The scene with Mikasa and Eren is so beautiful and amazing. The music, the scene. Incredibly done.

This episode marks the end of an epic thriller ride full of strong emotions enough to makmake a grown man cry. The scene between Mikasa and Eren was incredible piece of art. And with that episode, the AOT has cemented its place as not just the best anime series, but one of the best TV series ever, hands down !!

Attack on Titan's characters are something that I feel don't get talked about enough. This episode developed Mikasa and Eren so well, and actually showed them having a moment with each other while the sun didn't shine on the Titans. This episode also featured the tragic death of Hannes and showed Eren's personal strife with himself at his inability to help. Mikasa's monologue to Eren was the first time in the series that she verbally expressed how she felt about Eren in depth and definitely was one of the best moments in the series. The Coordinate being discovered, Ymir's goodbye to Historia and Erwin Smith being present were all other highlights of this episode. Reiner and Bertholt's development was also very interesting but gets elaborated on more in Season 3.

This one gave me chills. I re-watched it over and over again. I literally got goosebumps when YOUSEEBIGGIRL played out during that cliffhanger. Then the action, the emotion, all of them, i adore it. Mikasa opening to Eren, it's so refreshing. Best episode of AOT so far, for me. And Hannes was a great character.

I feel despair and hopelessness for this situation, frankly, this anime is very realistic and you will not see a victory in this episode only the death of the dearest characters and this is very painful, but at the end of the episode I felt that there is a candle of hope Maybe things will turn out for people's benefit, and I hope so.
And to be honest, I love this anime a lot and I enjoy it and maybe I will hate it because of the death of the characters, but I will get used to it.

The battle in this episode has to be one of the greatest battles ever, i felt like watching a real epic fantasy battle like LOTR or GoT.
Once again as this season ends, we're getting closer to the truth or as Erwin Smith described it " one step closer to the truth".
An amazing anime so far and one of the greatest anime shows of all time.
An easy, EASY 10/10
Bravooo.

This is absolutely one of the best episodes of anime I've ever seen. There wasn't a false note in 20 minutes. Everything clicked. The battle in this episode was insanely good. Mikasa and Eren were developed brilliantly. Mikasa's monologue to Eren about her feelings towards him is iconic already. It felt like a special moment. Another amazing moment was the death of Hannes, killed by the same Titan who killed Eren's mother. This scene was gut-wrenching to me. Eren was still helpless. Unable to save the people around him just like when he was a kid. Everything else was awesome too. Reiner and Bertholdt, Ymir and Historia, the Coordinate ability, Erwin Smith and the military police, etc. An epic of an episode.
Season 2 ended with a banger. Although it wasn't as strong of a season as the first one, it managed to do a great job developing it's main characters and a variety of supporting characters. The animation and OST remained incredible. Episodes such as Warrior, Charge, and Scream are just as good as the best of season one. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of Levi. They were put in a tough spot considering the next arc, so they had to end it where they did at only 12 episodes. They did an excellent job though.

As soon as I watched this episode I immediately knew that it ruined every single tv show or movie I'll ever watch again.
After this I humbled myself and switched to sitcoms because i didn't have any high expectations for a sitcom.
I still watch the scene where eren screams every now and then just to keep this masterpiece incurved into my brain.

This was something special Eren encountering the titan that killed his mum Hannes came back to get revenge but it wasn't to be Hannes dies brutally just like many other characters this season Erens voice actor gives his best performance yet and Eren stands up to the titan and after punching it all the other titans attack it giving everyone a chance to escape its a shame Eren didn't kiss Mikasa the music was fantastic and this episode is a great close to the season I've heard season 3 is great and I can't wait
10/10.

Perfect episode. The opening with the foreshadowing as Eren's mother tells him that he has to take care of Mikasa no matter what proved that AOT's storytelling is on another level putting them in a very similar situation as the first episode of the show, and made Eren's redemption against the titan that killed his mother worth it. This episode mostly delivered though I feel like there's a lack of Levi in this season, which I know Season 3 improves on that. Overall a great episode that even though it's not in my top 2 in terms of favorites (episode 17 of the first season and episode 6 of this season) I still recognize it's a better episode than episode 17 because of the perfect ending with the cliffhanger, but not better than episode 6 which has the same rating on IMDB, but in my opinion is way better than this finale because it managed to be original while this finale was made up of scenes that were very similar to stuff we've seen before.
Best scene in anime !!!!

One step towards the truth

This episode shows sad but brave scene performed by Hannes who is protecting Eren and Mikasa like they are his family however he can, not only that but it also reveals Eren's hidden power that I suppose, controls titans and makes them do exactly what Eren is trying to do which made his survival scene mysterious and kind of shocking, Erwin character has developed so well since he collided against Reiner and Bertholdt and his will of discovering the truth about titans to put an end to their existence has gotten stronger, in last seconds of episode soldiers appear with faces of no fear, no turning back like they are ready for next battles.
This is great ending of a season and the beginning of a new one...

Eren's Struggle
sanadalsalt18 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The characters in Attack on Titan are often overlooked, but this episode did a great job of developing Mikasa and Eren's relationship. It was refreshing to see them connect without the Titans looming overhead. The tragic death of Hannes highlighted Eren's frustration with his own limitations. Mikasa's monologue to Eren was a standout moment, as it was the first time she openly expressed her feelings towards him. Other notable moments in the episode included the discovery of the Coordinate, Ymir's farewell to Historia, and the presence of Erwin Smith. While Reiner and Bertholt's development was intriguing, it was further explored in Season 3.
