The strength of its storyline and characters make it a worthwhile watch

After watching the film, I must say that I was impressed by the creativity and originality of the screenplay. The story is well-crafted and keeps the audience engaged throughout the film. The performances by the actors are also noteworthy, and they do justice to their respective characters.

However, the execution of the plot leaves a lot to be desired. There are several instances in the film where the storyline appears forced and illogical. The pacing of the film also feels uneven at times, which affects the overall impact of the movie. Additionally, the technical aspects of the film could have been better, with some scenes feeling underdeveloped and lacking in visual appeal.

Despite these drawbacks, the film is still enjoyable, thanks to its innovative concept and strong character development. The story is centered around a young man who discover a mysterious book that has the power to change his lives.

In conclusion, while I appreciate the creative approach taken by the filmmakers in 18 Pages 2022, I cannot ignore the flaws in its execution. Pleasant Ride to the Feel Good Movies of the 2000s

This movie is not the watch if your looking for something novel or thrilling. This is the movie to watch if you have been craving for a 2000s -esque film. I am a sucker for the movies of the late 90s and early 2000s which have good drama and feel good elements. That is what this movie promised and delivered on.

Palnati Surya Pratap's 18 Pages is about Nikhil who after a break up finds a diary. Through this diary he falls in love with Anupama's character who is a simple women with who has a homely appeal. Things take a turn when her diary ends and he is worried as to what happened to her, so attempts to find out what happened. He finds out about the trouble she got into and how she was being protected by her ex, but in this process Nikhil was living by Anupama's ideals.

Putting it on paper, it sounds like a more intriguing story, but it is not at all complex and dealt with in a quite simple fashion. In fact, it is quite predictable. Watching with my family, we were able to call out what would happen next and it is not something I say in a bad manner. When I want a nice 2000s esque movie, that is what I expect. I could imagine a Srikanth, Jagapathi Babu, or Tottempudi Venu doing this movie in the early 2000s.

The visuals are quite stunning. I loved the color palette and how the film showcased the scenes when Anupama enters the scene. In fact, Anupama's acting is a stand out in the film. She acts as like a recent village transplant with strong ideals and a homely angle quite well, plays the typical ideal woman from the 2000s. Nikhil is decent in the role he plays, a little over the top at times, but he does it well and truly reminded me of the roles Srikanth played in his heyday.

I thought the dialogues, though cliched and mundane, helped set that feeling of happening in the past. The Bramhaji scenes generated great banter for the film. And the movie just feels good to watch.

Overall, this is a movie to watch if u have been craving 2000s feel good telugu movies.

Good to experience

It's not a rollercoaster ride as promised by the makers.. but it has some good moments throughout.. the main drawback is the plot when restricts the main leads to do not meet.

It's highly predictable too... In 2nd half we barely see any story.

Coming to Nikhil , it was a tailor made character for him , he performed well , and anupama is the show stealer she is blend of various emotions which she potraied very beautifully

Coming to final verdict it came from production company like sukumar writings and director surya pratap We already expect a movie like kumari 21f But this one disappointed though

My personal rating : 6/10.

Amazing portrayal of Love

What a movie i have witnessed. This movie made me smile throughout the movie. Made me cry a bit too. I am sure it will make the viewers smile and cry a bit as well. Fantastic Movie making. This is what love is all about. Request everyone to go for this Movie. It will definitely make you feel a lot better about life. This is how you deliver a movie. Content oriented movie. Story was Crisp and Apt. Best part is that i am still smiling when I am writing the review.

Hats off to the Makers and the entire department for giving us a gem of a movie. Keep doing wonders as people are tired of nonsense.

Sensible love story that needs no reason

We'd have certainly come across enough movies that revolve around an old book or similar thing. A 'Love story' in genre, I'd rather quote here a 'Love feeling' was served with eloquence.

Title in itself carries a storyline, thus assuming this part doesn't spill the beans.

Nikhil's story opened up to his usual charm and he carried it along in the first half effortlessly. Second half needed him for the story and justified it to the core.

Anupama's charm did spread over the screen during her part. Undoubtedly every page of 18pages has captured her intrinsically.

The present trend in Telugu movies is to have a character either lead or supporting role with Telangana slang. Sarayu floated on it without disappointing and Supporting Nikhil with proper quantity.

Yea some loose ends and illogical episodes does pop up, never the less movie or emotion is amalgamation of events at right time and place.

This movie proved that love can be expressed without touch.

Writing is the means by which we love without companionship or touch. #18Pages.. A movie that teaches us the definition of love. Love is not just an emotion but an aspect of life that gives us hope to live. And this is the first film in my film experience that I have seen so far that has an actor and actress Finally they meet each other and express themselves without saying anything. Thank you Nikhil Siddharth Gaaru and Anupama Parmeshwar Gaaru for such an amazing Movie. That was wonderful experience to watch the film with so many emotional feelings that a real human being wanted to live, wanted to feel. Supremely Talented Person :: Sukumar Gaaru.. you are just beyond thinking.., means your writing and your thoughts are so so happening and lovable.. Good Entertainment

Movie is good.

Story is touching.

There was no boring feel at any point in the movie.

Suspense. The feeling of what would happen now was there.

One needs to watch the movie to enjoy the thrill.

Full marks to the story writer. Would love to watch his next movie too.

Dash of decent comedy here and there. Comedy was weaved into the story, looks and feels very natural.

Music is sober. Couple of good songs.

This movie can be watched with family members.

Portrayal of characters by hero, heroine, hero's friend are good.

Worth every penny spent on tickets.

I would love to watch the movie again if time permits.

Above Average Writing, Below Average Execution

When you see names like Sukumar and Allu Aravind associated with a film you expect atleast an above average product. I watched this movie on Netflix getting drawn by the ratings it had received. But it was a big let down right from the word go. The movie is just average in content but what lets it down is its hopeless execution. The overboard acting (especially by the hero's friend in her irritating dialect), silly and non-connecting characterizations are a big put off. The first half just goes on the preachy and filmsy mode. It gets a bit interesting post-interval but soon the director and writer spoil it by silly characterizations of the negative characters( at the end you get confused if they are negative or comedy characters). Apart from badly written/executed scenes, the average music, camerawork, sound, make up and technical aspects( voice dubbing is pathetic, sounds like a dubbing movie than a straight one) also fails to impress. It feels as if you are watching atleast a decade or two decade old movie. The film takes the love angle in the first half and kind of thriller in the second half but loses steam in the proceedings. The only saving grace in the film is a few scenes in the second half and the climax. Watch it if you have nothing better.

A One Time Watch.

As good as SitaRamam

Nothing can be better than this story. Perfect blend of suspense,romance and have perfect climax.

Anupama is perfectly chosen for her role. The story contains multiple climax and have perfectly hyped suspense.

Overall this movie deserves 10 stars for its Story.

The male casting could be better. But he was also good. My experience with this movie was very good. I got goosebumps in multiple scenes, the movie is in the level of SitaRamam still could not beat it but this movie reminded me of SitaRamam, similar suspense and climax was there in the movie. I definitely suggest you to watch this movie.

Good Idea but bad execution.

The idea of the film is fascinating but it was burdened with flat narration, a confusing protagonist character and bad dubbing. All the songs were situational except for the first song in the movie which I felt was totally unnecessary and it melowed the emotion in the particular portion of the movie. The tone of the film was also confusing for me. Many ideas were introduced and were not completely fleshed out and many loose ends were not addressed. The performance of Anupama as Nandini was convincing but Nikhil's character as Siddhu was poorly written, but Nikhil hits the emotional notes in the hospital scene that comes in the second half of the movie really well.

A unique love story.

Watch this masterpiece for sure you will learn something.

Nikhil Siddharth and anupama parmeshwaran nailed it from there great acting with pure emotions.

Every character do there work perfectly.

Some times it contains comedy which is very well but there emotional love story definitely touch your heart.

It's a different types story as wel as love story that will give you entertainment with emotional feel.

Not everyone can make this type of movie. Greetings to makers.

And one very big thing that this movie has not single vulgar scene or conversation like Bollywood movies.

I love this movie so much.

Please go and watch.

You will understand what true love is.

True love story movie

Firstly I thank to the director,actor and my lovely actress. That they creates such a lovely movie the story was un predictable. This story taught me a lot about life and love . Which everyone needed . One thing I loved is there is t no reason to love anyone. So love and make your every day special and make a place in every one heart . Don't use to much phone that you only interact people virtually who is in real make them feel that you make them special .I uses to much phone but after watching this awesome movie I will change my habit so u should do also , and what a superb acting in this movie loved it thanks to all who is in this movie.

Released at wrong time ... otherwise would be a blockbuster

One more pure love story after Seetaramam. Gripping screenplay. Just watch this movie in relax mode you must going to love this film. I didn't see Nikhil and Anupama just seen Siddu and Nandini. Nandini character questioned every one, can't we live without mobile? May be this concept not digest to many people that's why didn't reach core people, but that's true. If this movie released after Pongal it would be a big blockbuster. But released in wrong time. We may believe it or not releasing time also would be luck to movies. Shyam Singha Roy also didn't comes under biggest blockbuster because of timing. Sukumar writing and Prathap directions is scored big contribution in the output.

Cringe fest

I cannot believe people like this embodiment of cringe. I couldn't even watch the first 5 mins but just watched for the sake of knowing how cringey a movie can be. This movie is unbelievable. Pure Cringe. Just Cringe max. I hated it. Core cringe. I cannot think of how this story was pitched to a producer and was okay'd and someone really thought this would work. I don't event want to get started on the protagonist. Oh my God! He was made for cringe content. Even the music was cringey for crying out loud. I just cannot trash this movie enough. It can't get cringier than this. This movie is impossible. I just want to unsee this.

This movie makes everyone realize what true love is

The movie plot is such an interesting one that an audience watching this movie is going to immerse into the story and can feel the exact way the protagonist feels. Hats off to whole team for making such wonderful LOVE movie. The way the movie portrayed LOVE is the key to lead a happy life is amazing.

After mukunda this is the movie which was this damn good in showing the true meaning of LOVE

Movie at any point won't be boring as one immerses into it while watching.

Am regretting why i haven't watched this movie at theater.

Most of today's generation students and teens won't find this movie that fantastic, but trust me TODAY'S youth and teenagers, love is not something which they show in all movies or web-series or any other thing such as romance, sex, nudity and all

Good concept ruined by overacting and old school dramedy

As the title says it all. The movie could have been a lot better if not for useless overacting scenes and borderline cringe comedies, otherwise a good concept.

Unecesaary scenes right from the start and inbetween which i believe were used to elongate the movie due to lack of further plot.

I only watched the movie, with subtitles (which is a terrible movie watching experience), due to the imdb rating of 7.8 and honestly the rating it deserves is 4 and borderline 5 at best.

While going through cringe comedies and unrealistic seriousness of the main character i was cursing my luck of watching this but had to finish it.

Terrible direction however a good concept.

Excellent story telling

Didn't feel lost for even a single second. Amazing love story. First part, boy falling for girl is routine but the twists and turns and girl tracking back the boy and the way the scenes and emotions are captured are next level. Excellent naration and lovely screenplay overall. Acting is just amazing. Every character had played there role perfectly and backround scores are just amazing. Overall a whole package. Missed watching this movie in the theater. The feel after coming out of the theater would last for long. Telugu industry should come up with such good stories always. Feel good movie. Everyone will enjoy thoroughly.

Sorry for not watching the movie in theatre.

This movie, this story is just exceptional.

It moved me so much I literally felt guilty for not watching the movie in theatre.. Loved the concept a lot.

This is the first time I have written a review for a movie.

It was so beautiful I couldn't resist. After a long timemy eyes were literally in tears and when it ended it felt like it should continue and should not stop.

Hats off to the makers and keep making such beautiful masterpieces.

This movie had so much emotions to it which couldn't be explained in words.

People who have not watched the movie it. Please watch it. Its available in Netflix.

Yet another cliched over-dramatic movie

TL;DR: Very amateurish writing, screenplay, dialogues, music. Performance of everyone except lead actress was subpar and artificial.

A guy gets attracted to a girl whom he comes across through her diary. Heroine is yet another cliched character, who is very kind to everyone, doesn't use mobile phone nor has any materialistic interests, and the guy gets attracted her because of these attributes. The timelines narrated through the movie is also confusing, where they say 2 years back at certain times, 1 year back at certain times.

Coming to the performances, Anupama did well, whereas the male actor was very bland. Music was also a big let down. It is 2022 and we still see someone entering the court just like that and enters a case, and the judge's reaction and the judgement was hilarious.

A girl and boy falling in love without ever meeting is an old concept. Ajith's "Prema Lekha" dealt with the same subject. So, how does a hero falling in love with a girl accidentally by reading her diary become a novel plot line? The bare bones of Sukumar's story are interesting, but they don't capture the current times.

The script has some serious problems. If Nikhil Siddharth's character fell in love with Anupama after reading her diary in one sitting (the whole thing is only 18 pages long, hence the title), we could see that happening. However, in the film, he is shown to get excited after every turn of the page, and to react wildly to every incident narrated in the story as if it were happening at that very moment. It's hard to imagine how a 2022 computer whiz like him would respond to events in 2019 dairy.

It's also shown that he reads a page or two a day for a couple of days and then starts doing things like turning off social media apps, etc. That Nandini did in 2019. This doesn't feel like a natural response on the part of the character, but rather like a screenwriter's shortcut.

Aside from this and other logical issues, "18 Pages" captures our attention from the start. The initial events, such as Nikhl's break-up with his girlfriend and his reactions to Anupama's diary, are interesting. The situations preceding the song "Nannayya Raasina" are also enjoyable. Another interesting episode in the film is the tension that the hero feels when he suspects she has married his neighbour.

However, aside from a few episodes, the sluggish narrative and unconvincing kidnap drama are detrimental to the flow. The second half is structured like a thriller, and when the true mystery is revealed, it is completely unconvincing. The reason given for the importance of a "cover" is ridiculous and illogical. The final moments appear to deviate from the main theme. Many implausible events occur.

Fortunately, the film concludes in a more convincing manner.

Overall, "18 Pages" succeeds only intermittently; the drama is underwhelming, and the love story fails to resonate. There are some good songs, and the first half is pretty good, but overall it just doesn't feel very modern.

A big bundle of cliche

Just because of Sukumar writings watched this movie. This is not even close to his previous writing "kumari 24f". The romantic connection and core theme is interesting, but the presentation in seen 1000 times in earlier movies.... On top of this Nikhil unsubtle acting adds more cliche....

The first half is full of coated with heavy sugar coated romantic flow.... It supposed to make you feel good, but it just irritates and super dooper predictable.

This is not rubbish movie, just the over-done in all scenes and characters spoil the total fun.

I just felt I wasted my time by watching this movie...

Wonderful Love Story.Falling in love all over again.

I am reviewing a movie for the first time, I can't explain it in words, watching a movie and feeling it from inside are two different things, but this movie has done that, in which feeling of love from heart is born. By watching the film, we get immersed in the feeling of love, it shows how important love is in human life, it is very important to have a good person for true love, with the power of love, we are always happy with each other for lifetime. This kind of film is made only once in a lifetime.

I haven't seen such a good love story till date, made me realize what love is, this movie made me cry, words are less to praise this movie.

SORRY 😞 🙏 I'm Not watched in Theatre.

But I moving and enjoyed every bit of Nandini & Siddu's characters.

Now a days .. Hard to find pure Love emotion.

Atleast we can feel it by these movie.

The movie succeeds in making us believe the characters - A heroine who refrains digital medium and the protagonist who roots for her in "imaginable" ways. Had the casting been wrong it would not have worked.

The storyline is wafer thin age old love story plot - "Will the love get accepted? Will they unite?". The story and screenplay with cuts between past and present makes it an interesting watch. And, the narration keeps us reminding that this happened in the past.

The last part is emotional and a truly feel good movie. Though the story lacks logic at many places it is true to its characters. Do watch!!!
