This is one of those episodes where there is a sort of choreography to the whole thing. When George gets into it with another guy over a parking space, everything snowballs. All the principles are heading to Jerry's to watch a fight, but George's utter stubbornness is in the way. Julia Louis-Dreyfuss's story about the teenagers is fantastic.

(plot). George and another parker fight over a space in front of Jerry's building. The stand-off continues into the night and the entire neighborhood debates whether parking priority should go to the person "backing in" or the one "pulling in".
The Parking Space is a fine little episode, that's very silly, but hilarious just the same. I loved Elaine's made up story about the wild teenagers chasing them into the city, to make up for the car making a clanking noise, and Lee Arenberg was absolutely hilarious as Mike!, plus him and Alexanders bickering about the Parking Space was highly amusing and cracked me up. It's extremely well written by Greg Dainels and directed by Tom Cherones, and Jerry's stand ups were very funny as well, plus I believe Mike deserved the parking spot, Elaine was right if George wasn't wasting time so much about how much of a great driver he was, he would have had the spot!, that's just my opinion though. It always makes me laugh when the cops start arguing about who's space it is, and this is extremely well made as well, plus I liked the ending to this too. The Parking Space is a fine little episode, that's very silly, but hilarious just the same, and I say it's a must see for every Seinfeld lover, if you Haven't!. ****1/2 out of 5.

In the second-to-last episode of its third season, Seinfeld gets dangerously close to crossing the line in terms of how freaking stupid the show's random subjects can get. Needless to say, no concern is necessary: The Parking Space is as excellent as any other thing ever concocted for the series, and this is only Season Three - the real gems appear in the next one.
It all begins with an offhand remark by Kramer (who else?), who tells Jerry his friend Mike said something about him (Jerry, that is) being a "phony". Then Elaine borrows the comedian's car and comes up with an outrageous story about teenage vandals when it starts making funny noises. And last but not least, the second half of the episode is entirely vehicle-centric, as George and the aforementioned Mike argue about a parking space and the whole neighborhood (including Jerry and - ha ha - Newman) joins in on the conversation to provide their view on parking "etiquette".
Being a licensed driver myself, I know how hard it can be to find an empty spot (especially a legal one) to leave your car in, but even that could have made it hard to believe such a mundane topic could have been the narrative center of a large chunk of a TV episode. As always, the gamble pays off because of what the characters say: things that are believable and delightfully surreal at the same time. Plus, Wayne Knight appears. That's never a bad thing.

Lee Arenberg guest stars as Mike Moffitt in this third season episode of Seinfeld, The Parking Space, and we see a tug-of-war over a parking space in front of Jerry's apartment, and in real life the exterior of it is in Los Angeles, not in New York City believe it or not. Anyway, Wayne Knight returns as Newman, the most infamous letter carrier to grace a sitcom, and it happened that in the year this episode was released, Knight's fame hit the stratosphere with his starring role in Basic Instinct alongside Sharon Stone, with a supporting role by Michael "Streets of San Francisco" Douglas init right.
People forget. Look at "Home Alone." They forgot.

The Parking Space is about George getting into a parking dispute with Kramer's friend Mike.
A limited episode, the humour comes mostly from character frustration. George's easily pushed to the breaking point, but this Mike guy's just bottled anger. George deserves to lose the spot because he took so long, though he never accepts the consequences for his actions or learns from it. I've barely ever reverse parked, so you need to at least indicate your intention. These people in the background conversing's all a bit cringe. Kramer and Newman offer some of the highlights and Jerry's standup's good, especially the closing. Though this might be the weakest run of episodes in the entirety of the show, after "The Fix Up," which is brilliant.

So this is a very strange episode. Apparently writers can go back in time and change things up. So, George doesn't have a brother. He says "nobody in my family can pay for parking, t's a sickness. My father never paid for parking, my mother, my brother. We can't do it" .
I don't know why no one has addressed this before. He is an only child. Can we please get some more people on board with writing proper reviews. Just so I can be clear, I made an account just to address this specific issue. I could not watch anymore of this show with out writing a review. George is an only child.
