Frankly, I'm Speechless.

I am a rather stoic, and pragmatically (some say robotic) gay man.

That said, I don't often pursue entertainment in the LGBT+ genre, nor do I overly care to discuss or emote about the rather astounding difficulties that come with growing up gay, especially for a boy. This is the cold and logical side of me.

The other, far more neglected emotionally-attuned side, cried his eyes out watching this.

I cannot overstate how familiar yet uncomfortable I felt while watching everything transpire between these two vulnerable and wonderful characters. I wanted to shout advice, and scream criticisms over things I have seen others, and myself, make mistakes with before.

Somehow, the creator managed to encapsulate a small but absolutely authentic microcosm of growing up gay, and for that I will always be eternally grateful.

To creator Alex Myung, I just want to say thank you. Period, full stop.

Thank you.

One of films who, after its final credits, remains, for long time, fresh across memories. for its admirable simplicity, for lovely animation, for delicate colors and powerfull emotions. a mother and her son. and the new life , a new relations and photography. and the return. all seductive for a form of special grace of each detail. and this does it a pure gem. because it reminds one of magnificent links and the painfull choice. and the inspired end remains the mark of a real remarkable director. so, I do not love this film. only I adore it.
