Blasphemy From the Kingdom of Dingo Pictures
jeremycrimsonfox14 December 2021
Yeah, this movie is bad. While it was neat that they added in a live action actor to play the narrator, Dingo Pictures sadly decided not to do an extra version for the English dub, resulting in the actor's lip movements being way off from the dialogue. Also, the animation is typical from the company: low budget, bad lip-syncing, horrible voice acting, and the fact that Arthur in this version a brat and more obnoxious than even Link from the Zelda cartoon made by DiC.

Camelot has never been more atrociously depicted
TheLittleSongbird13 August 2016
It is easy to see why the animations of Dingo Pictures are relatively obscure, though those who have had the misfortune of seeing any of their output (which along with their equally low-budget computer animated counterpart Video Brinquedo have not once made anything worthwhile) but cannot forget their awfulness.

As was said before, it is hard to know where to start when there are no redeeming qualities whatsoever, say what you will about 'Quest for Camelot' but even with its glaring problems it actually has things that salvage it to something watchable.

The animation is, as ever with Dingo Pictures, some of the worst there is, even for low-budget animation, the flat colours, very simplistic backgrounds and lack of detail and derivative, shoddy, recycled (some lifted directly out of previous Dingo Pictures efforts) and creepy character animation as well as a style that makes art of primary school children who draw and paint in half an hour or less seem more accomplished.

Music always sounds misplaced and never fitting with what's going on, not to mention that it has little breathing space even in scenes that are in dire need for it. The script is incredibly repetitive and juvenile, that it will insult any adult is bad enough but even young children will feel dumber after hearing some of the dialogue here.

Even for something that is not that long at all in length, 'Sword of Camelot' feels stretched. It also has incredibly plodding pacing, is very disjointed, goes nowhere a lot of the time and is so jumpy it's almost incomprehensible.

Characters are excruciatingly irritating and a few irrelevant to the story, such as a very poorly drawn dinosaur. Not a likable or interesting character among them (with bland heroes and a main villain that's both forgettable and over the top).

Meanwhile, the sound effects are bizarre and randomly placed and the voice acting is amateurish to the point of not even trying even by low-budget animation standards, often being annoying, poorly recorded, creepy-sounding and incomprehensible and even ill-fitting.

In summary, really awful and by far the worst version of the Arthurian/Camelot story. 1/10 Bethany Cox

That Guy's Lace Front Tho!
Svend_Sorenson25 October 2020
To be clear, I haven't seen this movie, nor do I want to. I'd just like to point out that, being a longtime fan of Dingo's masterpieces, I know exactly what they're all about. All I needed to see was a single thumbnail to make a single judgement. I've seen just about every lazy, copied & recycled awful character model that they have, so seeing a live action actor was a bit of a rare treat. Given that info, I can safely say that the guy's white wig is probably the best thing Dingo has ever put into one of their films. However, I'm pretty sure they stole the d-mn thing, because they steal everything. If you have the balls to steal other ppl's cartoons & call them your own, then you definitely have the balls to steal a freaking wig. It's not rocket science. Peace, yo, XSvendSorenson Ps stealing is bad. Don't be like Dingo. Don't steal, kids! Copyright is very real, & they will have your a$$ if you do. Usually. Unless you're Dingo. Then you'll somehow magically get away with it. That's how Dingo magic works. It's the opposite of Disney Magic, & also it's a lot less magical.
