Sex & Nudity
-
- Some female characters are dressed in revealing outfits (e.g., skin-tight leather, lingerie and showgirl costumes.) Although no nudity is ever shown.
- Players can enter a 'Peep Show' and receive a 'Peeping Tom' bonus. You get this bonus by walking in to a area.
- Posters of women scattered around the city. But it is brief, none of the posters show any nudity.
- Sexual references can be made by women (often with quite a bit of cleavage) making crude remarks to Chuck, but it is usually in the form of psychopaths, survivors, or other random characters.
- One of the announcers in the Terror is Reality gameshow (which can be played online for in-game money) makes a sexual reference at the beginning of pretty much every game.
- A sex toy 'massager' can be found in a sex shop and can be used to beat zombies. This is done for comedic reasons.
- There is a particular survivor that is determined to finish her performance, which consists of her dancing in very skimpy clothing and speaking/singing in a rather breathy and seductive voice. It's nothing too inappropriate.
Violence & Gore
-
- This game is extremely violent.
- Players can use guns, swords, chainsaws, or flamethrowers to kill the myriad zombies and scattered humans.
- Large sprays of blood frequently occur and zombies frequently get dismembered and decapitated.
- Zombies can be dismembered, electrocuted, impaled, shot, beat down, blown up or cut in half.
- Zombies rip chunks of flesh off humans.
- A man who drills his chainsaw into a priest's chest.
- A man repeatedly stabs another.
- A man slits his own throat (he is turned around, so the player does not see the cut.)
- A man falls on a table-saw (again, the cutting is not seen, only his body convulsing and blood spurting.)
- Chucks will battle some looters and many armed mercenaries, but their deaths are generally less graphic than those of the zombies.
- After intense battles, Chucks clothes will be stained red to varying degrees (fading away after a while).
- Zombies will also attempt to bite and/or eat humans, resulting in bloody (but not detailed) results.
- Some humans are killed as well, usually by the psychopaths that Chuck encounters.
- Blood sprays out of enemies.
Profanity
-
- While the F-bomb isn't dropped, characters do say it but they are cut off, this happens a few times.
- Foul language in this game includes "shit," "ass," "damn," "hell," "God" and "damn."
- Name calling (pussy, shithead, bastard and bitch.)
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- Some missions involve making, serving, and drinking alcoholic beverages (e.g., wine, vodka, and whiskey.)
- If players drink too much alcohol, their movements may become erratic and they may vomit.
- Much of the game focuses on retrieving shots of a drug called "Zombrex," which the protagonist's daughter must be injected with to keep from transforming into a zombie.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- For older teens/adults and up (16-21+)
- It sensationalizes the killing of zombies and makes it out to be fun.
- It also has players crafting their own killing machines such as an I.E.D. by combining various found objects.
- The game-play is focused on hacking, slashing, and shooting zombies, hardly an ideal role-model.
- Players will come across survivors that you can't save and seeing them die can be very intense.
- A frightened man is running and is murdered in cold blood by a man riding a motorcycle with chainsaws and no remorse is shown.
- A female survivor is kidnapped by two psychotic magicians who end up killing her by trying to perform the saw in half trick.
- Near the end of a game a woman is shot in the head by a man that we learn is one of people responsible for the zombie invasion.
