Boma finally convinced Pascale to move in. Pascale quits the cafe. Bieke, who runs it alone, is supported by the others and hatches a plan to match her mother with her boss at Publitime, Jos Dobbelaere. However, Jos confuses the offer with a date with Bieke. Dimitri likes to see it all happen. He asks his mother for money to buy Boma's property yet again. His mother moves in, pushing out Pol and Doortje despite their lease.

Now that Pascale no longer lives there, Bieke can't combine work and the cafe. Carmen and Xavier offer to replace her. Boma isn't that supportive. To satisfy Boma's needs, Carmen organizes a festive evening but Xavier fails as a chef. His entertainment act, a garrison of colleagues at the barracks, pleases even less than their service. Meanwhile, Boma invites Pascale to a gala with high-profile business leaders, a boorish affair that doesn't charm her.

A pregnancy test kick-starts a series of false parenthood presumptions. Xavier assumes he made Carmen pregnant. It merely concerns the GP's dog. Carmen agrees to minder on her dog while she's on holiday and, acting enthusiastic, unwillingly puts Xavier on the wrong track. Dimitri mistakes a thing or two as Xavier takes lessons on paternity at Doortje's.

Xavier is sick and tired of being pushed around. Pol's remark about a clone inspires him to play his identical twin Roger. Dimitri believes Roger founded an African gold mine. He plans to swap his garage for it. Boma wants Xavier and Roger to 'reconcile' as 'they don't have contact anymore'. So Boma appears to get his plan, with Xavier bound to get entwined in his own lies.
