episodes) And this whole show was a 4.5/10, just two unbelievable season, then two ok seasons, then downhill till the end.

I don't think I'll miss this, but somehow i think I'll do, the flash is my favorite DC character, and I'll kinda miss this show, or at least I'll miss hating it because of how bad it turned to be something that was soooo good.

Depressingly mediocre
gorodnitskiyjoseph25 May 2023
The Flash's series finale is precisely what you'd expect from a story that has consistently underdelivered for years on end. It presents a hackneyed conclusion that display "fun" fight scenes that are resolved quickly and treats the villains from the older(better) seasons with short encounters with side characters, while Barry takes on a new villain that is at least slightly compelling if not also rushed and two dimensional. What follows is a half hour of kisses and goodbye, and some questionable decisions.

This story was once good. It had emotion, mystery, and a sort of cheesy charisma that was its own. The acting and the characters were almost always subpar, but within the context of the CW network, they were better than good enough. The second half of the show becomes this robotic and irrelevant sequence of poorly rendered external obstacles for the flat characters to move up against. This finale, as I've stated, falls within the second half. What's curious though about the shows decay, is that the problems spread not just through the artificial writing, but has infected the performances, making them bland, and then somehow the CGI too. I'm sure there are other factors involved, creative and budgetary, but this story has found itself in a position where it is no longer a functional narrative, and is in error on every level, and this finale has this all on full display. Damn you, Eric Wallace, not even The Flash could catch you.

How do you mess this up? Warning: Spoilers
These writers have 40-50 minutes to fit what they can into the episode. They could've shown how much Barry has improved by him taking on all of the speedsters in a 5v1, or maybe he struggles, get's some assistance, then pulls it off. Instead what they decide to do is have each member of team flash fight their own speedster.

They have Cecile beat Godspeed by simply looking at him. Khione beats Zoom by absorbing his lightning and throwing it back at him. Keep in mind, Zoom can catch lightning and throw it back at whoever throws it. We saw this in Season 2.

Nora's fight with Savitar was acceptable because it's two speedsters. Towards of their insanely short fight, Savitar grabs Nora the same way he did to Iris back in season three. This would've been good if she didn't escape his clutch and immediately die to his own dagger. Back in season three whenever Barry used the speed bazooka, Savitar easily dodged it, despite the fact that the beam of the bazooka moved faster than Mach 7. Realistically, Nora is faster than this. However, in the Elseworlds crossover Barry says he's running Mach 7 while lapping around the world 5 times in one second. So if Savitar can easily dodge something moving at that kind of speed, how does he get stabbed in the back without any slight maneuver.

Best part of this episode was that Thawne actually killed Chester! Oh wait... he didn't? Whenever I was watching this moment, I knew he wouldn't die. These directors are too scared to kill of these characters, even if they're side characters.

The name of this show is "The Flash" not "Cecile and Friends", so stop writing it like that. Literally one of the final scenes for the entire show is Joe proposing to Cecile. This part should be about BARRY ALLEN, you know, the main character? Eric Wallace keeps giving all these side characters their own episode. All these people who are giving this episode a 10/10 have to be bots.

I've never been more disappointed with a Flash episode, and this is even worse because it's the GRAND FINALE. Poor writing, poor pacing, poor climax, poor characters, poor everything.

#RewriteTheFlashFinale.

GOODBYE, FLASH
lucasbradshaw202224 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I can't believe we're here, The Flash is officially over.

It's been a long journey with many highs and many MANY lows. I mean damn, did you see the last 6 seasons? I think the last actual good episode of the show was season 4 episode 15 where Barry had to prevent a nuclear bomb from destroying the city, it was a phenomenal episode. I only wish the rest of the remaining show could've been that consistent, but it is what it is.

Goodbye, Grant. Thank you for all the good memories and amazing performances you put on for us even when the show was heavily declining. I'm happy the show ended on somewhat of a high, but I am not satisfied. I wish Iris, Allegra, Chester and absent parent Cecile would've had a harsh ending to their characters instead of this happy ending nonsense, but it is what it is.

Everyone, let's give the The CW a HUGE THANK YOU! For ruining the shows potential by hiring Eric Wallace as the shows show runner for the past 6 seasons! Absolutely tarnished an amazing show! !!!

Yeah that's pretty much it. I'm glad this show is finally over so I no longer have to force myself to watch it anymore haha.

No, but seriously goodbye, Grant, you were and always will be the best Flash, fair well.

Disappointing, but we all knew that.
jaxpov25 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Look, I loved this show, but it's become so alienated from its first few seasons that it's unrecognizable. The past 4 seasons have been intolerable, so what would make this season any different. Nothing. This season is the worst yet, and this finale does nothing to make it better. They bring back all the old villains, who somehow have completely different personalities now. The acting from each of them is bottom notch (including zoom). There is no effort put into making the dialogue compelling or engaging. They brought back the goddam lightsabers and it's as goofy as ever. Man, what happened to this show?

A very big letdown
18Buddha27 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
What seemed like a very promising ending ended up falling very flat down under. This episode had all of the past speedster villains reappear to challenge the Flash & it was an epic moment to witness as Reverse Flash, Zoom, Savitar, Godspeed & Cobalt Blue were zooming all over fighting Team Flash in a very colorful & visually explosive way but the problem was it all ended too fast. Clearly 1 episode to tie up 5 of the toughest speedster villains made it seem rushed & sloppy even though I thought the visuals for the fight scenes had knocked a home-run with their efforts! I know their budgets would be killer too have 5 villains zipping n zooming everywhere & the slow motion rendering would have racked up quite an expense; so its totally understanding that it had to be short but c'mon?? 1 episode?? I mean they could have made it 3 episodes and use the powers sparingly to save money lol or at the very least spend more money too close this series on a high note even.

Awful
zjzsgmdqs26 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I've never rated a show before but I had to come here for this. I've watched The Flash from the start and slowly watched it decline over time- this finale manages to take the cake in terms of poor storytelling.

The villains should not have been defeated so easily, they may as well have not been in the episode. Aside from this, granting OP powers to Khione and Cecile made no sense. Watching Cecile randomly fly on my tv screen was quite jarring to say the least. Other moments, like Cecile defeating 12 speedsters who were running towards her, demonstrate the lack of thought given towards her character.

Interestingly enough, The Flash himself, the supposed main character of the show, had a limited role in the finale. He basically barely fought and talked his way to success.

Overall this episode was nonsensical and extremely rushed, a disappointing end to a series that had a lot of potential.

Expected something else but let's forget about that....
anafarm25 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
What do I say about this episode?

I have a lot of feelings, but it's hard to write all of them.

I was 17 when The Flash started, and I can't believe it's been nearly a decade since that day 😭 Maybe we all expected more, because Barry Allen always showed us the best, but to end this path, for this moment, just for once, I'm going to give up logic and give a grade for my heart.

I'll sacrifice all the things I might want to complain about final, for the happy smiles of Barry and I'm glad he's finally reached the happy ending he deserves.

I'm sad we didn't see Cisco for the last time.

But the presence of Wells and Caitlin's return was a huge relief to our emotions and memories.

I would like to thank Grant Gustin from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you for being our flash and always showing us your best.

I'll never forget you and I hope to see you in the next Flash and DC project.

Thanks for everything you've done for us in these all years, Gonna miss you guys 😭⚡🙏💐

Waste of a finale
blakeisaiah25 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
That was a waste of my time they brought back some of the best villains and wrote them terribly zoom would of thrown down and tore up some people but he was written weakly thawne wouldn't have taken that much damage in any of the earlier seasons Savitar should've killed Nora and the fact that Barry doesn't die changes Nora's whole personality and excistence this was a waste of space episode that could've been amazing and the whole I'm not gonna fight you anymore from Barry to Eddie was stupid because with as much rage as Eddie had he would've killed Barry just like thawne would've killed Barry in season one if Eddie didn't shoot himself also what was the deal with them living in coexcistense like that was so dumb because Eddie should've killed Barry because of the headline in the news article in seasons 1-3 I guess they forgot how to tell a story this show came to a sad ending and they could've written such a better episode it was as if this episode was written by 5th graders.

The worst send-off
subpqwr26 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This show was amazing for the first 3 seasons, then it dipped, it was never terrible. But this episode? It's the worst episode I've seen in any show ever, considering that it's a finale for a show that has been going for 9 years. How do you even manage to mess up an episode with some of the best villains in live action all fighting together? This episode was hardly about the flash. It focused way too much on side character's like Cecile and Allegra. They shouldn't be able to talk on villains with so much experience so quickly and easily. Nora beating Savitar in 2 seconds? Should've at least put up a fight. Someone should've died in this episode instead of nerfing every villain. There is no way that Allegra should be able to beat thawne. And zoom? He was like a complete baby. There were no hints of the terrifying villain he was in season 2. Barry should've been the one to take on the villains, the whole season led up to this. The show is about the flash, focus on the flash.

Series finale of the flash review
jemeyer-5366525 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I was not thrilled to see zoom, Godspeed and savitar to be defeated so quickly. I have to admit when Cecile was defeating all the Godspeed clones so easily; that made me very frustrated. Same thing with zoom and khione. But the savitar and Nora seen was okay just wish it was longer. The fight scenes between Eddie and Barry was sick. The CGI was on point there. Eddie's running animation was also very good. Overall I would've liked to see Barry 1x5 them. I would say this was a solid way to end the show and very sad it's over. This show has being going on for 9 years. There had been ups and downs but overall the flash will hands down be one of my favorite tv shows ever!

See you soon Flash!
arvinjanasis26 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
One of the "should be" THE BEST turned out to be one of the most disappointing episodes and finales of this series. The speedster big bads were just defeated by somehow "overpowered" Cecille, Allegra, Khione and XS whereas it took Barry, Cisco, Wally, Jay and the rest of the team to defeat a speedster villain. Makes you question how Barry took 1 season to defeat them.

This ending felt like rush and was not thought of thoroughly. The ending should have had Cisco and Wally. Harrison Wells' cameo as well was felt forced. The ending wherein Joe proposed to Cecille felt it was just added and not really needed. Too many to count.

With the bad stuff from the finale episode of this beloved series, one of the good parts of it was Caitlin being back despite being unnecessary already.

This finale, if they could reshoot it, if there's an alternate / extended edition, I would definitely watch it. The Flash is not complete without Cisco, Wally and Wells. The finale from season 3 felt the best season ending episode to the series.

As a series I have watched for almost a decade, thank you Flash, thank you Grant Gustin for bringing my most favorite superhero to life and doing justice to the greatest speedster ever. Thank you the rest of team Flash. It has been an honor.

See you soon Flash! Our, my only Flash, Grant Gustin!

QUALITY MISSING: VANISHES IN FINALE
demigodshmurda25 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I have been watching the Flash since season 1. The Arrowverse has been around for *literally* half of my life. But after watching this finale... I'm convinced I would've rather DCTV just ended after Flash season 3. Seriously, that was a much better ending. Does it mean we would've never gotten Bloodwork? Yeah. Does it mean we would've never gotten the best seasons of Legends of Tomorrow? Yeah. Does it mean we would've never gotten Stargirl, one of my favorite shows of all time? Yeah. I would sacrifice all of that if it means that the Flash ended after season 3. Because at least then the finale would've *felt* like a finale instead of this... Rancid flaming pile of horse vomit that I just watched.

And before you ask, yes, this episode was co-written by Eric Wallace. Just in case anyone was wondering whether "A New World, Part 1: Reunions" was a fluke or not.

So you've seen the trailers, you know who's showing up. And every good speedster villain (and Godspeed, but f' that guy amirite?) goes out like an absolute chump! There's not a single one of them that feels like they're given any amount of respect! The pairings of who fights who makes a little sense at least, but that doesn't make it better! Thawne gets stomped by Allegra because he's wearing Wells' face, Zoom gets wrecked by Khione because she's inhabiting Caitlin's body (we'll get to it), Savitar gets shredded by Nora since she's his daughter, and Godspeed gets beaten by the main character Cecile because they had, like, two conversations in season 7. The pairings aren't the problem (except that the three good speedster villains *each* deserved a crack at Barry, Thawne especially). The problem is that these guys all took FULL TWENTY THREE EPISODE SEASONS to stop the first time around (and Godspeed only took 4 because screw him amirite?)! Talk about crapping all over the best parts of the show!

Also, did you really have to make all of them have red lightning? You couldn't have given Zoom his blue lightning, and Savitar and Godspeed their white lightning?

As for Barry and Cobalt Blue, you will not believe how he's defeated. That's right, it's every Flash fan's favorite power in Barry's arsenal! The true superpower of the Flash! The SPEECH FORCE!!! WOOOOOOO!!! Cobalt Blue, who the fanbase has been gassing up for YEARS, who I personally have been excitedly waiting on pins and needles for since Rick Cosnett made his triumphant return in "A New World, Part 1: Reunions", gets defeated by a pep talk. ... Do I even need to say anything?

Also, did you really have to give him the red lightning? His name is Cobalt Blue. BLUE. BLUE IS LITERALLY IN HIS NAME AND YOU COULDN'T GIVE HIM BLUE LIGHTNING?? He got to use his sword from the comics, so fair play for giving him that, but could you *really* not give him blue lightning?

Maybe I would've been a little more accepting of all that garbage if the series had fired any of the numerous Chekhov's Guns in the end here. But if you wanted that to happen, you're out of luck because this is Eric Wallace's Flash, and you can't convince me he genuinely cares about anything that came before the Eric Wallace Era. Just off the top of my head, Barry never created Savitar, never built Gideon, never vanished in a Crisis event with Red Skies (*cough* this episode has a red lightning storm so that counts *cough*), NEVER SAID "WE'RE GONNA NEED MORE DIAPERS" OF WHICH THERE IS *TWO* SEPARATE MOMENTS WHICH WOULD'VE BEEN PERFECT TO SLOT IN THAT LINE IN THIS EPISODE ALONE!! Oh, and Iris never wrote the article about Barry going missing either, so that's another one.

So let's fix all that, shall we? Let's *slightly* alter this episode so that those Chekhov's Guns can be fired, but the integrity (or lack thereof) of the episode remains intact.

1. Barry and Nora face off against Eddie and Savitar together. Savitar is about to stab Nora like he almost did to Iris, but Barry creates Time Remnants to stop him. Savitar is too fast, and with Cobalt Blue by his side the two of them slaughter each and every Time Remnant. Or, well, all but one. One that Eddie uses his energy sword to scar across the face. Nora then leads Savitar off so that Barry can fight Eddie himself. {bang} One down.

2. After the fight is over and Baby Nora's been born, Barry is shown tinkering on something at home as Iris is writing an article about the fight that just broke out in the city. Iris titles the article "Flash Missing: Vanishes in Crisis" since Barry went to fight Cobalt Blue in the Negative Speed Force, with a subheading of "Red Skies Vanish". Barry meanwhile is working on a simple home defense system that will automatically activate the meta dampeners in the loft if Nora's powers would put her in harm's way. He calls this system "Gideon". {bang bang bang} That's another few down.

3. Nora is playing with Baby Nora and is telling her parents about Baby Bart, to which Barry sighs. Iris asks him "You thinking what I'm thinking?" Barry nods and then says "We're gonna need more diapers." {bang}

Look at that. I've added not three minutes to the script of the episode, but instantly it feels like it respects the series it's part of a lot more. But because that stuff wasn't in the original episode we're now on strike three, and that means you're out!

And *all of that crap* is dwarfed by only one thing. How in the actual heck (gotta censor myself one more time for old times' sake, thanks IMDb) does Cecile manage to get THIS MUCH EMPHASIS put on her during the episode? How? HOW?? How does Cecile get to hug Khione *after* Barry, who's one of the last people that got to see Caitlin alive? How does Cecile get an emphasized shot of hugging Caitlin when she does come back? How did Cecile *time travel using her mind*, and "No Way Home" the Negative Speed Force out of Nora in the last episode?? HOW DO WE HAVE A SCENE OF JOE PROPOSING TO CECILE IN THE MIDDLE OF BARRY AND IRIS'S BABY SHOWER?? When the jokes about Cecile being the main character of the show are made, just know that *this* is what we're talking about. The preferential treatment she gets from the writers is truly blatant and unapologetic.

And how does the JV Squad know who Eddie Thawne is? Cecile *maybe* has an excuse since they might've crossed paths once or twice since he was a police detective and she was district attorney. So maybe the better question is how do the JV Squad all seem to know him *personally?* Why does Allegra say "I can't believe it! Eddie Thawne is the avatar?" with the intensity of someone personally being betrayed? These two characters *never* met before! None of them have!

Oh yeah, and the name "A New World, Part Four: Finale" is stupid. You don't put the word "finale" in your show's finale. That's dumb.

But you know what? I'll give them credit for a few things. Firstly, the opening scenes got me. Hearing the reused audio from the pilot alongside a similar establishing shot was awesome! And so was the allusion to the recycled running from season 1; seeing Barry run with only one side of his face showing and that rushing background was incredible! It was great to see all the old villains back again, even if they don't really get to do anything and some of their costumes got slightly downgraded (Godspeed's suit actually looks better which is surprising considering... you know, it's Godspeed).

And the final scene... Yeah, that was great. They actually found a really great way to impart the message from the pilot there. Oliver Queen once said that the lightning bolt chose Barry, so I like that he gets to choose the next generation of the Flash Family. Heck, Avery Ho even says to her boss that she doesn't have a car, which is another callback to the pilot!

That scene even works for all the people out there who wanted Barry to become the lightning bolt that strikes him. Personally, I think that idea is stupid because it implies that Barry has no free will. If Barry becomes the lightning bolt that strikes him, it means that every decision he makes isn't actually a decision, but is instead just another stepping stone towards getting him to repeat his cycle. But I think the ending we got in the show is actually the best of both worlds. Barry still becomes the lightning bolt, and he still chooses a new generation of Speedsters. But he still gets to live out the rest of his life. And it's all set to this really great narration that alludes to the intro sequences from the first season.

So all in all, we have a beginning that ranges from "alright" to "good", an honestly fantastic ending, and everything else is incomprehensibly terrible. In other words, it's a Flash finale.

But to add one final nail to this show's coffin, I got double bingo this episode. This brings my total number of bingos this season to 5, and my total number of *double* bingos this season to 2. I got bingo on exactly half of the episodes this season, and I'm just gonna leave it at that.

The Flash is dead, and it was MURDER!! I can see the headlines now. "Quality Missing: Vanishes in Finale".

Wasn't what I expect it...
Zedixdki25 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This was really disappointment finale...Eric Wallace finally ruined this show. They ruined Zoom, Savatar and Reverse Flash...and they all were beaten in the most impossible ways. Like how Cecile was faster than Godspeed reactions - he is a speedster😶 Flash didn't even fight vs them...He defeated Cobalt Blue by pep talks. So Cecile and Allegra are the most powerful? 🤣 They are more powerful than the flash? Allegra defeated Reverse Flash for 1 second...Savitar lost like that? This episode was absolutely joke. Did Eric Wallace forgot that Zoom can also catch lightings? The way how Nora defeated Savitar was just "brilliant". In this episode Flash didn't even fight. He didn't get update at all.

#RewriteTheFlashFinale
bundyted26 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Nothing can describe just how disappointed i am, Eric Wallace was the real villain here, any flash fan could come up with a ten times better script. I cant comprehend how they could fumble the final episode that had the most potential so hard. All that build up for the villains to die to side characters, Zoom died within 5 seconds of screen time, Savitar also dead in just 5 seconds. What was the point for all that build up for all of the villains and Cecile should not be able to keep up with the 'god of speed'. The fighting scene lasted like 10 minutes and half the screen time was just Nora being born. I cant fathom how they could disrespect Zoom and Thawne like that no way the just die to the most mid characters in the most mid way. Also cgi was absolutely horrdienous, how can cgi of this show get worse as it goes and also WHY is the rf suit so goofy, why not use the season 1 suit.

I also have so many questions such as -How is Nora able to phase her stomach????

-How does Cecile fly?

-How could Cecile anticapt a speedsters moves.

-How does Elgera beat THAWNE?

GRANT DESERVED BETTER!
mrfirebeatzispro24 June 2023
Warning: Spoilers
What was CW thinking while writing the script. All the previous villains of the show had such great character development but they destroyed everything by bringing them back. They randomly died like they were nothing. It was good to see reverse flash again. Don't even get me started on the CGI I know it's always like this but they should have spent a little more on the new season. The actor who played Eddie was atrocious, his acting was so bad that I kept cringing while looking at him. It was good to see jay again. Overall it was a decent season which ended with a really bad finale and I hope they let the character rest.

A DISRESPECTFUL AND BLATANT MOCKERY TO THE SHOW'S LEGACY
WallaceWestMaximoff25 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The big bads of old seasons that made the public fall in love with the show and the character (Except that wannabe Godspeed), villians that were carefuly built by the old writers with good writing, that also took an entire season, a lot of effort, the participation of lots of different characters and small but meaningful plots to take them down in a believable way without hurting their credibility, and that were supposed to move at least as fast as the speed of sound were taken down in less than a second in a such humiliating way by a bunch of side characters that only Eric Wallace cared about? It's hard not to think that that it was purposefully meant to disrespect the aspects that made the people care about the show, Grant Gustin and all the cast that actually put their enthusiasm and commitment in this show (unlike the writers) deserved far better than this, the show itself deserved to end in a high note after all this time, in a better universe it did.

It was good while it lasted. Farewell Flash. Farewell Barry Allen. Warning: Spoilers
After nearly a decade on the air, the CW's THE FLASH series wrapped up its run with "A New World, Part Four." It was the last show standing of the Arrowverse, the network's live action corner of the DC Comic universe carved out by producer Greg Berlanti. ARROW might have been the show that kicked it off, but THE FLASH was my favorite, if only because I thought Grant Gustin's Barry Allen was the definitive take on the character.

I've said in the past that I thought this show was past its prime, and should have come to an end several seasons ago, but I have few complaints against the 9th and final season with its 13 episode run. It had the kind of convoluted plotting we've come to expect, especially when it came to time travel, the Speed Force, and characters who continually returned from the dead. It was great to see Stephen Amell back one more time as Oliver Queen and David Ramsey's John Diggle made a final bow in earlier episodes from this season. We got all that in spades in the series final arc, which reached all the way back to Season 1 and resurrected Rick Cosnett's Eddie Thawne, and made him the Big Bad in the form of Cobalt Blue, the avatar of the Negative Speed Force. This made sense as Eddie had sacrificed his life to save Barry from the Reverse Flash, and in the process denied himself the life he would have had with Iris West, who married Barry instead. Eddie proceeds to bring back the Legion of Doom, who go up against Team Flash, and we are treated to some of the best super-speed street battles ever in the show. Talk about going out on a technical high note. Ultimately, the Barry/Eddie fight is resolved in a satisfying way, one that plays to the aspects of Barry's character which have always made him a true hero: his compassion and empathy and his ability to achieve the impossible. All of this revolves around the impending birth of Baby Nora, and I don't care what the show asserts, it has to be bending the laws of time travel until they break to have young adult Nora in the room with her infant self. If I could find any fault with this last season, it is that it felt rushed at only 13 episodes, the Eddie Thawne arc was worthy of the whole season, not just four episodes, and Team Flash deserved more character development.

The final episode brought back some familiar faces: always glad to see John Wesley Shipp (who played the first TV Flash decades ago) as Jay Garrick, and Tom Cavanaugh showed up as the Reverse Flash, and some version of Harrison Wells, one more time. It would have been nice to have seen Carlos Valdes as Cisco again, but the episode was probably too crowded as it is. Lots of plotlines were tied up (it was good to see Caitlin again), and they gave us an ending on a high note, with Barry and Iris, and everyone else in a good place with the introduction of some new speedsters. The finale left us with the implication that this corner of the DC Universe is continuing with new adventures, but with the wrapping up of the Arrowverse, they will likely be confined to the fans' imaginations or fanfiction sites. Maybe DC will give us some comics with this iteration of the speedster universe-that would be nice. SUPERMAN AND LOIS and GOTHAM KNIGHTS are still on the air, but they are not connected to this universe, and the future of those shows is very much up in the air. It was all good while it lasted, and maybe we'll see Grant Gustin do a cameo in Ezra Miller's THE FLASH movie. That would tie a nice bow on the whole thing.

Season 1 was undoubly the best Season, also Season 2-3-4 were great.....

But....there where really bad bad Episodes and Seasons, cringy acting , bad acting

The Series Finale was ok, good.... i liked it but also my expectations were really , really low after what we saw in the Final Season ......

The Flash, one of the longest running Tv Shows i folllows in my life, with the end of this show the Arrowverse comes to an End, i will miss it but everything must end !

There Are Things that could have been done way way better if this Show wasn´t a CW-Show, maybe someday we will get another Flash-Tv Show , a more Serious one, maybe in the new Gunn-Universe somehow.....

Goodbye Flash, You Had a Good Run !

Warning: Spoilers
This season contained a whole bunch of garbage episodes and it almost look like the directors prepared all the thrilling parts for the last episodes. I was naive enough to believe it so but who am I kidding😅.

It only took less than half the episode for the big-bads to be steamrolled by this ridiculous team🤣. How about making good use of the episodes you wasted earlier? Chemical reactions between the evil speedsters, plot twist of Reverse-flash origin, Barry striking himself as a lightning, and how Barry utilized the legion's internal disagreement to finally defeat them instead of talking his way out. All these amazing possibilities were utterly wasted, because the directors chose the worst way to arrange and film the last season and the final episode.

I'm glad that cisco never chose to return, and I do enjoy the return of Catlin, so that makes 2 and only 2 OG team flash members saved.

This episode was a great way to end the show, and he also was able to mention some possible spin offs. When all the villains came back even for some times it made the episode better than a regularly episode, and to have their old voices and themes back just for a little bit was great. Though they should have kept the villains for a bit longer than like 3 - 5 mins. This was also a good way to end the arrow verse because they have been teasing for Barry allen and iris west Allen to have a kid since season 4 and they did after 5 years of marriage. Which is reasonable though a bit weird Thanks Eric.

The end of the line

9 years and it's over in a Flash. This should have been a two parter and felt rushed but overall it was still an enjoyable episode especially compared to the first half of this season. The finale scene really plays into the comics with the Flash being a legacy. With returning characters and a lot of action you can tell most of the money was saved for this episode. I think finale's are some of the hardest things to get right so fair play to the team behind the scenes they gave it a 110 percent and as for Grant Gustin Barry /Flash himself he will go down as one of the best versions of the Flash to ever Grace our screens.

Absolutely horrendous

Warning: Spoilers
The Flash has finally come to an end after 9 years. Seasons 1-3 being amazing but after that the show declined into what just happened in this finale. Godspeed, reverse flash, zoom, and savitar were all one shotted by side characters no one cares about. Godspeed is one shotted by Cecile. CECILE. AND SHE CAN FLY NOW. This episode is genuinely one of the worst pieces of television I have ever seen. The only good thing about this episode is the ending. Challegra had an entire 30 seconds dedicated to them kissing. I expected them to mess up but I don't understand how they could mess up this badly.

Build up to NOTHING.

Warning: Spoilers
Good Riddance, Flash. Our last episode of the show. A goodbye to the series. 9 years taking a bow. However you want to look at what this episode was supposed to be, it will never be what it should have been.

Where to begin? Let's start with the villains.

An evil legion of speedsters brought together by the negative speed force to take down Barry Allen for good. That on paper sounds terrifying. Zoom alone is a maniac and pair him with Reverse Flash who has lived through so much hell, you have an unstoppable duo. Add the weaker two speedster thugs (Savitar and Godspeed) and you've got yourself years of pain, anguish, and loss for Barry Allen. The mental strain of seeing these monstrous beings together should be crushing AND you add their powers!? Presumably Unstoppable. How were they stopped? Individually by different team flash members in a span of 2 minutes. Barry barely fought anyone, Cecile pointed her fist at Godspeed and he was down, Nora seamlessly walked away from Savitar after vibrating, and Zoom was stopped by Caitlin 3.0 using .... the force I guess to project his lightning back at him. Then the entire team goes and talks about it.

After that? Hmmm it seems Eddie is going to take too much negative speed force and blow up, so how do we save him? Don't worry, just talk to him. Believe. That'll do the trick. GREAT! Well folks, that's exactly what we did. Barry just appears in the negative speed force , talks to Eddie, gets his ass kicked, talks to Eddie again, we get a montage of flashbacks that we've seen 1,000 times already and then Eddie says never mind and destroys the crystal. All done. No fight. No drama. No "edge of your seat" moments. Just a misunderstanding and the problem's now solved.

Now we get watch the remaining scenes of the obligatory "we won now let's drink" team flash party BUT we're graced with the birth of Barry and Iris' baby as well as time breaking events like Nora being there for her own birth. The birth scene is honestly really sweet, but the entire hype/ excitement of it is trampled by the lack of quality in every scene that comes before it. 8 minutes into this episode, I was just looking to see how much longer I had to endear this.

The episode ends with basically creating more speedsters , Barry saying everything is fine now, and us wondering why we bothered watching this show past Crisis on Infinite Earths. It's hard to believe a team of writers said "this is it. Our finale to end the show. We nailed it". I honestly wish I could see the full script for this episode and learn if A. Anything was cut B. If the fight scenes were supposed to be cooler or C. If it just said "we'll figure it out"

The acting in this episode was some of the worst this season. When you're evil, you gradually get louder until you're yelling. When you're good, you look worried and then happy. Allegra crying over the much obvious still alive Chester was somehow the best acting we were going to get. Joe West couldn't even save it with his Grandpa Joe smile and charm. I did enjoy him singing one last time, though.

This entire episode felt like a mid season finale or an ending to a really bad season, but nowhere close to a curtain call. Side note: can we talk about how Mark didn't fight in this episode at all. Suited up and stood next to Khione while she did all the work. Literally served no purpose.

To Flash Fans who stand by this show to the very end: I'm sorry you don't see how cheated you were. You deserved so much more than this pile of garbage that was handed to you.

To those of us who got involved again hoping that the ending would have some solid closure: We got tricked. Shame on us for coming back.

To Mr. Wallace and the rest of the people responsible for this: I'm not mad, I'm just disappointed.

What a let down and waste of time. I'm glad it's over.

Thank you Flash season 1 and 2. Thank you Crisis. Thank you Grant. Sucks it ended this way. The End.
