Watched this with my children and they loved it. It was great fast paced fun, from start to finish. Interesting colorful characters, funny in parts, with lots of action and world building. Great fun for all the family.

When you speak low budget you do not expect to come across such ambitious films like sci fis with lots of FX both physical and digital.
That said they pulled it off and Star warrior deserves many congrats on this.
Overall, good little movie, good acting and decent fx. So impressive work to say the least
Look forward top seeing the next saga of this movie.

A cracking good yarn

This is what we need more of these days, a good old-fashioned blood and thunder yarn of good versus evil.
Taking its inspiration from Spartacus' revolt against the Roman Empire, Star Warrior tells the tale of honest people, enslaved and forced to fight as gladiators by an oppressive military regime, risking everything to fight for their freedom - only it does it on a galactic scale.
It is well done, well acted, pacy, exciting, and packed with impressive special effects. Anyone who is still a teenager at heart is going to love this.

Wow, this is bad. I'm not even sure now if we all watched the same movie. The high rating is absurd. Some of the voices are simply distorted to give it a darker voice. The effects are College student green screen tricks and the actors are just (like) amateurs. From the beginning m, really the title, it already gave me the impression of a "C-rated" movie. But I gave it a chance. After 10 minutes I really had to give up. Come on folks, when was the last time you have been in a cinema? This is absolutely crap. For the ones with a longer breath then me... the movie has a duration of 1h 18m. But that includes the titles. Not worth the time.

With the help of the the crew's grandparents and the local church's am-dram group, "Star Warrior" brings you an incomprehensible affront to the art of film.
The writer of the script must have been told "You can't just take every Sci-fi trope you've heard of and put it in a script" and instead of taking that as solid advice, saw it as a personal challenge. Whoever edited the sound, clearly felt the same and did their absolute best to make sure you can barely hear the dialogue. They evidently had help from whoever did the editing, whom, so.vehemently wanted you to look away from the film, they decided to assault viewers with an array of every possible colour filter they could find. That or a black filter, because obviously Granddad Dave in the main cast couldn't stay up late enough to film any scenes at night.
To whoever made the spaceship scenes, I'm sorry to hear your kickstarter for your retro game fell through, but I am happy you still had chance to use the animations you built for the trailer.

I am always a little suspect about watching a film, that has poster art, that seems to come straight from Star Wars or Star Trek, but for once, I was not disappointed.
I find that these films usually lack the world building and the special FXs, to make them worth while. I often find myself, an hour into the film, and I am wondering, where is all the cool stuff from the poster art.
This film however, seriously delivers. It is packed full of a multitude of alien species, the pace is fast, as it takes you from planet to planet, to many original exotic locations and delivers tons of action, in terms of space ship battles and live action laser blaster battles.
I thoroughly enjoyed this film from start to finish, as it propelled me into an original galactic world, as colorful as any Star Wars or Star Trek film.
Anyone is a fan of the swashbuckling space adventure, should enjoy this, I certainly did.

I was sucked in by the average rating after finding this on Prime. To quote annejanz74 "Wow this is bad". I think her 2/10 was overly generous, I too gave up after 10 mins and I'm generally more tolerant of bad sci-fi films but this was laughable, so badly acted and produced. I've not left a review for ages but this abomination inspired me . Thank god my Amazon prime was a free trial.

Extremely Entertaining

Found this film extremely entertaining. Reminded me a little of Guardians of the galaxy, with a bit of Star Wars and Star Trek, thrown in. Thought the characters were great fun, and found it very funny in parts. My kids loved it, and I can see why.

Yes this is quite cheap budget, but it really punches above its weight in that department. So often with these cheaper sci fi films, little happens in the story, because the film makers, obviously did not have much money, so they play it safe, as their hands are tied.
This little gem how ever, really goes for it and delivers an incredibly fast paced story, that has as much action as any star wars film. It tells a vast and some what mythological story, that reminds me of the stories of old, like clash of the titans or Jason and the argonauts.
If you are a snob about production values, then maybe this is not for you, but if you enjoy story over everything, then for sure check this out. It is hugely entertaining.

Great special effects film. Sfx are cool too. A nd Locations are interesting, hope to see more from this filmmaker.

I love a good sci fi movie and this one did not disappoint. Fast moving brilliant story. Thoroughly enjoyed it from
start to finish. Super special effects. I got lost in its world as I went from planet to planet. Brilliant.
A fun mix of great story, with plenty of action.

This is an entertaining film that held my attention from beginning to end. A perfect balance of action - (with some very good effects that don't say low-budget) - with a good storyline and some great characters. Definitely worth a watch.

I appreciate independent Sci-Fi movies are a bit niche, and I personally like to look for entertainment away from typical Hollywood offerings. But I have to tell you I found myself with a big smile on my face watching this movie. Do yourself a favour and give it a go!

The film is everything a Sci-Fi fan would love. Lots of action and fantastic special effects. The story is absolutely fantastic. The characters are amazing and the look of the different species are phenomenal. Definitely worth a watch.

I like a space adventure and I like mythological films, like clash of the titans and Jason and the argonauts, and this film seems to put, both sub genres together. An array of fun and colourful characters, with a fast pace, and tons of action.
You are transported from one unique planet, to another, as the pace of the film accelerates through out. I watched this for free on plex (with adverts), but would have happily paid to watch it, without adverts on Amazon prime.
This film is both funny and also sad in parts. It also has a retro feel, as if it could have been made in the 80s, shortly after the initial release of star wars. If you are a sci fi fan, this is definately worth a watch.

I just love finding new sci fi films, that I did not know exist, that are a pleasure to watch. Most of the time you end up disappointed, but it is worth it, just to find, that odd rare gem and this is one of them.
You simply can not be bored by this film, as it entertains from the get go. Would love to see a sequel or spin off.

Great film a must watch. The special effects take this story to a whole new level for me personally. The casting did a fantastic job, all actors seem to fit thier roles perfectly.

I'm a huge sci fi fan and this definitely ticks the boxes.
The movie has an inventive storyline and good character mix as well as great scenery. It takes you to another world and will keep you gripped. It boasts exceptional visuals and special effects to make this a very memorable film. Loved it.
It is a joy to watch. Out of this world.
