If you asked anyone acquainted with this program, which episode of The Good Life they remember most, you will probably find The Windbreak War would be your most popular answer.

Tom and Barbara Good, have planted their soft fruits for the year in what is naturally the sunniest part of their garden, however Margo who having rejoined and taken over presidency of the music society erects a windbreak for her new 'Music Arbour', right over the very patch of ground in which the fruits are planted.

After lobbying successfully for her to reposition it, Margo and Tom have a falling out, which Tom believes is the reason why the windbreak is still in its original position the next day.

To teach Margo a lesson and to make her feel guilty they move the fruit, only to arrive home later to see that the windbreak has also been moved and is once again leaving it in the shade.

Tom and Barbara are furious, again believing it to have been done out of Margo's spite and pettiness.

Has it all been a misunderstanding or has Margo really been playing a nasty game of revenge? Featuring the now famous alcohol fuelled party at the end, this is true vintage British comedy and THE classic of a series full of classics.
