Why Was This Movie Just So Bad?
9 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I will start by saying that I do watch a couple of the Hallmark mysteries-like the Aurora Teagarden, and Mystery 101 series (with 101 being far superior to Aurora!). And since I really enjoy (even look forward to) THOSE movies, I thought I would give THIS movie a chance. Oh!!- If I could only get back that 2 hours of my life! As if the basis of the movie, the storyline, and the acting we're not bad enough, the ending was utterly ridiculous! SPOILER: The detective runs into a burning building, saves the girl, and they run straight to the pageant to nab the killer. However, not only do neither of them have and affects from smoke inhalation, the worst part is that no one bothers to even call the fire department to report the burning building- nope! They just head straight to the pageant. OMG! I don't see how this could have gotten any more stupid. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of only one was that, to me, it had just ONE redeeming value: The last scene, the photograph... I kind of liked that cliffhanger. That said, however, even though the intent of the cliffhanger was to hook you into watching the next installment of the series, I can say most assuredly that I am not going to do that.
