If I was to die the slowest possible death, it would be to combine a fire that would burn me to death, that would take the entire length of this movie, while having to watch it simultaneously.
A fate I could not wish on my worst enemy, because that would be the epitome of hell. Thankfully no one talked during this movie, because as painfully slow as this movie drew out, I can only imagine how terrible the dialogue would have been if it was added in as well.

So let me get this right.....
Hes in a post apop world, with brand new clothes, shoes, gear and a weapon. They literally look like they are fresh off the shelf.
The people hanging at the beginning of the movie are also in brand spanking new clothes too???
Thats about as far as i made it in this flick.

Here are a few helpful tips for surviving the apocalypse from the movie Survive
-Carry bright blue backpack in order to be seen from space. (..might want to drag it through the mud a little bit..)
-Enter dark building and turn on generator and all lights before looking for snacks.
-Make signal fire when trying to elude bad guys.
-Drink moonshine from the guy who just raided your camp.
-Carry pistol that only fires blanks.
-Throw boots as a diversion for enemy gun fire. (..as opposed to anything else in the bright blue backpack..)
-Travel everywhere on roads when you are surrounded by thick forest.
-Send mass radio broadcast because you and your family are the "only ones" who know about Fort Franklin.
Not sure of the significance of repeatedly seeing the northern lights...in North Carolina..in the springtime?

I've said it before, I'll say it again. I don't mind ultra low budget indie/student movies, but just being able to get something funded is not enough. Somebody should have told the filmmaker that the movie was inept.
Budding filmmakers, please...start with a good script!

Not a single word spoken by the actor. Of course, that was probably a good thing considering the story was horrible. At the end of the movie, thank goodness it ended, I thought it would have been better if the screen would have just been black for the entire time too. Then I could have slept and got something out of my time. There was nothing realistic or similar to what a real person would do in a situation. Oh, by the way, there are several other people without lines either, just a bunch of close-up shots of faces to give you that "look" of emotion.
I suggest you watch it for 10 minutes, then you will understand how the entire movie is and you will go watch paint dry before you watch this.

A guy buys a video camera at a yard sale and convinces his wife to film him wandering around in the woods while he plays army. She keeps yelling at him to act, so all the dialog has to be overdubbed with music. That night they learn a movie is supposed to have a plot. In a flash of brilliance after their second bottle of wine they splice in a few photos of a kid and release their masterpiece on Amazon.
It's dreadfully dull and inexcusably poorly costumed. A man ostensibly surviving in the wilds is freshly shaven, beard trimmed, hair combed, clean, wearing new clothes and boots. The only concession to roughing it is a little mud at the knees. There is no action, no plot, no story, no character development. The only thing we know about the guy is he's extremely violent and not very capable in the wilds.
Two stars for keeping it short. Though at 71 minutes I'd argue it could still be cut by 40. The description says the guy is reuniting with his daughter. Whoever wrote that must have gotten it from the director, because the film never explains how they got separated, how he knew where she was, where he was coming from, or why everyone was trying to stop him. Didn't manage to make it to the end. It is a film, about a man, running through the woods looking for his daughter but you don't know what happened to her or where or when she went as it doesn't tell you that. He kills people. Don't know why or who they are. Then he goes further through the woods and kills more people but you don't know who they are or why he killed them either. Does he find his daughter? No idea. I got bored and went to watch some paint dry. Not sure if everyone in the film is incapable of speech but don't recall any conversation. It just droned on and on, bit like this review but I had to write so many words for it to be accepted. Avoid.
No dialogue is appropriate.....

.... and quite realistic in an apocalypse where the protagonist is alone for almost the entire film. His silence is more appropriate than talking to himself or speaking his thoughts out loud. Kudos to the lead actor for conveying his feelings and thoughts without speaking. The only voices we hear are some prerecorded PSA's (Public Service Announcements) early in the movie to provide some vague background, and his daughter's voice in his memory. Any dialogue by his wife, the men who attack him, or the woman who screeches as she tries to stab him would be distractions which would lessen the impact of the chosen format.

I liked this simple, low budget movie much better than some of the Hollywood "blockbusters" I have seen recently. It is subtle and well done with not attempt at gratuitous violence it what is a violent time, it suggests any such actions rather than shows them in a delicate yet believable way. Worth a watch although the ending is too drawn out.

I'm confused as to why nobody speaks but okay. The ending was very disappointing as well. Honestly thought this movie was gonna speed up, but it was slow, silent and had no direction. Hopefully you survive to the end of the movie.

Haven't seen a movie in a while where nobody speaks. This was a decent watch. Yes it's low budget but you can't say there's any bad acting and not all of it makes sense but you got to think that post-apocalyptic in real life... what would make any sense?

Like everyone I was in the mood for an apocalyptic type movie and stumbled onto this one on Prime. First thing I noticed was the rating and how short it was, not good signs.
My main gripe was the budget. They had to skip over some of the fight scenes because they didn't have the time or money to choreograph them. I've never seen that in a film before.
The CGI was horrific. There was this one scene where there was this armored personnel carrier type vehicle in the road. It was comical. Then the other things like smoke in the distance and the space scenes. Could I have done better? No, but come on.
It had a pretty cool plot I guess. I think if they had more money they could've done more with it.
Oh my biggest gripe was when the guy uses his SHOES to lure out the shooter then proceeds to run through the woods with no shoes on. Why not use anything BUT your shoes?!? Who wrote that?

First, I will admit... I didn't have high expectations of this movie. From the first minute, it screams "I'm a low budget movie made by someone who thought about being a movie producer in high school, but went on to work in a button factory instead "
After enduring this dreadfully drawn out waste of 73 minutes of my life I will never get back, the absolute BEST thing I got out of this movie was the deep belly laughs I got from these EXCELLENT reviews here!
I can't believe that whatever tiny portion of my Amazon Prime membership that was used to pay (Hopefully not more than 32 cents) for the privilege of showing this "work of art" was wasted. Surely the 5th grade film club at the elementary school can produce something better.
Hope you enjoyed my rant, the most joy that I got from this movie.

Honest to god, who pays to produce garbage like this? Short version: don't waste your time, like I did.
There's no credible continuity, and at no point does this 'movie' provide you with anything that really tells you what happened or what's happening. Even compared to the rest of the movie, the ending is incredibly weak. If I'd had any involvement in this production, I'd have been petitioning to have my name removed.
It's getting to the point where you have to do deep-dive reviews to try to figure out if something's worth watching. I just wasted the better part of two hours waiting for this to make any kind of sense.

That was painful! I don't like to be overly critical of other people's efforts, but this was pretty much off the rails from the beginning. I can't say I minded the lack of dialogue, it probably kept me from laughing and missing something else farcical. In the time it took to watch this, I could have done one or more of the following: caught and flossed a feral cat, learned new inappropriate phrases in multiple foreign languages, jammed toothpicks under all my fingernails and toenails, or found a freshly loaded dumpster behind a Mexican food restaurant to nap in. Any of the above would have been a.more productive use of my time. That was 71 minutes of my life I'll never get back.

I'm thankful for all the other reviews here. I have watched this movie for 16 minutes but it just didn't get anywhere really, even though post apocalyptic is always cool.
The no dialogue was interesting, but you've got to better explain or hold attention which this film didn't do - it was good to look at but that's about it. Also the sound effects were too loud *CRUNCH*
I've got limited time on this earth, I'll never read all the great books or watch all the great films in my lifetime. Therefore I'm watching something else.

Wasn't expecting much, especially with how poorly it's been rated, but it was a decent movie. Quality acting and doesn't have the standard cheese factor to it. Very much seems like an indie film, and a pretty good one for being low budget.

I'm constantly disappointed by people who watch a movie like this one and try to hold it up to standards it was never intended to meet, then leaving scathing reviews. This is a simple story told in an interesting, quiet way, about a man struggling through hardship to try and reunite with his family. It's not an action film or a gee-whiz sci-fi loaded down with CGI and made ridiculous with inane, cutesy dialogue. In fact, it accomplishes its purpose with almost no dialogue at all. Call it an art film, an indy film, call it what you will. I just decided when I sat down to watch it that I was going to allow myself to take this movie in without becoming all "Mr. Film Critic." I came to the conclusion it does a good job of being what it is, and I'm rating it on that basis...not by comparing it against billion dollar blockbusters.
