JVP changed our lives.

In October of 2002, my mother and I went to California and were on Beyond with JVP. I have seen and talked to so many people who say that James is a fraud. Tell me this, do you think that just from watching his show? Have you ever talked to him? Have you ever had him contact anyone who has passed on in your life? James is one of the most down-to-earth and caring people that I have ever met. not only did he contact my older brother, who was 16 years old when he passed away, but he told us things that we didn't even know was true until after the show, when we returned home. It is completely wrong of someone to accuse a person of being a "fraud". He is not a psychic, he is a medium. They are two completely different things. Don't ever accuse somebody of doing bad when he has helped so many people, including my mom and I.

Pathetic....

The most manipulated, contrived show you're ever likely to see. HOW this man can sleep at night is certainly "Beyond" me! People like this exploit grieving families who are so desperate to believe that their loved one is still with them somehow, that they blindly swallow the info that he "tells" them, never questioning the fact that he does NOTHING! He asks questions, takes guesses, makes bland and banal statements that could be applicable to half the people in the room, and pretends that he is receiving the information from heaven! The saddest part is that so many people are taken in by people like this, and allow people like Van Praagh and Sylvia Brown etc to prostitute the memory of their loved ones, and make themselves very rich in the process. If you have ever paid to hear or see one of these people, or bought one of their books, then you have my deepest sympathy. Your loved ones deserve better, and so do you.

Forget what you know, believe what you see.

I heard about this show a few months back, and wishing that it was on Australian TV, I finally got my wish! Beyond has been showing on Aussie TV for a couple of weeks now and I'm (& many others are) definitely hooked.

In a semi-similar format to 'Crossing Over with John Edward' James Van Praagh is the go-between for spirits & audience members occasionally mixing in past-live experiences & paranormal information, interviews etc.

James also has a 'skeptical' co-host in Lisa Canning who interviews audience members post reading.

Unfortunately, a few weeks ago, and after only a few months into the show, 'Beyond' stopped production (ie, was cancelled).

I really hope the powers that be reconsider this, as I think that this show will gain a huge audience as the 'paranormal' is becoming more popular, especially in TV & Movie format.

Beyond gets a BIG THUMBS UP from me!!!!!

James is the real thing

James' show served as an ongoing diversion from the same old daytime television blather. Its a shame it was canceled. James's readings on the show are less chaotic than his readings during a personal appearance, but that is the only major difference. Through the magic of editing, you get the same experience, only with less lapses and more content.

Despite the fact that there will always be some less enlightened people, who will always feel automatically entitled to make up unfounded assertions that he is a fraud, without proof, investigation, experience of, having been read by him, or any other psychic or knowledge of psychic phenomenon or how it works, James seems to carry on his wonderful work as a healer. James Van Praague was the only person who predicted the events of 9/11 a whole year prior to 9/11 and there is televised footage of him doing so.

Same old cold reading shtick

Like John Edward, James Van Praagh is a complete fraud, preying on the grieving. He pretends to speak to their dead relatives, but in actuality any facts he presents are either obvious or vague, usually both. The audience member fills in the gaps and makes Van Praagh look like a psychic, when he is in fact the second biggest douche in the Universe.
