'A Taste of Armageddon' is one of the better episodes for several reasons. The premise of a 500 year old war being fought by computers is intriguing and a society where citizens have been raised to voluntarily commit suicide is disturbing. Ambassador Fox is the perfect bureaucrat everyone loves to hate. Captain Kirk is particularly good in this episode and the writing is excellent. There is great chemistry between Kirk and Spock. The scene where Spock and the security team break into the control room to assist Kirk only to find that he has already subdued an entire room is great fun. This is also one of those episodes where Scotty plays a pivotal role and has some of his most memorable lines.
