Aranyak (2021– )

Multiple Subplots, however mixed well.
22 December 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Crime thrillers have always been a different class and adding a suspicious element to it obviously glorifies the story and boost up the eager to watch it. Its dark, its challenging, it's a nice journey to be on but still not a whole newness.

Aranyak is 8 episodes series which is half ok and half exiting. Few episodes go like nothing happened but few goes like OMG! 4-5 subplots mixed together can make it little confusing but not that much that one can't figure out what is going on. It could have been simple as the ending came out of no where just out of the clue. Giving hints in-between of the climax is a good part of any series but ending came out of nowhere, just survived because it was into the context of what they have been looking for, from the first episode, finally found it in the last episode, and ended it very well with establishing the story for the next season as well.

Best of the Best Ashutosh Rana (playing Mahadev Dogra) is a joy to watch again and good to see Raveen Tondon (Playing Kasturi Dogra) in a desi avatar. And a very special mention to Parambrata Chattopadhyay (playing Angad Malik), you have come a long way man! Well done! Other then the cast, the location been awesome throughout the whole series and also the BGM was really supportive according to the genre. Overall a pretty good attempt by Director Vinay Waikul and team.

Make you emotional, cry, more cry and yet smile!
6 December 2021
The Sky is Pink - 2019

The Sky is Pink is the entry into the list of movies that are made to make you emotional, cry, more cry and yet smile. The rare piece of work is based on the true story, and on a serious note, it is very hard to stop yourself from crying.

In starting only, we know the whole story and the main stuff, but it is amazingly written and narrated that it makes it more interesting by the time it keeps going. The efforts made by the parents of born with disease child to save her and give her every possible happiness cannot be shown better then this, and what makes it more perfect is the narration by the dead child character describing the past events in so chilled style. This is one of the movies which went through a hell lot of serious story but with a chilled smiley narration. This is an amazing example of good writing. Parents played by Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra Jonas is again well created at different intervals of time at different places, also the best work is the narration by the character Aisha. Also, the music is one of the best of the year and added great value to the movie, specially the song - Dil hi to hai. And special mention to the location and makeup as well, good job.

All in all, The sky is pink is one of the rare movie that can make you cry and smile very easily. Hats off to the Director Sonali Bendre and the team. Also, the visuals just before the end credits must not be missed, showing the real photos and videos of those real life events and characters.

OTT made it possible

Warning: Spoilers
Graham - 2021

There have been so many unwanted incidents in India and the world and just imagine how many lives did those incidents affected negatively. Many people lost their lives and their loved ones. Grahan is also a story of a real-life incident that took place in 1984, doesn't talk about the core of riots, but the effect of the riots on and about the life of few people.

Grahan is made out of Satya Vyas' popular novel - Chaurasi, based on 1984 anti-Sikh riots in India, and mainly focuses on the dirty politics behind the riots and to punish the people behind the riots. In the parallel story, we see a love story from the last time and both present and past are connected so well which sets the example of good storytelling. Period dramas are never too easy to express and make and that too with such a controversial topic. Characters are well established, especially Manu (played by wamiqa Gabbi), seen as such avatar first time other than the Punjabi cinema. Pavan Malhotra is as good as always playing his key character and also a great job by Ayushman Pushkar and Zoya Hussain, both of them had their character throughout the show and did an excellent job. Talking about the music, it includes few songs as well according to the situations. Sets are very well made keeping the time period in mind and I still remember that one scene where "unity is our strength" is written on the board" and people fighting in the same frame, yes! In some places, it shows amazing camera work and makes the frame simple but attractive.

This has to be made very early, but "der aaye durust aaye".

Gullak (2019– )

connection to the viewers at its best
23 June 2021
Gullak - Season 1 & Season 2

Simplicity is the most attractive thing ever and it costs something. Not all middle-class Indian families have luxury dreams, but to take up that simplicity lever to the next round, and what it costs them is full of different "kisse", not "kahaniyaan".

The very relatable to the middle class of Indian families, Gullak brings back the memories to Corores of Indians and many more who are living the life as it is shown in the series. It is the perfect original work done by the makers getting the nerve of emotions right that too with the regional language and the accent outperformed by each and every character in Gullak. Such a hard work takes the emotions out of the viewer. While season 1 is not much into the technicalities but the emotions and storyline are the same, but the success of season 1 brings good Cinematography and Editing to the show and it obviously looks bigger than season 1. Gullak is a reliving for many viewers that will make you laugh, emotional, and if you somehow held your tears throughout the whole series, wait for the last scene of the last episode of season 2, come on, such a cute and crying laughing ride deserves much more appreciations. The concept itself, "Gullak" telling the different "kisse" in a middle-class struggling family is unique enough. Hats off to the makers.

Gullak connects from point one to the last point of the show very impressively and is for sure one of the best and simplest series ever made.

Sunflower (2021– )

One of the perfect combinations of Murder Mystery, light comedy and social satire ever created
14 June 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Sunflower - 2021

Murder mysteries are not new to the industry but, but, but, this is something very very different this time. The trailer itself was an indicator that it's gonna be a murder mystery, but there is much more as we go deep and deep into the episodes of Sunflower.

The innocence of Sunil Grover (playing Sonu) in a murder mystery makes it unique itself, and the graph keeps going up-down, up-down throughout the series questioning about, if the series is really talking about the murder or the different stories going parallel with it like there is a representation of the whole society vs. The sunflower society in which the only kind of ordinary people are allowed by the management of the Sunflower Society. Another parallel world is going on with the personal simple but questioning life of the main character Sonu, and it makes even cute simple jokes much much enjoyable and funny.

It is very well balanced, written, and created with twists and turns in the murder mystery, light comedy, and social satire by the name of "sunflower" society. Taking about the cinematography, it is also one of the best parts of series making it interesting and the filmmaking enthusiast thinks about that oh yes, this shot can be taken like this as well, very well cinematographed. The BGM also plays a big role, by the BGM only viewers get to know that some twist is coming ahead.

Sunflower is one of the perfect combinations of Murder Mystery, light comedy and social satire ever created.

Aashram (2020–2024)

One more brilliant topic by Prakash Jha
10 June 2021
Aashram - Season 1 - 2020

Director Prakash Jha has always been in the circle of creating the projects that deal with the common problem of society. This is such an inspiring filmmaking process by him, not to just make something for entertainment, but also an eyeopener for the society, and here comes a super-duper Aashram which is inspired by the real-life events and had a huge impact on the lives of many people.

There is some content, in which we already know the results, theme, and few events as it's based on the real events and is very hard to create without any proper research and writing. Aashram itself could have been a much more controversial project by Prakash Jha sir, but once you get into it, it's a proper entertaining roller coaster researched, written, directed, and performed by the whole team.

Almost everyone watching it know the exact storyline of the show, but not for a single episode it seems boring at all. Although there are some parts and performances that could have been better, but creating such a huge scale series is a task itself and in front of those efforts, few things a viewer will ignore if it doesn't demand much from the content. Like the songs used could have been better and thematical as compared. The set design and the locations are up to the mark by which a viewer can easily get into the zone of the show and makes it easy to understand the proper ongoing of the story.

Waiting for the next season of Aashram. The first season ends at a hype of a proper climax and all the viewers must have been waiting for the next season very eagerly.

The Family Man (2019– )

Bigger and Beter, waiting for the season 3 now.
5 June 2021
The Family Man - Season 2 - 2021

The first season of the family man was a success and the pressure of creating the second successful season must be a lot and Raj and DK did a brilliant job in creating a successful second season with more talent and an amazing storyline.

Ok, first thing first, nobody gives gaali better than Manoj Bajpayee! LOL. Such an intense series and the comic scenes are also one of the best, and obviously the brilliant comic timing of Shrikant Tiwari and JK. One of the thing that didn't make the trailer interesting is that season 2 looks like all different from season one is that there seems like no more inclusion of Pakistan but the Sri Lanka and Tamils this time, which is obviously less interesting as looks in the trailer may be because of language is not as easily understandable and everybody is not comfortable with the subtitles. But leaving everything behind, ye we can say it is bigger and better than the season 1 starting with few comic scenes going more and more intense, and this time unlike season 1, we get the conclusion in the end if TASC won or not, no spoilers about what was the mission but yes they did successfully completed the mission and end with a hint of season 3, made the hype much more than before. On the other hand, it included more of the shrikant's personal life in an all-new manner and it's a joy to watch this perfect series.

All the technicalities including the cinematography and editing are top-notch, those action scenes are brilliantly made and shot. The BGM had more vibe with the inclusion of the south Indian touch, the performance by all the actors were ek number under the creation of Raj and DK. This gives a boost the this director duo and viewers will for sure look toward their more releases in the coming time.

not bad! give it a try
3 June 2021
Sandeep aur Pinky Faraar - 2021

So, what the poster and trailer looked like? Ishaqzaade 2, right? LOL, the music of ishaqzaade was far better. It's kinda almost the same sort of entertainment. Expectations were low but, to be honest it's "not bad" for me.

Not too much, not too less, it's all ok ok in the movie in each and every aspect. This one-time entertainer will not make you bore at least but also not a second-time watch, maybe only a few scenes. The why? Factor till the first half of the movie came out good and conclusion did well, as well. Little Haryanvi try by Arjun Kapoor is also good but not the best for sure, it could have been better. But obviously Dir. Dibakar Banerjee will do justice, so, yes! He did, it's a well-written entertainer which he wrote with Varun Grover. Yet there have been many stories and shows like this before, there was not that much of a new sense, still a one and half time watch for sure.

Maharani (2021– )
8/10
One of the best periodic drama
3 June 2021
Maharani - 2021

From the very first teaser, Maharani didn't look like any promising series but, oh damn! Look at the final trailer made an all different approach with more details into the series and gave promising entertainment, and yes! It did fulfill its promise.

Taking back to the time of the 1980s and 90s, this period political drama starts with the bang and ends with it as well with many political twists and turns other than the one that we see in the trailer. The very first thing that keeps me engaged in the performance of each and every actor did justice with their characters, especially representing the political characters of Bihar which needs a different approach on the language and characteristics, this is a brilliant casting one must say. BGM and cinematography take us into the intense details of the show. Maharani is very well written including strong dialogues one after another. The creators and director must have struggled enough to get the perfection of the show and did a brilliant job with it.

It is one of the best periodic drama based on the kind of real events of India, which didn't make the viewer disappointed even for a single episode.

Most Underrated Love story ever made
27 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa - 1994

Seen this movie after watching an interview clip of Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, and Karan Johar, in which they said SRK's favorite performance is KHKN. Oh yes! I agree as well, it's one of the charming performances by SRK and one of the most underrated movies of him.

Director Kundan Shah perfectly delivered the story on screen and all the performances gave it a boost. This movie is kind of simple filmmaking at its best, either its direction or the performances. The most beautiful part of the movie is its Music by Jatin Lalit, great songs one after another from starting till the end hold the viewer and give more charm to the film. This love triangle story must have been felt by many of us in real life as well that connects the audience very well and other than that it gives few messages as well like a journey of life is the most beautiful thing we have, let's not waste it in worries, life is all about Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa.

Dramatically tells the harsh truth of society!
25 February 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Pyaasa - 1957

There are a few movies made on the harsh truth of society, and without any drama factor they lose the box office charm, that's not the case with Pyaasa. Pyaasa is the perfect combination of the harsh reality shown and the drama in society. Where a poor guy struggling his young age in the bitter truth of society where love and his "Shayari" is not only the factor he needs to survive in the world but a good-paying job, status, and money also. Where the first half of the film shows the struggle of Vijay (Guru Dutt), revolving around his needs and love, the second half shows the vicious truths of society very dramatically where the money is the only bigger truth, even more than the relationships. All the situations are beautifully narrated in the shayaris and songs, making it another level experience to watch. Next level! Pyaasa is one of its kind that comes rarely and is a masterpiece to watch or to adapt in any cinema. Brilliantly made!

Addictive AF, Hansal Mehta at his best in creating Harshad Mehta
12 October 2020
Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story - 2020

This thing is addictive AF since the release of its teaser and trailer and if we keep everything asides, the first addiction that comes is it intro BGM, Oh My God! It is seriously insane enough to get into anybody's mind. Okay! Let's talk about the content itself, it's not the first thing made on the life of Harshad Mehta, and as per the reports, a few more is on its way, but its gonna be a pretty sure thing that "Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story" is unbeatable. There are only a few films and series in which we experience perfection in each and every department, and it is master of all. Acting, Production design, writing, music, cinematography, editing, and above all the direction of Hansal Mehta, everything is top nodge. Lets first give a standing ovation to the performance of Prateek Gandhi who played Harshad Mehta and totally nailed it, whether it's his dialogue delivery, body language, or expressions, man! He seriously nailed it. Although its based on the book "the scam - who won, who lost, who got away" by Sucheta Dalal and Debashish Basu which we also see in the series but, other than adapting from the book, the screenplay is brilliantly written and executed into different episodes, an all episodes end with an old classical Bollywood song depicting the conclusion of that particular episode. Okay now, cinematography by Pratham Mehta is the heartbeat of the series, and one of the best in Indian Cinema. Hats off to all the departments, seriously for creating this immensely powerful and addictive series and special kudos to Director Hansal Mehta for doing his best work and his team.

Creating cuteness of comedy and love
12 October 2020
Chupke Chupke - 1975

Here is a cute comic romantic story by Hrishikesh Mukherjee to chill your mind and heart. In 1975 where it was the era of big action drama films, Chupke Chupk made a humble effect and soothes the mood. One of the most effective things in Hrishikesh Mukherjee's films are creating a simplicity level for the audience out of that confusing stories which is a perfect example of creative writing and paying attention to the audience. All characters are playing a cute side of them with acting another side as well which is very well executed and not just comedy but the romance is also up to the mark created with the sense of good music.

Warning: Spoilers
Serious Men - 2020

"Kids are like flowers, either they bloom or die. but you have to keep watering the seeds" Oh! that's kind of a spoiler in the very first line, well! it is what it is. A beautiful story is a message from starting till the end.

so its basically adapted from the book "Serious Men" by Manu Joseph. How a father decides to make his child a genius and take away where it all comes to the charm and glory but, can a child take that pressure? well, you will see how beautifully is that thing presented in the Serious Men by the amazing performance of Nawazuddin Siddiqui and the child artist Akshath Das in the lead roles with an amazing direction by Sudhir Mishra.not just the lead roles, but all the performances are up to the mark and we see a brilliant camera work with amazing camera placement and focus game at several places. Dialogues are pretty good and suit with the characters, but it may create a problem watching a content related to a kid with abusive language in it, although it brings a sense of comic touch in between.

Basically, there is already a lot of cinema that has been made on the topic that Serious Men mainly deals with, but it comes with a new touch and with a new environment taking caste, jealousy, and things like that along with it.

Benchmark forever.

The Matrix - 1999

This was a real change in filmmaking. Like watching it again in 2020, i.e. after 21 years and it still feels fresh. Iconic scenes are still having benchmarks setting up.

If we say it sci-fi at its best, it won't be wrong. The hype was real, it is still not easy to match the level of Matrix where we experience the connection of humans and science, that too with amazing action fight and chase scenes, not just normal scenes they were, multiple exposures, slow motion 3D moves, Oh My God, and it's understandable as well like what are the characters up to and what storyline they are entering into. The script was very well written and executed otherwise it could have been a mess. A special appreciation in managing the theme with those black color costumes and a scientific zone with unimaginable equipment and props doing unbelievable things in the two worlds created. No spoilers, but the action scenes in the climax where the protagonist goes to save someone from agents are really breathtaking. The technology used at its best.

A salute to Wachowski Brothers and the team for creating this masterpiece. It will be a great competition and motivation as well for many films coming in the future.

Veer-Zaara - 2004

Oh My God! Was that real? No! It's just a movie! But believe it or not, this is such a heavenly experience to watch Veer-Zaara and I can bet you want to experience this love journey again and again and again and again. Yash Chopra, all his work had been in the best categories but, Veer-Zaara is just another level. From the very start till the end, you don't wanna blink and miss any moment of this masterpiece. Veer-Zaara will own the heart of any individual who is or ever been in love, i.e. everyone, and that's the beauty of Yash Chopra's filmmaking, he knows how to connect with the audience make them love, laugh and cry. There is not a single thing in the movie which is not beautiful, story, screenplay, dialogues, music, performances, locations, whatever you see on screen is beautiful and at its best. Not many spoilers but yes it is a beautiful love story where they meet, get separated, meet again, get separated again, and then finally meets after 22 years out of unknown past situations of each other. There are special performances by Amitabh Bachchan and Hema Malini as well for, not for much of screen time, but yes, it had a great impact on the whole story, and the same goes for Anupam Kher as well. Pretty Zinta is as beautiful as the story is and did a perfect job in her character but Shah Rukh Khan, oh my god, this is some out of the world level of performance and the way he delivers the dialogues with is facial expressions and body language, that's not less than a godly thing. Yash Chopra and SRK are such a blessing to the Hindi Film Industry, and together they make perfect pair and let's not forget Rani Mukherjee doing a connecting role which is very important. And one more special thing that made it perfect is a never seen before collaborations in the music of the film, the music, and the songs are the soul of the movie that's gonna make you cry, cry, cry and happy smile in Love.

The visual poem of love and believe, This is an anytime-anywhere watch for the Love story musical drama lovers and obviously a perfect gift for SRK and Yash Chopra fans.

Warning: Spoilers
Se7en - 1995

No wonder why it's in the top list almost everywhere. One of the best murder mystery drama of all time even after not so many twists and turns, yes! It goes with a straight and predictable investigation, yet so impactful.

Here is the investigation drama looking for the murderer doing murders based on the seven deadly sins. Detective Somerset (Morgan Freeman) and Detective Mills (Brad Pitt) are on the mission to find the murderer who is doing murder based on the seven deadly sins. The plot development is intense and it visualizes some dark murder scenes with the clues that why he/she got murdered. It's all the visuals that made it great, those murder scenes and few chases are breathtaking. No wonder how the story turns after the murder walk to them himself and yes, after that we see the whole purpose and message of the story that humanity getting into the habit of living in the dark, ignoring the consequences of the sins that are part of society but, it's okay to be there just because it's not affecting directly to most of us. The murderer presents here the anxious society which is affected by those sins and in the end, even after in the police custody, he wins. Although it's written and executed very well, there is amazing work of light and camera from shooting dark intense scenes inside to the good chase scenes in the rain. It is a great work of art.

David Fincher executed the story and present it to the audience at its best. Although its not a happy ending story, but leaves the viewers thinking about it again and again.

Omkara (2006)

Vishal Bhardwaj at his Best
25 September 2020
Omkara - 2006

It needs a different level of guts to adapt and make a movie out of "Othello" by Shakespeare. And yes! Vishal Bhardwaj did it very responsibly, making Omkara one of its best adaptations. So, what makes it that great?

Shakespeare was popular because he wrote about humans and their common natures such as love, humanity, jealousy, revenge, and that's what we see in Omkara, beautifully written and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. All the performances are up to the mark whether its the main man Omkara(Ajay Devgun) doing a great job as always, Dolly(Kareena Kapoor) doing not so ordinary but great, Vivek Oberoi, Konkana Sen, Naseeruddin Shah, and the new guy Deepak Dobriyal, fits best in their character and did a decent job. But the show-stealer is Langda Tyagi( Saif Ali Khan), in his never seen before avatar and brilliantly playing the role of the antagonist with that tone and body language, it was really wow! That all was supported by the theme created by the team in a small village type place with the dialogues one after another with that hardcore tone in the language followed by the music by Vishal Bhardwaj as well. The colors of the movie are warm at most of the places and some backlit shots did the wonders on the screen, that was a piece of good editing, and here is the great work by DOP with some long shots and the unforgettable last shots of the film where Omkara shoots himself and then we see both Omkara and Dolly dead, that was the just an example of brilliant cinematography.

Kudos to the whole team of Omkara for creating such a masterpiece with almost perfect work in all the departments. Yes!

And with that, he loses his mother as she gets to know that Raju works as a joker in the circus, and the particular scene is picturized very beautifully as Raju Goes back to the show and completes his act, where he screams "Maa" and squirts through prop eyeglasses and audience laughs and then the Russian artist leaves as well, and with that ends the second chapter. The third chapter starts with all new beginnings where Raju finds master Meenu/Meena co-incidentally and they both start doing their street drama together, and it is the chapter with more turns and breaks which leaves Raju all alone and Meena becomes a big actress. In all three chapters, Raj Kapoor used the way to show love is when Raju gives the Joker doll as a present to all three of his love in different chapters and loses the love and get that doll back. Within almost four hours we go through the lifetime journey of Raju the Joker through the beautiful songs as well depicting the situations and just before the very end we experience what all that invitations were about that we see in starting.

Maybe it did not have commercial success at that time, but it a classical work of filmmaking and music. It is the perfect art by actor, director, producer Raj Kapoor.

Dev. D - 2009

Here comes the new age version of the so-called famous character, Devdas, everybody knows him right? But wait, Basically, Dev.D is the modern era Devdas with not the almost same story of 2 girls, family, and alcoholism, but love.

Dev (Abhay Deol) loses his childhood love Paro (Mahi Gill) somehow and goes to another city just to forget all those things and finds another girl Chanda (Kalki Koechlin), who is also struggling with her prostitution. Although it is not a remake of Devdas, only the base is taken from there, it has its own twists, taste, and colors. It feels a different kind of cinema with lots of art put into it if the viewer can see and feel that drugs and alcohol through the way it's shown on the screen with an amazing camera and editing work. If you are a big fan of stories, it is not the perfect story, sorry! But, it is almost perfect visuals with those lightings and colors used in it. And along with Abhay Deol, both new actresses did a good job as well. The most amazing thing was moving motion lapse in drinking and drugs feel, made it like real.

A must watch for all the cinema lovers, buts it's a no for those who want it to compare to Devdas like story and emotions.

Camera work is also good as we see a variety of shots keep coming one after another describing the pace of the story followed by good editing.

Ram Singh Charlie is the same old concept but is a great piece of work with the addition of more emotions and efforts into it. Kudos to the team.

The Gone Game (2020–2022)
7/10
A great effort in lockdown
15 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
The gone game - 2020

What lockdown? Here comes a great content based and shot in lockdown due to coronavirus only. A complete imagination and dedication to grab the chance to make it first even after the complications of the lockdown, let's welcome the coronavirus lockdown story in the same situations.

A person goes missing in the name of death by the coronavirus and turned out to be a mysterious crime with a friend or maybe not because we will see the exact in the next season. Concept and story, both go well with twists and turns one after another and that too with the comfort of watching a lockdown story where characters are talking to each other on video calls and still manage to get the attention of viewers. Starting with the coronavirus death of a person, it takes the quick and catchy turns which will make viewers think and go wow; this is not just a simple story. One more point of appreciation is that it could have been much complicated to understand, but the way the screenplay is written, makes it simple and easy to understand even after those twists. But at a few points we experience background music louder than the dialogues, it's intense but come-on, let us listen to the dialogues at least. Still, it's a connecting story.

A great trial and a piece of work by the team of The Gone Game and the efforts made to make it happen in the lockdown is appreciable.

Cargo (I) (2019)
6/10
very well tried

Warning: Spoilers
Cargo - 2020

Let them see a new genre in the sci-fi itself with a whole new concept and a totally different imagination keeping it simple and sober. It's not always about a very high budget if it comes to sci-fi. Cargo is almost a perfect example of simple imagination given a structure of low budget sci-fi fantasy.

Cargo is nothing but the dead persons coming to the space ships of PDTS- Post Death Transition Services, started after the treaty of devils and humans on earth. And the story mainly goes around the two characters working on the spaceship, Prahastha(Vikrant Massey) who is already working in a space ship for almost 75 years, and Yuvishka(Shweta Tripathi) who comes as new intern to join him. And every working person has a unique power like Yuvishka has power to heal, with which she heals the coming cargoes and at a point, she struggles with her power as well, Prahastha struggles with the confusions inside to stay or not, and many more backstories goes on with the process of recreating lives. We can see the low budget production, but still, it's very well maintained with the simplicity with a sober spaceship set and good background music to describe it. Every person coming to the spaceship dies on the earth and the way its shown is simply amazing like they die, and the next moment they are on the spaceship to be recreated. The concept is simply amazing. Although there are some flaws, it's worth try.

A very well tried sci-fi with a different concept is a must watch and creates a more emotional human impact rather than going totally into sci-fi.

More than just a good try
6 September 2020
Warning: Spoilers
JL 50 - 2020

A good Indian Sci-Fi is a dream to watch for many, and is not an easy task as a lot of Sci-Fi cinema is present around the world. JL 50 is a good try by the team but did it do all perfect?

A plane crashes after 35 years of its take-off, okay seem like an investigation drama but wait, it's not just that, it all connects o time travel. Time travel topics are very interesting to watch and go on another level where it includes an investigation as well and JL 50 includes some amazing performances by Pankaj Kapur, Piyush Mishra, Abhay Deol, Rajesh Sharma adding fully fledged performances to this out of the normal league content. The small journey of investigating the case and finding it to be a time travel case is a delight to watch, how it happened, and the facts behind that. It was all going better till now, then the story comes to the real-time travel event where it starts losing its perfection and seems illogical and very fast at some point. Viewers may start getting bore as it moves toward the end. The time travel event should have been made something other than an ordinary thing. It starts with a good note, goes up, and suddenly comes down after a point towards ending. The same goes for camera and editing, it feels like somewhere it's very good, but somewhere it's just normal. But for sure it is a very well tried project with good performances.

Kudos to the team of JL 50 for giving this all different experiences to the audience and it brings more hope to the viewers to get more content like this in the future. Very well-tried.

Forrest Gump (1994)

The true inspiration and a way of living
25 August 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Forrest Gump - 1994

Inspiration at its best. Based on the real-life story novel by Winston Groom, let's get to the ride, where we experience simply living life to the fullest without even trying to attain any perfection brings the perfect human within. Here we go on a lifetime journey of Forest Gump.

Tom Hanks playing Forest Gump takes us to the lovely and simple, but not so simple at all journey of his life with his innocent comedy, or should I say lives, as we see this man doing a whole lot of different jobs and tasks in his journey that too without any intention to achieve anything to fulfill his needs, but only just keep doing things with the flow that keeps him going on and motivated. Such an inspirational adaptation by writer Eric Roth, the screenplay is very well going from start to end with all the events happening and the narration going side by side. That too not just a normal narration, we see it Forest Gump sitting on a bus stop and telling his story to different people coming there, that's some real creative thing we see in this movie. Director Robert Zemeckis is truly entitled to get appreciation in creating this masterpiece, where the main character is only interested in living life for others and inspiring them as well at different stages of life without losing his love in spite of the change in time or person. the true way of living a satisfying life, goes far beyond of needs and intentions to achieve more and more. Words will be less here to praise this masterpiece, it's life within.

A true gem in the cinema world and pure inspiration. It will go above and beyond whenever it comes to the best movies ever made. Cheers!
