Sash! feat. Boy George - Run
aforashtonwilliams28 March 2020
Warning: Spoilers
So I thought this was going to be a low-budget, indie b-horror movie/creature feature... turned out to be a damned fitness movie with them dam kids running all over the damned place... I got tired just watching them run. The movie starts off with them running, then some adults are running, then there's some talking, blah blah blah, more running... and that's just the first 10 minutes. Then there's some foreshadowing with growls and snarls and a teenage couple breaking one of the cardinal rules of horror... no sex... well, they don't actually have sex, but they get nom nom'd, just saying. Then there's some driving and talking, some more talking, and then more running.... more... running. Felt like I was watching a damned decathlon by the end of this movie... they run together, they run separately, they get together in a big big group and run some more. If you're looking for a horror movie, I recommend you buy American, or even Asian... if you looking to feel exhausted from exercise WITHOUT actually do anything, well then, run Forrest, run!

So Bad
marcawarren29 September 2022
Warning: Spoilers
This is my first time writing a review. What a terrible movie. First the acting was so bad I think they just took random people and told them to read the cards while on set. The kids where actually the only ones that seemed they had done acting skills. The basis of the movie was these whatever they where came from fracking . Great I remember cheesy 70s and 80s movies with that theme with animals attacking people because of then it was called global warming and most I enjoyed . This movie had us all over the place with a tracker that was so bad probably couldn't track her own dog in her back yard. The creature where never seen till the end and boy was it bad. The ending was insanely dumb. I gave it a three because it's not the worst I have watched but close.

Unremarkble at Best

Warning: Spoilers
This was for the most part a first time actor's movie. On low budget stuff like this, one never gets a clear shot of the monster and the acting is obviously scripted and sounds almost mechanical. What did bothered a little was Tanya, the little girl. First she was arguably one of the cutest children I have ever seen. That said, her lines were those of young adult and not a little kid. I tried to look beyond what she said and ignore the inflated maturity of her choice of words and large vocabulary. But alas, it didn't work. Little kids who talk like grown ups make me nervous.

Indie doesn't really know what it wants to be
Leofwine_draca17 March 2017
Warning: Spoilers
I watched the Canadian indie PRAIRIE DOG under the title FANG. The new title and box art paint it as a werewolf horror movie about the hunt for a bloodthirsty creature that has been roaming the countryside, but on watching it soon becomes apparent that this film is far too tame and family-orientated to convince as a horror flick. It's not really a fantasy film either, and even 'adventure' is pushing it a bit.

This is a sunny, outdoors-type film in which the slim narrative is dragged out endlessly. It seems to be a family drama more than anything else, with a lot of time taken up by characters wandering from one place to another just to fill out the running time. The little-seen CGI creature is wisely kept off screen for 99% of the film's length and the acting is generally lacklustre, making the whole thing a rather non-suspenseful exercise.

OMG!
smedleybill6 September 2019
Slow, ponderous, tedious and wooden acting sums up my immediate thoughts after viewing this garbage. The daughter and the environmental consultant provided the best acing by far. There is nothing about this turgid mess I can recommend. Don't waste your time.

WTF?
tmccull5214 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is literally one of the stupidest movies that I have ever had the misfortune of Watchung. It made me want to find anyone who had anything whatsoever to do with it, and beat the living s**t out of them.

The plot makes no sense whatsoever. The sheriff is an imbecile that lets his children run around in the wilderness, with no supervision whatsoever. We have an expert wilderness tracker who couldn't follow a fart back to her own butt. The entire movie consists of watching a pack of idiots running this way and that through the wilderness. The monsters are beyond horrible. We have salamanders with fangs that eat people. We have some sort of giant were-rodent who bites people and turns them into savages, and the ending of the movie makes absolutely no sense whatsoever... absolutely none.

Someone please tell me that this isn't Canadian horror at it's best.

Creatures disturbed by man
fromdecatur-1012612 June 2019
Warning: Spoilers
This is currently on Amazon Prime as "Fang" with a release date of 2016. It's one of those movies where man is disturbing nature and displaces some dangerous animals/creatures and a small town sheriff and educated specialist deal with the issue. It's nicely done-I enjoyed the Canadian setting and accents. There is some wit in the script and lovely scenery. The movie leaves one with a sense of mystery--there are at least three varieties of creatures, one almost human. There is more to the kids and their backstory, I have a feeling. All in all, if you enjoy these kinds of movies I think you'll enjoy this one as well.

Don't waste your time
hikeraz-2031021 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was rebilled as "Fang" when I watched it. It gave the appearance of a werewolf movie, which is obviously wasn't considering the original title.

The acting was very sub par. The timing of the lines was off somehow. Almost like they were edited together rather than acted together. There were even a few times you could see some of the actors appear to read their lines from cue cards off the line of sight.

The storyline was actually more family oriented than horror. The "monster" didn't make any sense at all. And I still cannot figure out where the two "human" protagonists came from in the story. Or why they were even part of it.

Slow and dull
crftnbn-957-39653917 September 2020
The movie was flow from the very beginning. I thought it would pick up but no go. If you want to watch something scary this movie is not for you but if you want some noise in the background while you do something else, this is a movie for you.
