- A revival of Peter Wright's production of "The Nutcracker".
- This production of the Peter Wright Royal Ballet production of "The Nutcracker" is very much like the 2001 revival with Alina Cojocaru, except that the camerawork is better, and the music tempos are more traditional and much faster than the lethargic tempos used in the 2001 production. In most details, the staging is exactly the same as in the 2001 revival. The traditional plot line of the ballet is followed, but Clara and Hans-Peter take a very active part in the Act II dances. However, as Tchaikovsky and Petipa intended, it is the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Prince who dance the Act II Pas de Deux. There are no hidden meanings or kinky subtexts in this version, and no shocking endings as in the 2008 Mikhail Chemiakin production. But the end does reveal that the events that Clara thought were a dream actually did happen, and that she will be reunited with her new sweetheart, Hans-Peter. As in the 1985 and 2001 telecasts of this production, Hans-Peter is Drosselmeyer's nephew.
