One thing the MCU has never faltered in is casting. I don't think there's been a single notable character that was badly cast or didn't fit the vibe. And Tom Hiddleston proves it on so many levels in this first episode. And the supporting cast measures up on each of those; no scene is boring, and I'm instantly invested in the story all over even though I haven't watched the first season since it came out. I still believe the MCU can make a comeback, if they allow the writers, actors, and directors to create something meaningful instead of just furthering some insanely convoluted story.
