A strong end to Series 6

Warning: Spoilers
This is another of the Ben/Susan free episodes that would pop up in this second half of 'My Family'.

Once again Rosemary Leach is brought in as Grace to lighten the load on Zoe Wannamaker, as well as Robert Bathurst as an art collector.

The main story works well, and Wannamaker does well with it.

Series 6 of the show has seen an increase in screen time for Roger/Abi and their potential romance. After the calamity of the previous weeks episode it was nice to see the characterisation of them being a bit more grounded, and there are some nice moments, especially the faked proposal between Roger and Janey (the sadly underused Daniella Denby Ashe).

Overall it's been a series of transition for 'My Family', with new avenues of comedy having to be found now that Kris Marshall has departed completely. The writing has become more inconsistent and the performances given are larger, but when 'My Family' gets it right, it can still be a wonderful example of British comedy.
