When the show begins, Ritchie is watching some kids show, "The Uncle Spunky Show"...something sort of like "The Soupy Sales Show". It features some skit involving a talking bowling ball and Ritchie laughs and laughs about it. Later, Ritchie tells Rob a bit about the talking bowling pin...but never mentions he saw it on TV. Rob thinks it's an original idea and rushes to work to write up the sketch. Imagine everyone's surprise when they find out the mistake and could be threatened with a lawsuit for stealing material from Uncle Spunky!
This is a funny and clever episode. I also appreciate that you see Alan Brady...but every time you might see his face, it's hidden from the viewers. Well worth seeing.
