Disappointing movie
5 November 2020
Alexander Skarsgard once again proved his talent as an actor in this film. However that was the only saving grace I could find in this movie. Michael Mando also gave a very good performance. Plot did NOT hold my attention. Seemed like an eternity trying to watch the whole thing and a definite waste of my time.

Good new show!
23 April 2019
Happy to see Jennifer Carpenter again and her character works well with Morris Chestnut in this show. Holds my interest better than most on tv now so I record to not miss any and watch when I have time. Keeps you on the edge of your seat most of the time. Enjoy all the characters and that they have new ones on to add spice. Reminds me more of the Criminal Justice shows than Blacklist like others suggested. Only sad part is seeing her in chains with no hope but she plays it well.

Great new show!

Can't think of a single thing I don't like about this show. Great characters and story lines. Love the lead even more than I did when he was Tom on Blacklist. Interesting character interaction, good acting. Holds my attention which is rare. Really like the psychiatrist and older doctor characters and their interactions. But ALL of them are a refreshing change from stereotypical medical shows.

Good television

One of the few good shows on to watch. Hooked from the start. Like all the characters, good acting, good story lines. Holds my interest which is hard to do. LOVE Charles Michael Davis (Marcel from Originals) in everything he does. I even really like some of the older actors that I didn't like in other shows. Look forward to this show every week. Hope it continues.

REALLY wanted to like this show
26 March 2019
Keep trying to watch whole thing at once, keep falling asleep, going back and trying to plow on through. Can't make myself sit through more than a few minutes before I want to snooze or shoot the tv. NOT entertaining to me in any way. Tired story line, not believable acting. Writers could have made this so much better.

Better than expected
26 March 2019
Male lead is better than expected. Like a little humor not overly silly, but still too silly at times. Knew I would love female lead, already love her as Maggie in TWD. Other characters are good. Would NOT have chosen this male lead but he is okay and much better than I expected, not as good as I hoped.

What happened? Snooze time!
9 February 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Hard time staying interested/awake this season to watch. One of my favorites last season, used to be hard to keep from shedding a tear with each new show. No longer look forward to next episode and hard to even keep my attention for duration, which feels like work to sit through. Most of the plots seem unrealistic like Randall winning an election so he can help strangers then nothing about him actually doing anything after he wins, like a child with a new toy he soon tires of. It would be more interesting to see Deja and her Mom adjusting to changes in new family dynamic. We get dabbles of many possible interesting topics then left hanging for more dull story lines also leading nowhere. Making Jack's brother an unlikable character does not help hold our interest and seems unrealistic. What used to feel like real characters with honest emotion has turned into something entirely different. I miss Randall's father. Mandy Moore's character is now aloof and cold. Her new husband could be developed into a great character but seldom appears with little to say. So many possibilities are ignored. Feels like they all just show up and go through the motions now, no longer putting effort in to grab our hearts or even hold our attention. Most our our individual home lives are more dynamic and exciting than all of theirs combined.

Did not expect to like this show as much as I do
19 October 2018
Pleasantly surprised with this new show. Loved SOA and expected this to be a lesser substitute, but it is not. Mayans has heart and a great plot. Egaging actors easy to identify/believe. Have to agree the only character who seems out of place is Emily. Hard to understand how the pure little drama queen became accepted by people grounded in the reality of their world. Good strong characters with great acting all around other than that. Every scene she appears in my brain asks "WHY?" She does not fit, personality, speech, appearance, everything is wrong for her in this show. Similar to having a stone in your shoe, Emily is an irritant to otherwise entertaining experience.

Slowly losing interest ~ BIG SNOOZE
15 October 2018
Started out liking this show, grew to like it more. This season it has gotten harder each episode to keep my attention long enough to sit through entire show. Good characters and plot usually. Had a hard time from first episode warming up to Chandler as any kind of leader. Thought Eric Dane's Greys Anatomy character too whiny to be a real doctor, and he carried that weak/spoiled personality over into this one too easily. Something about an emotional, self involved person who seems to jump at his own shadow that does not make a believable leader. So many other strong characters kept me coming back all this time, was disappointed to see a final season until I started watching this year. Flashbacks of South American leaders are interesting in places but seem confusing in the way they are shown. Hard to figure out who is who as younger people, where they are. etc.

This is one of the few new shows keeping my attention. So far it is great. Weird dark quality that usually does not appeal to me.

Used to really enjoy this show. Born and raised in IL, it is nostalgic to watch these Chicago shows. However, it is disconcerting to watch characters in the show who claim to have love and loyalty to "their" city evidently do not live or talk to anyone from Chicago. For example if he were actually interacting with people from here Voight would know it is sacrilege to berate Chicago pizza, especially being from NY and knowing there has been a long standing friendly but serious rivalry between the two cities when it comes to things like sports and food preferences. In one episode he referred to pop as soda, later asked spomeone to give someone "a pop" instead of "some pop." Giving someone a pop could be misconstrued as hitting, like he gave him a pop in the mouth. His slip ups with terms used from NY make his character as Chicago native seem fake to anyone who actually is from here. It used to be enjoyable to watch them discuss streets and areas of Chicago I am familiar with, like where I lived in East Rogers Park and worked downtown. People refer to public transportation as the El, not the L train, which is an entirely different thing. If an actor cannot get even simple local language right, why not replace them with actors actually from this city?

Worth my time

This is one of the few good ones they are putting out for us. Characters are believable and multi layered like real people. Good choices for actors. Subject matter is delicate and handled well. This is a topic that needs addressing and is done in good taste. I found it easy to relate to these characters on many levels. I like that it shows reality that even seemingly successful, happy people have problems and it's a good lesson not to judge anyone.

Disappointed
4 October 2018
Was really looking forward to this show. Horrifying disappointment. How in the world can they use the same premise yet cast totally different personalities/people? So many good actors out there, yet they chose very different ones from the original series which was loved by so many of us. Hard for me to begin to understand why networks repeatedly put on shows to insult our intelligence. This show is another waste of time for viewers. The TC character is the only believable one but story line is so weak along with weakness of other characters not even he can carry it. What reason is there on earth to choose a whiny little prissy man as Magnum? Nothing wrong with a feminine man, but this guy simply can't carry the character off in either direction, macho like other Magnum or strong feminine on his own. I am insulted that anyone would make such a cheap imitation of this series.
