Robert projects are Amazing but people are not prepaired for changes. Shame . They said they want a total transformation but when is presented yo them they choose the projects with less changes.

Great show

I have seen many home renovation shows. But this one tops it all. Very innovative and amazing designs. It's great what both the architects design with such small spaces. Actual renovations are even better.

Highly recommended

Love this series! What a great way to be able to see the finished renovation before it's even started. In most instances the finished product is better than the VR experience shown. Incredible concept for a renovation show.

Love love love

Such a great way to help people with visualising how to build/make their home work for them. Not just generic ideas like other shows but really looking at how they live and fundamentally what they really need to maximise their home. Couldn't recommend this show enough. Seeing 2 very different approaches from 2 amazing architects/designers is fantastic as you don't usually get to see more than one option with most home make over shows. Highly highly recommended.

good but could be easily improved
jarveyjayes-892317 January 2022
Excellent but no need to do a full intro of the architects on every episode, also not necessary to gush about the 3D tech on every episode. We get it. Could show more of the build and definitely show more of the finished house. More show, less tell.

It is great to see how homes can be renovated and hear some of the things that professional architects can make your home better with a budget. Awesome show!

Innovative & Genuinely Instructive
JoSoFein5 June 2022
I so appreciate this show because of how much I learned. As an American who lived in England and who traveled extensively throughout Great Britain (all 4 countries), I have a good sense of the limitations of living in many of the types of property available, especially the older ones. Having two radically different interpretations from architects who genuinely tried to solve clients' needs was so interesting and educational. This show gave me so much inspiration, since as a professional organizer, I am always looking for new ideas to solve my clients organizational needs within their space limitations. I so appreciate the time the show takes to help the viewer translate some of the specific solutions the architects had for each shows clients. Well done all around.

BIT UNREALISTIC
zendatrim29 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
OK i have worked with structural engineers typing copious amounts of reports. SOME of the designs for like 35,000 or 45,000 are totally unrealistic. They say there is no structural changes but there are. As soon as you remove a wall you can unearth all kinds of problems. The planning alone for some of the projects could take months even over a year. Planning is long winded. Several of the designs especially ROBERTS ALWAYS seem to the same to me. Take all the walls out and join rooms together oh and dont forget the seating all round the edge of the room, how boring. THE ONE WITH THE BED PODS was hysterically funny. As if anyone would live that way with young children confined in boxes with no place to play and just sleep I couldnt see that happening.

No i am sorry the designs for the money were just not real. 35,000 wouldnt get you much some of the windows would cost like thousands of pounds without moving staircases and walls and having to use supporting beams to stop walls collapsing.

I enjoyed the concept of the programme but it was bit long winded. I will continue watching it if there is another season as well it was entertaining if not actually 100% factual.

Excellent, except...

Warning: Spoilers
Robert's designs are far more innovative and imaginative than Laura's, and yet, again and again, Laura wins and we see a slightly different version of the last home on the previous episode--also designed by Laura. She's talented and clearly gives people what they want...but the show needs to do a better job of finding people who want something personal and new. That's what I want and what I want to see. The clients always opt for being boring for re-sale value (even though they claim to never want to move...). The houses all look the same and it gets really boring and frustrating after a while (especially since the host is obviously biased against Robert and let's the clients know it). I'd love to watch the spin-off: "Your Home Reimagined with Robert." Please make that show complete with the VR tours!

More Robert's designs please!
kczdjpxdc19 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I think Robert is an innovative architect delivering specific solutions that fit what clients want and need. Clients are too afraid of a bold innovative ideas that are more about the living style and how we can improve our well being. I loved how he designed Denise and Christine's House thinking about their own gateway space when hosting a large family at the house, and adding a lift so needed in a three floor house. Laura is a great architect hence very often delivers boring contemporary designs with a minimum of innovative solutions. I felt quite frustrated after this episode. Host of the show is great! I like Laura's personality too. The structure of the show is great for me as an interior designer hence I can understand when people will be annoyed but the amount of technical talking about the issues in the properties instead of showing more decorative details and ideas.

Hostess
feleciaf-550228 November 2021
The hostess was always prejudice toward Laura's design and negative toward Robert's. She needed to be neutral made me always want him to win the contract.

Bias Host - Robert is creative
tuson0612 July 2023
Extremely bias and annoying host. Shocking how the producers continue to work with her. Laura makes the same design you'll see any refurbished townhouse in London. Quite boring, repetitive and pretty basic. And the host falls in love with her designs every-time. I guess she is as dull as Laura's repetition one style kitchen centered designs ( you can also tell from her earring choices). I am binging this so it really annoyed me. This is the first time ever I am writing a review on IMDB. Robert wins. Yes his bench choice gets repetitive too and sometimes it is unconventional but it is much more than that. He is creative in an artistic way. Inspiring. However ppl choose Laura over and over. How disappointing.

Decent interior design program
jlw9320 September 2022
This is a decent interior design program for people who like that kind of thing. However, the program is way too long at 1 hour. Really it could be half as long and still get the point across. There is too much unnecessary chatting, I found myself fast forwarding through most of the program. All I need to see is the before, the designs and after its competed. It seems the VR and CGI in season 2 has lost a lot of its budget compared to season 1 which has a lot more detail and more realistic. The presenter at times can be annoying and biased towards one of the designers more than the other. It would be nice to see how moving staircases affects the first floor layout. Also, seeing a valuation of the house before and after would be interesting.

Love Roberts creativity!
ogilviestephanie2 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I was enjoying this, but am really boring of Laura's designs now. They are continuously the same ideas. And the homes she desings are exactly how every Jo Soap renos their homes nowadays. Robert is actually creative, he thinks outside the box and it is sad how even people who say that want something new and different, end up picking very conventional boring designs by Laura.

Annoying host but decent concept
garthtruscott8 January 2022
The show itself isn't too bad, they pontificate a lot and drone on and on about the designs, the show could probably be 10-15 minutes shorter without all the filler. I dont know why Angela can't support her weight when visiting the final project, always leaning on people's walls or sitting on their new worktop or child's bed. Richard rarely wins because he designs spaces that no normal person would want.

More Robert Please!!!
sbangel-1014213 January 2022
Warning: Spoilers
4* Just for how DULL Laura is. 10* for Robert though!

Laura has repetitive, boring renovations that lack any creative flair at all- yet only get chosen because they offer visible storage unlike Roberts creative solutions- with actual architecture.

It is boring watching her win all the time - I have actually stopped watching it after watching people fall in love with Roberts designs but the hostess steers so much Laura's way I think this is actually a detriment to his commissions. As a viewer, it is also dull and feels like he is there just to provide that sense of competition, and a design that is SO opposite her own. Just call it the Laura designs boring homes show, and give Robert his own creative homes one and I will happily hop that way to see them come to life. He can also come sort mine out too. I love it for Robert- hate it for Laura.

Great concept, but biased
jordi-farscape12 February 2022
Showing the projects with VR goggles is a great way of showcasing the designs, makes me think if I would want to do this if I refurbished my place...

Great architects, but the program needs to start picking better projects. The guest profiles (middle aged, boring people) end up playing to Laura's strengths, therefore she always wins. And the host can stop taking digs at Robert, he's a great competitor and one of the shows greatest strengths. Not watching season 3, hoping Robert can come back for seasons 4 or 5.

I laughed so hard
Gold_Fish29 March 2023
Only on episode 1 and they're showing all these angles and they're all marked as 45 degrees when they're obvious 120, 40 and 90... And they've removed all walls from the drawing including structural support walls. The couple cries happily cause they can see a nice house and I'm laughing as I imagine how the top floor is slowly going to cave in on the bottom one.

Also all those angles are horrible and I mean horrible for lying floors and finding suitable furniture.

Wtf. They are scamming people.

Considering how much they broke the property I bet it cost them more than 50k, money they will never see back when selling the house. Unless they advertise it was on a TV show.
