This guy's stuff is basically just AVGN but without all the humor. His stuff is poorly written, poorly acted and poorly shot. He knows nothing about making decent content. Basically his claim to fame is he's hoarded a ton of video games and consoles and that somehow makes him think he's entertaining...well I got news for ya 🤣🤡

Honestly his early stuff although it's very low quality, has some heart and is relatable but then he changed to just make content for the clicks and would riff on AVGN episodes or he would hire dominatrix for episodes. Other than that, there's nothing to keep you watching his stuff.

WarGames (1983)

A portal into the early 80s

If you want to understand the sensibilities of a young person in the early 80s, watch this movie. You don't find movies made with plots like this outside of this era. Back then anytime the plot of a movie revolved around young people playing video games and those games/computers somehow possibly brining the end of the world, we were there for it.

If you don't take it too seriously it's a fun "dramedy" that has enough action and quirky stuff to keep you interested till the end...even if you didn't live in the 80s. Sheedy and Broderick let their usual charm shine. If you like them in other movies you will like them in this.

Renfield (2023)

A nice surprise

Who knew this movie had more in common with movies like John Wick and IP man than it does Dark Shadows?

The trailers looked like the movie would be amusing, but didn't really do a good job of showing the true tone of the film. Maybe there were a lot of last min edits?

I will say that it's weird how the majority of movie surrounds a police/dead cop storyline that somehow involves dracula and the title character as well as weird addiction counseling. So some of that does seem weirdly out of place...but somehow gets a pass...if you love action comedy movies.

That's where this movie shines. Cool action scenes are plentiful early and often. Unique kill scenes and practical effects, one liners and even 80s montages!!

In the end this movie is quirky fun and fast paced. Think Edward Scissorhands meets John Wick meets Leathal Weapon.

It's a fun modern western movie. Action packed. Script is solid but not groundbreaking. One of Kilmers best performances. Totally worth the 130mins to watch.

Headmaster Charleston drops in and offers the charmed ones an offer they can't refuse. Paige gets pissy about it all. Cole drops in from the astral plane fighting sand snakes. In all Rory doesn't have to leave Chilton and Phoebe can finally put Cole out to pasture for good.

You have a heart of Stone! Overall the episode was your average Flash story but the scene between Joe and Barry was a real tear-jerker. 😢😢 Both actors did a superb job of really helping the viewer suspend their disbelief.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker (2019)

Having been a fan of Star Wars for 40 years now, I really don't understand the hate that so many people have spewed on this movie already. Is it the greatest movie ever? No. Is it a fun action packed movie with a lot of awesome moments? YES!!! Im not sure what else a fan could've wanted for the conclusion of this trilogy.

Stop listening to hate online before actually seeing a movie and actually make your own decisions about whether you like a movie or not.

Having grown up in the Portland OR area and graduated HS in the 90s it's like a trip back in time. Well acted, great music and fun writing. Well worth your time.

Angry Video Game Nerd: The Movie (2014)

Not perfect but funny

James meant this to be a B movie In the vein of Plan 9 from outer space, which happens to be one of his favorite movies of all time and some of the inspiration for his career. He also wanted to mix in aspects of other favorite movies of his like PeeWees Big Adventure and on those fronts he succeeded.

Considering the budget, crew and time he had to make the movie it was pretty damn solid. Sure, it's not the best movie ever, but it was never going to be. The main point is if you're a fan of the nerd character, you should find this movie entertaining. If you were expecting a Hollywood blockbuster, then you just don't understand how movies are made, or understand James AT ALL.

The Umbrella Academy (2019–2024)

Solid show for fans of the Graphic Novels

A lot of people here complaining about the show OBVIOUSLY have no idea that this is based off of a comic Series. The complaints about the characters are especially cringe worthy. For example they don't seem to understand that Luther looks the way he does because his head was transplanted onto a Martian gorilla after an accident he had. It's a fun show with fun characters and solid script. It's not going to win any Emmys but it's very entertaining for what it is.

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part (2019)

A fun movie but not NEARLY as good as the original.

At times the jokes and script feel mailed in. The overall plot and ending seem a little clunky. Performances by the actors are hit and miss... especially Charlie Day. What was up with that? My wife and I are big fans of his and BOTH of us thought that it didn't even sound like him... Overall it's worth watching once it drops onto a streaming service.

Fighting with My Family (2019)

I stopped watching WWF about 10 years or so ago, around the time the Rock and others were leaving...but I STILL loved this movie.

Fun coming of age story with a great amount of laughter, drama, and of course wrestling. Well paced with decent writing and all the actors do well in their roles. For wrestling fans and non fans alike. There's something for everyone to like.

What Men Want (2019)

Lots of the Jokes are a swing and miss in this one

Love Taraji and some of the other actors in this movie and wanted to like it. But I walk away thinking this movie is on the bad side of mediocre. Like something you would watch in the middle of the night and you had nothing but basic cable to watch.

The scrip comes off as awkward frequently throughout the movie. Several bizzare lines/scenes that just make you say "wtf" out loud. I wonder what sort of stuff was left on the cutting room floor if this is the stuff that made the movie.

There really isn't much here to draw you in. Most of the humor is jammed in just for the sake of having it.

I can appreciate doing something different with the source material, but this is basically the same exact movie with more sophomoric humor than the original. Any charm that the original had was lost with this script.

Second Act (2018)

Went in expecting one type of movie but left confused

Went in thinking this was gonna be your average RomCom with some cute jokes, but when my GF turned to me and questioned where they we're going with her rival co-worker storyline mins before the big reveal all I could think was...nooo they wouldn't go that route...but oh boy did they. After that, it turns into a totally different movie with a forced storyline that doesn't seem to fit the tone of the movie that they had been advertising and promoting. Totally takes you out of the movie watching groove and has you questioning what you were even watching. It's like they finished the movie, thought the jokes were flat, then tried to turn it into a family drama movie that takes itself way too seriously all of a sudden. The actors all have serviceable roles, but the story is almost unfollowable. It has it's entertaining moments but overall the movie is a jumbled mess that isn't sure what it wants to be or what story it wants to tell. Too many other better movies in this genre. You won't be missing much if you don't watch this movie.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018–2020)

Solid Show didnt think I would like it but I do

First things first this is a show based off the COMIC BOOK OF THE SAME name. This has VERY LITTLE to do with the original Archie comics from years past and NOTHING to do with the old sitcom from the 90s. This show would appeal more to fans of Buffy than those of the old Sabrina sitcom

The show has decent writing and acting, nothing groundbreaking but certainly entertaining.

Crazy Rich Asians (2018)

Went and saw the movie with the girlfriend today and walked away disappointed.

This movie is basically your below average rom-com with an all asian cast. The comedy is very limited in this movie. It takes itself wayyy too seriously and emphasizes the serious parts of the romance to it's own detriment. Doesnt help that the movie is like 20 mins too long either. I honestly felt like I was watching Chinese Young and the Restless or something. The writing seems more akin to a low budget TV show than a full feature film.

If you love the Genre of "hey, look how rich I am" then I guess this movie is for you, for the rest of you, it's better off avoiding this altogether.
