Warning: Spoilers
Bradley and Dean out for the Blues. Daffy kicks the opener for Richmond, but a poor kickout by Michael Gale gifts Kernahan a goal and Rice goals from outside 50 as well. Kernahan slots his third in the term and Carlton out to a sizeable lead early. Kernahan slots another after the quarter-time siren, the Blues up 36. Carlton's defense spoiling all Richmond's forward 50 marking opportunities. Kernahan takes a good contested grab and slots another, while Richardson has his accuracy woes up the other end. The Blues with a commanding 56-point lead heading into halftime, Free's been good for the Tigers though. Richmond dominate field position in the 3rd and Brendon Gale kicks back to back goals, one from 60. Madden stems the tide for the Blues though, with a goal from 50 and Bond follows it from 55 and Carlton sitting comfortably once again, up 34 at 3-quarter time. Kernahan kicking beautifully on the night, slots his sixth, Carlton home by 28 points. The Blues won the hit-outs, had more of the footy and applied more tackles, with 9 more scoring shots. Kernahan best afield, with 6 marks and 6 goals. Silvagni good on Richardson, with 6 marks. Madden 14 hit-outs, 4 marks and 2 goals. Sexton 17 disposals and 5 marks. Williams 31 disposals. For Richmond, Free 23 kicks of 27 disposals, 4 tackles and a goal. Knights 24 disposals, 4 tackles and 2 goals. Dear 20 disposals, 10 hit-outs and 6 marks.

3. (Carl) S. Kernahan, 2. (Carl) S. Silvagni, 1. (Carl) J. Madden.
