Funeh!
M0n0_bogdan11 October 2022
Romanian films are rare. Romanian comedies are even rarer. Good ones are one in 10 years. This might just be one of the latter but I don't feel good saying it because it doesn't say a lot in the grand scheme of things.

A lot of the jokes are real stupid and filthy, which I liked, but also a lot of them I've seen or heard in other American films. Not surprising...Matei Dima and Micutzu grew up with that kind of movies but then again I really liked the Romanian stereotypes and I find a bit of truth in all of them. But I've seen those stereotypes in American movies as well haha...I'm conflicted haha.

Anyway, I had fun at the cinema, more so because the theater was full and to hear a full theater room laughing is just...great.

A mediocrity fest
gabrielgiurca-39-5005483 January 2023
I don't think it was a very good comedy as it did not appeal to me personally but I can understand the appeal to other people. There is a lot of unnecessary violence and swearing for no particular reason, just because the producer thought it might be interesting.

There are also a lot and I mean a lot of clichees, like every other scene is a clichee. Every ethnicity in Romania is represented by yet another clichee, a thing that will appeal to simple minds. All in all I think they did a great job at making a commercial product that will be enjoyed by as many romanians as possible.

It is a mediocity fest that the majority of people will find true to life, which is a good thing from a business perspective. Therefore I hope for many more sequels. Not sequels I will watch, but sequels the people want. Long live romanian people and their lovely mediocrity!

If you want to laugh watch it
claudiu-106 January 2023
In my book comedies fall in two categories: those which makes you smile and those which makes you laugh. Teambuilding is in the latter.

Yes, some jokes are gross, some jokes are cheap, but for sure they makes you laugh. If you can't laugh at this movie, it means you can't laugh at stand up comedy and it means you are a really sad person. In this case I beg you read "Povestea pulei" by Ion Cranga. It should be funny, if is not please go to a psychiatrist.

Sound is ok, the image is decent (don't expect outstanding cinematography). Some actors didn't make a very good job, but this is not a problem because you can laugh of this too. It isn't a realist film and you shouldn't expect realism, but exaggeration and fun.

What remains beyond laughter is the satire. A satire of corporate spirit, of HR bossing around, of drinking too much, of senseless sex, of being dishonest with yourself, of putting labels to others, of indifference, of servilism, of politically corectness and many others.

Kind reminder!

Awful storyline and too much swears
albertolike5 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The movie was alright i laughed a lot but i think that they could have done so much more it wasn't that great but it wasn't bad either the cast is well known in Romania, Craiovenii saved the movie they was literally the best so far from all of them hope i will see them next time if it will be a Teambuilding 2, the movie needed more adventure more outside adventure it's like a parody from The Wolf of Wallstreet or some kinda, i admit i laughed at some jokes but most of them seemed so forced with all the swears i liked the call center part with Cosmin Nedelcu the macarena part or something like that that was my fav scene.

C'mon, people, this is a parody, don't take it too seriously
lupsacosmin12 January 2023
I see it more as a parody(satire) than a comedy per say. If you expect a comedy, you'll be dissapointed, but if you understand the genre of the movie, that this is a mockery of the corporate clichees, tropes, and doublespeak you'll get the right value of the movie.

I believe the actors didn't play badly, they played well for a parody, exagerating some of the reactions. I know some of they actors from other movies, known for goood acting, they played bad on purpose, their "bad acting" is good acting showing "bad acting" and fakeness& hypocrisy happening in everyday corporate life.

I only give it an 8 because there is some unnecessary profanity.

Supposing that most of the viewers will be Romanians, in general, we tend to be too harsh and critical with accomplishments of other Romanian fellows.

Mediocre comedy
BaconSky28 February 2023
Not good not bad. Somewhere in between. This movie gave me a 90s or 2000s comedy vibe. Definetely not amazing. But I had a good time watching it. TBH could have been time worse spent.

As a software engineer I could empathize with.corporation feeling, but sincerely I wouldn't tolerate with this kind of HR personel in any circumstance. I'd either switch jobs or just plan old quit.

Would this be possible had I been in their situation? Hard to tell, but if they search long enough they would have found something.

As for the comedic part. That was at most average. I'd say bellow average. The classic small kind of silly team vs the big bad boys. Not something you'd find often here in Romania. This kind of.bully attitude hasn't had time to evolve here.

My view is obviously biased, since I work in a corporation, and live in Romania, and the movie could only partially encompass the experiences we have in this courntry in a corp.

I oscilated between 6 and 7 and decided to go with the 6 because I have rated better movies with 7.

Worth watching?

Yes if you work in a corp Perhaps, if you don't and have the time.

incredibly stupid movie
vlad_valean1 December 2022
A very poorly made film with no humor and very bad actors. I regret seeing this movie.

I knew the movie would be bad from the moment some friends invited me to the movie, but it exceeded my expectations in how bad it was.

The jokes were only based on swearing. I understand when a swear word is used to make a joke. But here the swearing was the whole joke. The whole story is devoid of humor, with events that hardly connect with each other. In principle, a film that wants to rise to the rank of comedy barely reaches the status of a mediocre clip on Facebook

I'm surprised that so many people appreciate such a movie. Are we really that stupid as a nation?

a very good movie - a good comedy
grigorieoana-1802430 September 2022
A very good Romanian comedy. It is well anchored in Romanian reality. It is worth seeing in the cinema. I'm glad that we also started to have a cinematography industry Romania and we produce good Romanian films. The story is told with humor and makes you fall in love with the characters, who are not caricatures of people. I'm from Craiova and i love how the Craiova team was presented. Even though it's a comedy, the film successfully tackles some delicate topics: the alienation imposed by working in an organization that doesn't value you as a person, the superficiality of relationships in a corporation, the misunderstood rivalry, the salary difference. The characters are well developed and the story is well connected. Good job to the film makers!!

Overrated failed sketches
madalinul-3523411 October 2022
This could not be considered a movie. It's a bunch of sketches glued together to create a wanna be comedy.

Full of jokes that you could find five years ago on the internet. It's just a money grab that lures corporate workers with some phrases tot are often used in corporate jargon.

No character introduction, no motivation for the main protagonist just some scenes to fill the movie.

The department from Moldova is there just for the trailers, so the men audience can see some attractive girls. They play absolutely no role in the movie.

Also the team behind the movie is unable to accept criticism. If you write something bad about the movie they swear and act like maniacs, especially Cosmin Nedelcu, aka Micutu, who has no acting skills.

Way better than expected
diaconuog6 January 2023
I had really low expectations after many negative reviews seen. But it was actually a really decent comedy to watch on a Friday night. Even if being decent, is one of the best comedies in Romania from the last 3 decades. The problem is that the plot happens around the "corporation environment" which, ironically and sad, is still new for romanian public which has a big part of the public nostalgic after communist times and working for "the state".

Some really smart jokes, taboo topics that should be talked more in Romania, general corporation jokes. Take a pizza, a beer, and relax. You will not laugh your eyes out, but you will smile most of the movie.

Grotesque, extravagant and above all vulgar
ovibor7 January 2023
The idea of the film would not have been bad, but the screenplay is execrably stupid and the actors, including Serban Pavlu, play at the low amateur level from a cultural home in the bottom of Romania.

I can't believe how someone invested in this mess of Romanian film. The idea, otherwise generous, to satirize the corporate lifestyle, was wasted. I endured an hour and a half on Netflix, only, only, some memorable line, full of humor, will appear. It did not happen. I've seen a bunch of ham actors fussing over a sixpenny burlesque script.

The fact that you satirize something is not enough, if you don't do it with talent and the right artistic means. What I saw is a folly of script, direction and acting.

My rating is, with indulgence,1.

Ma, tu ai scris "Forta Steaua"!?
ydax13 January 2023
Long time since I've seen a comedy that actually made me laugh. This was so damn funny, I laughed the whole movie which I don't think it ever happened to me.

You must be a stressed stiffed romanian to not appreciate how absolutely superb this movie was and at the same time you need to be romanian to understand the huge amount of cultural subtleties present in the movie. At every turn in this movie there was fun made by something.. either corporate culture, work attitude, regional pride and common traits, current situations, etc They made fun of themselves and everything/everybody around and maybe some jokes were obvious, but still funny when encompassed in all that authentic environment and language.

Which brings us to the language. I had english subtitles, they were obviously before the actual speach, I've read them and did not even smile, heard it in romanian with all that swearing and the joke became funny as hell. I don't swear (except in english and when driving...) so vulgar language is not common to me but in this context it just made perfect sense.

I thoroughly enjoyed the prejudice, the language, the jokes. Would I watch it again, no, it was a relaxed, funny movie, but definitely no art work. It was just pure romanian fun and I absolutely stand by my rating.

Overrated movie
busuioc-832591 January 2023
I can't understand how this movie was made , I was feeling like I am back in 2000's and watching American Pie what is mean the Americans was doing this types of movies 20 years ago. Stupid jokes and poor actors, well some of them they are not even actors(Pulhac).

The movie is overrated like hell. Glad I didn't pay to watch in cinema. I have just watched on Netflix.

I hope in the future Matei Dima will come with better ideas and movies. To be honest Miami Bici was 100 times better than this. I think we should do more this types of movies(Miami Bici) , let's go out from Romania little bit if we want to be known overseas.

I'm so proud to see good romanian movies like this one
ajtaikrisztina8 October 2022
Romanian comedy about the truth in corporate life. Good cast with great acting and the story reflects the reality of work life in a corporate this days with a really funny aproach. I'm happy to finally see good Romanian movies . The story uncovers also some serious topics which are the reality like not being respected in big companies, cultural and big salary differences and many more. I love how the people from Cluj were descriped . If you live or lived in Romania this movie is a must watch.

Thank you for this experience and I will totally recommend this movie to our friends.

The best Romanian movie I watched in the last few years.

the result of cocalar culture
panaitescuflorin3 January 2023
This is the result of illiteracy. An illiterate public started glorifying an illiterate self claimed comedian who then got so full of himself that he started making skits and shorts and imbeciles from corporations started contracting him for ads and commercials because hei they need illiterate customers to buy their services. The movie is a gross and tasteless comedy full of cliches and lines translated mot a mot from american movies of the 90s.

Matei dima by his name, he is one of the greatest promoters of poor taste and illiteracy in romania, making cocalarismul cool, he is both the director and an actor in this barf of a movie, made just to launder money.

Portraying reality ( sadly)
cattaraddu3 January 2023
I don t know if people who commented below, raised their heads lately to listen how millennials talk ( exactly with the criticized expresions). Or how things go in corporate world, the rules from futile to even ridiculous, the game of power and the things some are willing to do for... Although it is presented as a satire, sadly i see the decaying society, almost truthful reality and the fact that exactly stereotypes were capture is what makes it funny. I laughed. I watched it both in cinema and Netflix and recommended to friends. Some jokes are meant to be understood by romanians only and i speak of the national regions and the constant quarell between them.

Swearing is a romanian joke
mariaadumitrescu21 October 2022
I was so dissappointed. Before this "movie", I went to watch "Weddings, Christenings and Funerals" and it was decently hilarious. However, since the hype was so big for this one, I was expecting something funnier and more qualitative. Nope. It was like a bad stand up comedy. The only jokes were the swears. That was it. Swearing is considered a joke in romanian culture and this movie has broken some records.

The charactera have no personality, no story behind, it was exactly like it was written by a 12 year old. The plot is ridiculous. I work in a corporation and is nothing like that. The acting was below any expectation.

Surprisingly funny
irinadinuispas6 January 2023
My humor level and expectations are pretty high and, when I heard about another Romanian movie, I rolled my eyes expecting a low quality and no but surprisingly, I laughed a lot and the gigs were quite good. I see a lot of negative comments and I only think that Romanians will be Romanians: proud of anything that never put effort or contribution (look up any successful athletes, tennis sportsmen and women, swimmers etc) and jealous and genuinely mean towards any hard working, talented Romanians that are really doing something.

So please ignore them and enjoy your success! Bravo! Keep up the good work!

this can not be called a movie
cpetrescu-673312 January 2023
A complete mess that adds together the full range of romanian social, regional and national stereotypes with some corporatist ones. On top of that the "comedy" offers a unnecessary vulgar language which is not at all a reality of the local society.

It offers also a catch for the male audience, bringing some female models as "actors" to play the roles of the Moldavian Team.

It also serves the viewer with product placement for on-line gaming services and alcohol which seems to be a pillar of the "story".

The actors performance is at amateur level at best.

I am not a purist but this movie is a waste.

WELL WRITTEN AND ACTED ROMANIAN COMEDY
catalin_s2 October 2022
A really good comedy, i was laughing in tears all the way through the time frame of the movie; well written, well acted and directed. The ideea behind the story is verry comun in our day to day multinational firms and it express the exact point of the employes.

I apreciated that they introduced and mocked bout the big multinational companies who dissrespect value of humans / employes, and the perfect way to show the world that the relations in a company are fake and serve only the interest for a individual.

Good job on the movie and ideea, and i am proud to finally see the new generation of romanian movie directors and actors on international stage.

Next step is the star on the hollywood hall of fame !!!!

Go get em' boys and girls !!!

Nice effort, sadly nothing else
treishsase3 January 2023
I wasn't expecting anything close to let's say "Doua Lozuri" but oh man, this was not even close to a comedy. The plot? What plot? Character development? None. The Oltenian/Moldavian/Transylvanian clichés? Badly used and some not quite accurate (the ones from Cluj. Come on WTF?! More like from Budapest. Then the girls from Moldova... any other reason for them to be present in this than the obvious one?). Overall bad acting, bad scene transitions, vulgar in a bad way, nothing solid. I would not recommend this to anyone who hasn't seen it yet, I would actually go the extra mile to make some sort of presentation without any slides to explain how bad and waste of time it is. Like I said I appreciate the effort, hence my 2 stars, but artistically speaking this is nowhere close to a comedy let alone a film.

Yes, relatable corporate comedy
ralucau3 January 2023
Those who claim is a stupid movie should find a way to relax a bit and be more truthful to themselves if they ever had corporate experience. Or those who don't, understand that this movie depicts and makes fun of all the typologies of people one can find in a Romanian corporation.

I can relate to the fact that the language and swearings could be a bit too much for some but if you ignore that, you'll hear a full cinema hall laughing from the beginning to the end. We need some fun in our lives.

Kind Reminder will stay forever in the corporate language :) I believe it already started appearing in the football games among supporters singing so well done!

A filming with some wannabe actors
gesu-6197611 December 2022
I cannot name this piece a movie. It's more like standup with lots of swearing. I would have left earlier if it wasn't for the group I went with. I was left with the feeling that I must avoid Romanian productions in the future.

The story is about a competition between teams from the four main Romanian regions that work for a corporation. Most of the characters seem to have some degree of retard. From this point of view I would say it's a poor representation of that segment of Romanian workers (or maybe I am lucky to have never met such people!).

Some country region specifics are exaggerated in an unrealistic and unpleasant way.

Great movie !
iar9914 January 2023
It's a great movie !!! I came out of the cinema in a good mood after watching it! My expectations on the humorous part of this movie, I admit, were higher considering that Micutzu in general in standup shows is brilliant. For humor I rated the film an 8, but you get a 10 from me for your initiative in making this film! It gave me a bit of an impression that you seemed to wear gloves and act reserved in your jokes, probably trying to make the film come off as well as possible. For the budget you must have had to create such a film, I think it came out great! Congratulations guys and don't let the haters demoralize you!

How is this over 2 points?
florianc-969743 January 2023
It says a lot about our culture that our most commercially successful movie in the last whatever-it-was years is a movie that doesn't even have real actors, with few exceptions.

The only interesting characters were the ones played by actual actors. There was a semblance of a plot, but done in the most cliché way possible.

The jokes were terrible, only about how much we smoke, drink and how obsessed we are with women. I think I laughed once.

Characters are one-dimensional and forgettable yet are somehow meant to illustrate corporate life. No semblance of wit, subtlety or cunning.

It feels like this movie was created by a bunch of high-school students. A prime example of why "tell don't show" is a bad idea.

Total waste of time.
