Love the concept of this show- cannot believe there are sceptics who doubt this after seeing this. It is real - for those who think it isnt-they can stick their heads back in the sand. Watch for yourself. Then watch ghost hunters and paramormal caught on camera. Sceptics need to watch these other shows before they sprout their bs. I have watched Shane before in the Holtzer files-true stories of hauntings again. Shane was always being asked to go to the basement alone- often funny to watch but scary if you were actually there. I have experienced ghosts first hand too. So yes they are real. It doesnt matter if you dont believe in ghosts-they believe in you lol.

I have to write a review because I did not agree with the negative reviews. I have read the book and watched other adaptions. Dakota gives a lovely performance- worth watching. I felt all her frustrations- particularly with her narcissistic sister- also a fine performance by that young girl. I liked the casting. Yes it had a modern element-so what?! I worked out fine. All the cast were great. I love a period piece too. I liked the music and i love a happy ending. I thought the guy who playe dFrederick did a fine job. Give them a break. It was watchable and enjoyable. I did fast forward the end where Anne runs after Frederick-it was taking too long -I loved their reuniting scene- very romantic. Nice humour popped in there too. Watch the film and make your own minds up.

My husband and I love this show-Our 8 year old son likes it but not as much as us lol. We do love the time travel theme too. The young cast are superb! Love the quirkiness. We cannot wait for each episode. Hoping season 2 comes quick. A very sweet show-very refreshing. The Paris backdrop also enhances our viewing pleasure. I am writing this because i read some very negative comments that i simply COULD NOT AGREE WITH! WE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!

Granted we have not watched the Scandi version of this series- But my Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this series right through to the suspenseful end in season 3. The acting is phenomenal! The 2 lead actors are amazing. Very real performances. Once we watched one episode we could not wait to the watch the next. If you have not watched the Scandi version- you will thoroughly enjoy this series. Stephen Dillane and Clemence Posey are perfect in their roles.The support cast are also brilliant. The first season was particularly awesome.People who have seen the Scandi version, may not like this and see it just as a copy of the original , however, they should not let their biased viewpoints stop others from watching and forming their own opinions. I would thoroughly reccommend you watch this and form your own opinions. We feel at loss now as the show has ended. A fab UK/France collaboration!!!
