First time ever writing a review, mostly because after I watched this episode I came to the IMDb page and saw two reviews both worth less than the crap on the bottom of my shoes.
Holy Smokes! I don't have to mention any of the plot lines, either your unfamiliar with the show and they are spoilers, or you have already seen the episode and who needs a recap? Let me just say that as much as I have loved the show, I have the feeling that the main protagonists have been *relatively* exempt from the fall out stemming from their illegal activities. Sure, plenty of ancillary characters die from time to time, and Season 2 Episode 1 was a horrible thing for Gemma, but watching this episode ripped my guts out. Season 5 episode 2 had a really brutal scene where I felt for one of the sons, but I repeat, this episode was a horror to watch.
That said, I gave it a 10/10, because as deserving as this series is, this episode was one of most emotionally gut wrenching of all episodes of all time. Not quite the horror the Red Wedding episode was in Game of Thrones, but I tip my hat to the writers, actors, and directors involved with this show that have made it so special that I am emotionally vested in their fictional characters.
If you watch this episode, you will be shocked and hurt and dazed, but grateful that this show could take you on such a visceral ride.
