Sex & Nudity
-
- Absolutely no sex or nudity, even though it is clear in this version that Clara and Drosselmeyer's nephew Hans-Peter do fall in love.
- The Act II Pas de Deux is danced by the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier. It is highly classical and not suggestive at all.
- Clara and Hans-Peter's Pas de Deux in the first act is highly romantic, but not suggestively sensual.
Violence & Gore
-
- A very mild battle with the mice.
Profanity
-
- None.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- None.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- The dancing dolls seem to enjoy teasing Clara and scaring her a little when the toys come to life at midnight, but there is nothing truly frightening here.
Spoilers
Sex & Nudity
- Because the fantasy events are not a dream and actually do take place in this version (Clara believes she was dreaming until almost the very end) the last few minutes strongly imply that Clara and Hans-Peter will eventually end up together in the real world.
