Very good

While not the best Seinfeld episode, this is still an enjoyable little romp.

George makes a remark to a couple who are having a rough time. The couple then break-up and George is left feeling guilty. Meanwhile, Jerry and Elaine try to get dates with the new singletons. Watching Jerry and Elaine co-ordinate their moves raises a smile.

The episode isn't remarkably funny, but still engaging. The funny parts come from Kramer and his tight jeans - brilliant! The Frankenstein bit had me chuckling!

All in all, worth a watch. 7/10

Georges is the more human of them all
nicofreezer29 July 2022
Once again George Costanza prove that he is the better person, the most human of the 4, at least more than Elaine ans jerry. Because he Cares, he Cared about that waiter fired when no one else did, and here he cares about the couple !

Of course when it Comes to Suzan, he is a different animal, but he is the Georges we love. Without a shadow of a doubt the best , most complex and funniest character in a show with 4 great characters.

Once Again, Ego Dominates
Hitchcoc3 March 2023
The main plot is George telling a woman on the verge of divorce, "You can do better than him." He doesn't realize they are having marital troubles when he says this. As it turns out, his comment pushes them forward. The couple are attractive and so Elaine immediately goes after the husband and Jerry after the wife. The scenes stealer, as always, is Kramer, who is offended when Jerry says he can't wear jeans. So he buys a pair of the most tight fitting ones possible. He can't bend at the waist or bend his knees. This leads to some hilarious visuals. He is made to walk like Frankenstein's monster. There is a hilarious conclusion with Kramer being arrested and a surprise in the little boy's bed.

' Well what you need to understand David, is that George is an idiot'

Warning: Spoilers
Absolutely brilliant episode can't believe someone's said it's nit one of the best. This is classic and funny in so many ways. My main love of this episode is Cary Elwes (who I adore) as David Lookner the husband part of the on again off again marriage which both Elaine and Jerry are 'waiting out'. Micky's back in another genius plot with Kramer who is unable to get out of his jeans and ends up getting arrested. Elaine is a terrible driver So many scenes, so many plot points, and tons of laughs. Not quite as good as The Yada Yada also featuring Debra Messing as Beth. But is still seriously is one of the amazing best!

This episode felt short haha!!

Wow. What an episode!

This review was written in the month of March on the date number 13th in the year number 2023rd.

What is this episode about?: Jerry and Elaine play very dirty by rushing to pick up the leftover of a marriage.

George is eager to apologize for ruining a marriage.

Kramer wears tight pants.

Story and Production: A good episode.

The scene go by too fast. Every second you are hearing the annoying transition music. I hate it.

Overall this episode was good for what it is because of George, Elaine and Jerry storyline. I just wish they slowed down a bit.

Highlight: Bet you could have done a lot better than him... Susan's head punking George for a chicken.... Elaine talking like a detective.

Laugh meter: 10

Villain: Jerry and Elaine. They were desperate and thirsty.

What can be learned?: Don't sabotage a marriage.

Verdict: A fun episode to wait out the time.

Debra Messing as Beth Lukner
safenoe11 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Debra Messing makes her first of two appearances as Beth Lukner, who makes her second appearance in the season eight episode The Yada Yada. Big-time Hollywood star Cary Elwes plays Beth's on-screen husband in The Wait Out, which almost wraps up season seven.

George is apoplectic for ruining a marriage, and he thinks he can get out of the marriage with Susan, but not to be. Or is it? Well, we shall see in the next episode, which is the season seven finale.

Anyway, I'm enjoying re-watching most of the episodes of Seinfeld after I first watched them back in the 1990s, and I'm gaining a greater appreciation of the core of the Seinfeld characters.

Ruining Relationships
Samuel-Shovel18 December 2018
Warning: Spoilers
In "The Wait Out", George's comment to a married couple with a rocky relationship causes them to separate. As Elaine and Jerry try to swoop in on the new singles, George tries to undo what he caused. Kramer wears a pair of tight jeans that he can't get off, causing all sorts of problems in his life.

There's something about this episode that rubs me the wrong way a bit. Most of the time, these characters come off as a bit rude and sometimes jerks, but loveable jerks. Here, it almost feels evil how systematically Jerry and Elaine attempt to keep these two apart. The whole tone of their scheme feels a bit darker than usual. It didn't feel like your ordinary episode. For this reason, I have notched down my rating, although there are still some great parts.
