Sunflower - 2021

Murder mysteries are not new to the industry but, but, but, this is something very very different this time. The trailer itself was an indicator that it's gonna be a murder mystery, but there is much more as we go deep and deep into the episodes of Sunflower.

The innocence of Sunil Grover (playing Sonu) in a murder mystery makes it unique itself, and the graph keeps going up-down, up-down throughout the series questioning about, if the series is really talking about the murder or the different stories going parallel with it like there is a representation of the whole society vs. The sunflower society in which the only kind of ordinary people are allowed by the management of the Sunflower Society. Another parallel world is going on with the personal simple but questioning life of the main character Sonu, and it makes even cute simple jokes much much enjoyable and funny.

It is very well balanced, written, and created with twists and turns in the murder mystery, light comedy, and social satire by the name of "sunflower" society. Taking about the cinematography, it is also one of the best parts of series making it interesting and the filmmaking enthusiast thinks about that oh yes, this shot can be taken like this as well, very well cinematographed. The BGM also plays a big role, by the BGM only viewers get to know that some twist is coming ahead.

Sunflower is one of the perfect combinations of Murder Mystery, light comedy and social satire ever created.
