Couldn't Really Care About the Characters Here
larrys312 September 2019
You're asking a lot of your audience to have any empathy for or connect with characters that are terribly deceitful. Such is the case here with 2 of the 3 main characters, Lauren (Sarah Kolasky) and David (Richard Clarkin).

Lauren is seemingly in a rather amiable 5 year relationship with Tom (Daniel Bierne). You can see a few bumps in the road there, such as Lauren's frustration with Tom being unable to find employment as a urban planner, and some differences in their sexual appetites

However, when David is appointed as Lauren's new boss, it will rekindle a brief but passionate affair they had years ago. David is an egotistical and manipulative jerk, but that doesn't stop Lauren from encouraging their new steamy affair, with nary a thought about the consequences. Of course, they'll be a price to pay for all concerned.

Look for a number of erotic and explicit scenes, as well as nudity and coarse language. To note also, English subtitles are quite small.

Overall, the acting is strong enough to make the characters believable here but, as mentioned, I couldn't really care about them and that doesn't make for a very enjoyable viewing.

Great Great Great is Not Not Not

Long boring scenes with no dialogue. When there is, it's poorly written and executed. Character development is non-existent. And where do they find these cheesy actors? Just another example of bad Canadian film trying desperately to be something real and comes off being desperately phoney. I don't know what movie the other reviewers were watching but it can't be this one. Don't waste your time.

hormonal frustrations
ops-525359 March 2019
This is 100% drama, in canadian dallars. its about a couple that have a relationship that are merely based on love and just that. the big difference in maturity and sexuality makes great problems, when an ex turns up, and makes the heat groin' up and the hormonal roller coasterstarts riding in the females life, well it makes great damages to the relationship with her ''husband'' to come. so when the bun is in the oven the real turndown starts.

its an very easy piece of moviemaking, that may hit you emotionally so beware it might offend or make influence on you. infidelity and jealousy are difficult tasks and i think this flick gives you the real feel of getting drained down the gutter whatever side you pick to support. the acting are very relaxed, high on emotions and truthful, and the script are well developed.

so if you want to detect some warning signs in your own relationship then the grumpy old man recommends great x3 with a 7
