Ugh! What is this?
10 April 2024
It was very tough to watch this. There is no story, the acting is bad. Almost everything about it is garbage.

I think this is the worst Zac Efron movie I have watched till now. The cast wasn't that bad but somehow they managed to act in a way it seemed they were forced. The dialogues also seemed forced. Especially, after one of their screw ups, the dialogue between the two brothers and the father was hard to swallow.

Usually, for such garbage, I don't wait until the end. But as there was Zac Efron in it (plus Adam Devine), I thought of giving it a shot till the end. But the whole 90+ minutes was total waste.

I liked it
5 April 2024
I think it's a great story. I won't say anything more about it as it might spoil it for you. I enjoyed it very much.

Many people, I see, are complaining that it's a hodgepodge of other mystery stories. But I don't see a problem with that as along as it's enjoyable and not plagiarized.

Well, I would have rated it higher, if not for the actress playing the character Imogene. All other actors were good.

Usually I don't write a review if it hasn't been really good. But I was very surprised to find that it was canceled after 1 season. I mean there are many worse series which have run for longer than 1 season. It's really unfortunate. I hope they will revive it.

Better than most Indian film but not a rating 9 movie
3 January 2024
There is a hype going on about the movie in Bangladesh, so I watched it with high expectation because I found hyped movies to be very good usually.

But this movie wasn't that good from cinematic point of view. The main reason behind the hype was only due to it's story about the IPS exam. People in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh root for these exams. Main goal of most of the graduates of these countries is to become a civil servant. So, people liked it a lot.

From cinematic point of view, the story could be better. For quite a time the story focused on the protagonist's love story which I don't think wasn't that important.

Then comes the acting. While Vikrant Massey was good others were not that good.

In a nutshell, it's an enjoyable movie but don't keep a high expectation.

Summer Finn, you b***h!
28 December 2023
Oh, what a movie! Another character to be added in my most hated loved characters' list.

Joseph Gordon Levitt! His movie 50/50 is one of my favorites. He was also great in this movie. He portrayed his career too well.

The female lead had also put great acting. However, the character was written in a way that viewers are forced to hate it to some extent. Like Cersei of Game of Thrones. You hate the character, but you know Lena Heyday was great.

The story was good. And the non linear way of telling it also made it a movie of somewhat different taste. The ending (of the story) was also good, not something predictable like many other romantic drama (it's not a spoiler as at the beginning you are informed how it is gonna end).

Overall an enjoyable movie.

Nothing good with this movie
25 December 2023
A movie where everything has gone wrong.

First the story. It had (and I think still has) great background. But the overall story of this first movie makes no sense. I mean why on earth a single village would even think of resisting an empire that is in power for 1000 kings (so at least 10000 years). It just makes no sense.

Then come to the acting. Man they had almost no emotion. Sofia Boutella, come on! At least try to connect to the scenes you are acting. Others actors also didn't do that good, however, many of them didn't get enough screen time.

The action scenes are also totally unrealistic. I think even Tamil (an Indian movie industry known for unrealistic action sequences) movies are more realistic than this.

While Zac Snyder has some good movies, I think he messes things up a lot when it comes to pure sci-fi. He messed up the Justice League, now this one.

Coming into life of one of the most popular Bengali song
23 December 2023
There is a song about friendship in Bengali about seven friends who used to hang out in a coffee shop but are now not connected. The song name is "Coffee houser sei addata aaj ar nei" (means somewhat like thai: 'The hangout at the coffee shop doesn't happen any more').

Watching this series reminded that song a lot. The song was written in the early 80s. I don't know if the creators of the show were in any way inspired by that. I am mainly writing this review to mention about this song. The rest you can ignore - the summary is that it's recommended and I don't like the character played by Jennifer Anniston.

About the series itself:

I would have given it a 10 if for not Rachel-Ross's not so believable ending. While I don't like this duo same as the others, the acting was pretty good. Jennifer Anniston was great.

Other casts were also great. It's surprising that none of the male leads didn't have that successful career.

Among all the characters, I think I liked Chandler the most. And obviously Rachel the least. It's a recommended show. And also I think you would have had a hard time getting many meme made from this show's scenes if you haven't yet watched it.

Jawan (2023)

Very predictable
5 November 2023
Nothing new in the story. It's been quite some time that I have lost appetite for Bollywood movie. Still watched the two comeback movies of SRK as I am kind of a fan of him.

While I understand that SRK needed a film like Pathaan to regain his stardom, I don't think two back to back similar movies were necessary. However, for some reasons, Jawan has been the biggest box-office collection for SRK, so it has worked for him.

Well, I have already said it's a very predictable story. And I think there have been many movies with similar storyline.

Besides story, the acting of most of the actors were below par (compared to respective selves), especially Nyanthara. Also, I don't think it's not necessary to mention that SRK's acting was as always very good. It doesn't matter what the story is, he is always good. Sethupathi was also good but rest were quite dull. I have given it 5 stars mainly due to these two actors.

Too funny!
22 October 2023
What a great series! It definitely would be on my most favorite tv series list. And when it comes to only comedy (w/o substantial amount of drama), it's the best show I have watched till now. And I am definitely going to watch the spin off "Young Sheldon".

The best thing about it is that it always remained light hearted. I think it only tried to entertain viewers, not preaching studio/director/producer's ideologies to them.

Along that the ending couldn't be more perfect. I won't say much as I don't want to spoil it (and I must say, "DON'T READ OR VIEW ANYTHING THAT COULD GIVE AWAY ANY PLOT HINTS" and thank me later).

Now, about the characters. All of them are so adorable. Even the slightly negative ones. And the way they acted, I don't think I will be able to think of them outside of these characters. Leonard, Penny, Sheldon, Howard, Bernadette, Raj, Amy, Stuart! I mean hats off to the writers for such characters.

Overall, a great show. It would surely lighten your mood if you feel a little grumpy. Highly recommended.

Good but could be better
3 April 2023
The cast were great. The writing was good until the middle of the third season. If they finished the series then, I would have rated it 9 (maybe even 10).

One of the best thing of the series is that it had a good mix up of humor with seriousness. The dialogues were pretty good.

But at one point, I think they tried to be politically correct and lose the main focus. Then they removed one of the main characters almost suddenly though they did manage a good story of that. Also usually the replacement character isn't good enough, but in this case it was pretty good.

Of all the characters, I think you would love almost all except maybe Maggie and Abby sometimes.

That '90s Show (2023– )

Terrible
1 March 2023
I finished watching the original series last month and then watched this show. It is nowhere near that show. The teenage characters are anything but funny.

They even managed to make Red less funny (he is my favorite character from the original show) but that can be tolerated as he is a grandfather now. Kitty was good.

Another problem was the length. When you have just ten episodes a season, you should have every episode around 50-60 minutes long. Instead they were barely 20 minutes long. So, we hardly got to know the characters.

Another problem was the old cast members. They didn't look natural except Aston Kutcher and Mila Kunis. I don't think it was necessary to make them look like their teenage selves. It seemed awkward.

Sad but touching story
29 October 2022
I didn't read any review before watching this movie (which is very unlikely for me). I started watching this movie only for the mystery genre and Mila Kunis.

I enjoyed the movie from the very beginning and thought it was going to be a typical mystery movie. But as time passed I was so moved by the story that I totally forgot it was a mystery film. The acting of Mila Kunis was so good that I felt like I was going through the same phases as her character.

I would have given it ten star if the male lead character was good enough. It may be either for the actor or for the writer. The male lead character was mediocre. Also, I think the ending could be better though it was not bad. Overall a very good movie.

Bad story
12 September 2022
They could make a great story from Iliad but they messed it all up. The cast was great. It was one of the first Hollywood movies I ever watched and I had no prior idea about the actors. After the movie, Eric Bana, Brad Pitt, Orlando Bloom, and Brian Cox became my favorite actors though I didn't know any of their names then. Everything was set for it to become a great movie but the story had so many loopholes that even a child couldn't be convinced. I don't understand what the writers of the movie did. The concepts were already developed in Iliad, all they need to do was to make it believable and they miserably failed in that. If not for the actors' performance, it would be a disaster. I think Hollywood should make another movie to do justice to Iliad.

Disgusting
31 August 2022
I have watched a lot of movies and the number may be more than 1500. But there are only a handful of movies that I couldn't finish watching and this is one of those.

When Mark Wahlberg and Kevin Hart, two of the best comedy actors of Hollywood, team up for a movie, you expect something funny. But this movie was anything but funny. Sometimes if writing is not up to the mark, acting can make the movie watchable. But in this movie, nothing was good. The movie was bad from the very beginning but hoped that once Mark and Kevin start the vacation together, the fun will begin. But that fun never happened. I didn't even laugh once. You may watch the movie if you have finished all the movies ever made and you have nothing else to do.

Just Bad

I will advice not to waste 1:30 hours of your time. It's a crap. I would have rated it 1 star but there were some laughing moments towards the end (mainly Michael Pena) so rated it 2 stars.

Story for kids but all others are not
7 August 2022
You might enjoy the show if you are into kid movies/series. But they didn't make it for kids. The story is like that of Draculla. Fully disappointed. Also, I think they copied many renowned actors looks. Like Dream is similar to Ezra Miller, Corinthian to Ryan Gosling, etc. Dream looked so similar to Ezra that I couldn't believe that the actor was actually someone else when I read in the Wikipedia.

Good thing that I didn't read anything about this series earlier and I was really amazed. Couldn't guess for a single episode what was going to happen next. No all honest hero, no all bad villain - awesome!

Nonsense writing
27 April 2022
The whole story doesn't make any sense. There are many loopholes. Even if you set aside all the scientific goofs it contained, there are still many points that don't add up.

I think this movie had the potential of creating a new sci-fi franchise with common people, not superheroes unlike MCU or DCEU. But a very bad story killed it all.

Detective Batman
25 April 2022
Before watching the movie, I read some reviews about it and all were negative. However, as it is the most anticipated movie of 2022, I gave it a shot at. And I found it quite interesting.

I am a fan of movies involving investigation. So, when I found that Batman in this movie was more detective than the Christian Bell or Ben Affleck version, I got quite interested and I loved it.

However, the problem with same character being portrayed by different actors persisted. I first watched. Batman by Bale, so comparison with him comes naturally and though Pattinson was good, he couldn't meet the standards set by Bale.

Also, the ending of the movie was quite dull. If it were good, I would have rated it higher though I didn't like Pattinson that much.

Disappointment compared to the first one
27 March 2022
After watching the first movie, I thought it will be also a great one considering the same director and writer. Also, there were a great cast including some of my favorite actors. But the story was, what to say, dull. It never seemed quite engaging. I would say that this movie has been a waste of such a talented cast. Yet, I am giving it 7 stars for its cast.

A masterpiece
30 November 2021
I haven't watched that many Hollywood movies (maybe around 50 and most of those are action / sci-fi movie), however, it's the best of all those. The movie has a great story which is an autobiography of the director herself. It explores the relationship between parents and children in the 70s and highlights the difficulty in maintaining even a small family in expensive cities. The movie made me very sad in fact.

The performance of the cast was too good. Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Saldana and the director's own daughter Imogene were outstanding. It's the first movie I saw where Ruffalo was the leading actor and he was damn good in his character. And Saldana was as always beautiful and mature. But above all, I think the newcomer Imogene was the best. She had great emotion and expressed that in such a way that it would obviously touch you.

Overall, a great movie and if you haven't watched it yet, I will definitely recommend you to watch it.

Too funny
25 November 2021
I have watched some Hollywood romantic comedy movies. And I have found this one as the most hilarious. Both of the lead actors are too funny. With that was the maturity of Rachel Mcadams.
