Ahsoka: Part Six: Far, Far Away (2023)

Fans of Star Wars know exactly whats going on
27 September 2023
For an extended universe fan this is what Star Wars should have been for the Sequel trilogy! Thrawn should have been the evil returning during the time of the New Republic and that is truly whats happening

To be painted blue and still be able to portray such a menacing performance Lars Mikkelsen knows this character inside out. Going back and reading the original Thrawn trilogy from Thimothy Zahn back in the 1990s he is how i believe that he during those stories. Live action quietness and calculating every possible outcome to beat his opponent without knowing what hes true intentions are.

The rest of the story so far is literally the prologue that is going to lead to Filonis movie. He is living the dream of playing out all Star Wars Extended Universe stories in real live. This is going to blow everything that was done in the Sequel out of the water and into the Galaxy that Thrawn was stuck in

2 more episodes to go and i know that we are going to want more. Getting that movie released is going to be the greatest piece of Star Wars for a very long time.

The Clone Wars is alive an well
13 September 2023
Knowing that so many moments were going to be shown i would have rewatched the clone wars again before this episode!

When the world between worlds was first shown in Rebels i thought that was a masterpiece but this has topped this by a clear country mile! Emotional heartache was built into this episode, by episode i mean the first 25 minutes. Im still in shock at what was shown on screen. We have some of the greatest visuals ever shown in the Star Wars franchise.

There will be now mention of who, what or when is shown on screen as everyone deserves the chance to watch this in ore of what has been given to the Star Wars fans by the lord and saviour that is Dave Filoni

Overall with where this episode ends up theres only 3 episodes left to tell the story. With us knowing that this is leading to a live action movie in the end the return of Thrawn has to come in the next 1 or maybe 2 episodes to allow at least an episode or 2 to allow some sort of story.

End to the first half of the story
6 September 2023
Theres a lot to unpack not just from this episode but from the entire series so far. We've been with this story for 3 weeks now and there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel!

The team around Filoni have been able to piece together a story that is part new and part legends, so many of the comments and issues surrounding the series so far have been down to the pacing. So far its living up to my expectations, this is a prequel series to a large scale feature film. The story that is being told in this is the hunt for Ezra and Thrawn. Not the conclusion to the Heir to the Empire story line. To get to the point that we are now proves that this is running at light speed. The attention span of many audience goers these days may be the reason that a weekly series is being impacted in the way that it is.

There are so many moments that bring me back to George Lucas' Star Wars but the one thing that is lacking is the saber fights. I totally understand where Filoni wants to take the styles to be far more Samurai but i need a full flashy saber battle from the prequels! This maybe down to the style of practical effects that are being employed today compared to the blue screen sticks but we are getting there with the style that Ahsoka has but just dial it up another 20% and then i think we'll be there.

At the point that this story had been left im truly hopeful in what is to come. My only theory that can be added to the fire is if its possible that the world between worlds is where all of the force sensitive being reside in the living force. Able to travel to any point in time and appear but to return as Ahsoka did may drive a lot of conspiracies!

Fun, exciting and heartfelt
23 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
2 part premier didnt disappoint! Theres going to be a depth of knowledge that all casual viewers are going to have to catch up on. So far the story has moved at a prefect pace

With Hera taking centre stage with Ahsoka in this episode we yet again have action and story interwoven to an episode that keeps Rebels spirit alive. Hera and Chopper are going to be great in this, their relationship is even funnier than in Rebels. If Chopper ever translates there are going to be war crimes on the mic. Switching between CGI and puppetry throughout the episode of for Chopper is a masterstroke yet again. Really gives me the feel of the Original Trilogy. The Loath Cat as well is a marketing heavy hitter with being so adorable as a puppet.

Im still so sad to think that Balon Skoll will only be apart of series one, hes a presence on screen that commands respect unlike the 3rd sister throughout the Kenobi series. One tiny detail that i think has to be addressed are the lightsabers that the force users wield. I have a feeling that Hoils lightsaber is Kanans lightsaber with that distinctive imitter that detaches.

2 episodes down 6 to go with the ending of the episode showcasing the final Rebels scene in live action where we are yet again treated to seeing such a poignant moment for both Ahsoka and Sabine.

What more could a Star Wars fan want
23 August 2023
This is Star Wars! No one will be able to tell me otherwise. As i've watched all of the animated series multiple times in preparation for this i can see where a lot of people are going to get lost. My advise get on and watch the Clone Wars and Rebels as this is truly Rebels season 5.

Waking up this morning and watching the opening scene gives me a great feeling! Theres a very interesting amount of power thats on show. When Vader ignited his red lightsaber in the hallway of the Profundity the immense power and weilding of the force was on show with that dark crimson red saber! Its a very deliberate choice that Skoll and Hati are not to that level where we can see that by the lessor amount of people that they are able to take on. Nonetheless is a prefect opening to the series. Ray Stevenson was going to be a great addition to the Star Wars family and a character that i would love to see his backstory of!!

Theres no words that i can describe Rosario Dawson's portrayal of Ahsoka that hasnt already been said. From her time on the Mandalorian where many reviews were talking about the little lightsaber combat that was on show from Chapter 13 but already we have the fast following saber combat that has been synonymous with Ahsoka over the years of the Clone Wars and rebels. The relationship with Sabine, who i have to say is epic and a prefect casting choice of continuing the characters arc from Rebels, which has already been cemented as a fan favourite is only going to grow and grow.

The mythological aspect of the show has to be such a underutilized story! The world between worlds episode of Rebels is an epic master class in storytelling and with Filoni at the helm of telling such a personal story through his writing and directing cannot be understated.

Episode 2 is out and im going straight into watching this!

An esteemed title of a sequel better than the original
2 August 2023
There are very few sequels that come to mind that outperform the original in every way, this one certainly does. Not falling into the trap of bigger is better and throwing uncessercary cameos, fan service and budget at a series that was on a very strong footing. Everything in this movie had a purpose as apart of a trilogy.

When they did announce that there was going to be a sequel to Into the Spider-verse I was unsure as that ended in a very finite way almost a cash grab from Sony on the back of the first one. I will eat my words that i was wrong, they seem as though they knew where they wanted both this and 3rd installments to end. The story of where this ended was a prefect place and i truly hope that there are screenings for both the 2nd and 3rd when new installment is released.

One of the greatest leap forwards that has come from these 2 movies so far is that the animation is on another level artistically wise. Each of the Spider-men has their own unique style, as there have been tones of response over Spider-Punk and is way of being animated is a stroke of genius. Gwen Staceys world bring ripped straight from the panels of a comic with the watercolour emotion changing backgrounds even down to the last universe they visit. That cannot be understated as one of the best designed worlds in the series, as we are going to pick up from that we are going to be in for a visual treat.

The cast yet again is stacked and the team behind the first have certainly built upon adding new actors to the roster and Oscar Issacs is a stand out as always. The Anti-Hero Spider-man is a tough character to take on. Played to perfection! Scary yet sombar, violent yet compassionate and down to his back story these are going to touge at the heart strings to then be hating him for the actions that he takes.

As a second chapter in a 3 part story this is a marvel (pardon the pun) ends with everyone wanting more as a true story should. As mentioning before this goes into that very exclusive category along with T2: judgement day, The Two Towers and a personal favourite Sherk 2 to name just a few!

These truly are the movies that marvel epic
2 August 2023
Theres been a few instances post Endgame that shows Marvel that they can create movies that are worthy of the title of an MCU movie. This is certainly one of them! Spider-man No Way Home/ Shang-chi are the only ones in my eyes that live up to the hype, story and all of the fantastic moments that have come before in the MCU.

Many times over i've been reading about the emotional damage that this movie brings on long-term MCU fans and it certainly packs a punch. 4 experimental beings, broken and tutored are still able to find meaning in their captivity bring the audience to tears with story that ultimately leads Rocket to finding his new family by the end of the first Guardians movie. Theres moments where a look from a Raccoon to a Blue cyborg that melt your heart as for years they were the only surviving members during the blip. All members of team have their time to shine in this movie as we trek across the galaxy.

One of the most glaring points that have come out of recent marvel movies is that the villains are sub par, even with such talented actors like Christian Bale to name one they are not able to save the villains. Could be poor writing, could be poor direction or down to the fact that many of these were worked on during covid but thats no excuse when films like the Batman are written, filmed and released during the covid years. The High Evolutionary on the other hand is one of those villains thats going to go down in the history of the MCU, deranged, calm and manic at the same time his scientific process of creating beings to just throw away steers away from the recent bunch that have to have a motive behind the actions. He's just a bad guy! Same as the Green Goblin who yet again is still a standout from 00s to Spider-man No Way Home! He rips animals apart and rebuilds them to how he sees them evolving in grotesque hybrids of metal and living tissue.

Only reason that this is not the 10 out of 10 is because of Adam Warlock, when he first crashed down to Knowhere that was the Warlock i thought we were getting throughout the movie! I know that many characters need a starting point to grow from but maybe it was a bit to far back for his start up. The thought behind him was to be closer to Visions introduction as a being who isnt able to process emotion but can work with whoever his master was. Instead we got a baby warlock, far more emotionally unstable than calculation.

Its a Trilogy that walks right up there to the top of Marvel, Antman would have been there as well if it wasnt for Quantomania. We still have Iron man, Cap and this to be thankful in a way to round off a trilogy that has been with us for nearly a decade. I wish James Gunn well on the DC front and if a triology of Superman films can come out as well as these then DC fans are going to be in for a treat.

Shall we hand over all Oscars now!
1 August 2023
Theres very few movies that have an impact on cinema like this one will. The star studded cast, direction, story and the other very pink opponent releasing on the same day. There are trends that Hollywood will try and manufacture unlike this freak chance of these movies being released on the same day. I truly hope that the film industry are taking note of true storytelling, heart and classic film making with little to none enhancements to the moments that truly matter.

Where can i start with this cast, there can truly be 5 or 6 up for the 4 acting Oscars in 2024. Cillian Murphy is a shoe in for Best Actor, his harrowing portrayal of a genius that has the fate of the world on his mind and on-one truly understands the factors of what he has created. With a look he conveys a thousand words, with the support of Emily Blunt these 2 together weren't on screen a tone but yet again the impact they have on each others performances drive this to another level. From a sweet English legend (mary poppins) to an alcoholic American shows the breath of her acting range. When i heard the interview from RDJ that he was scared of taking this role and having to act again after his role as Iron Man this broke me. He smashed this role! In a film that spans hours his minutes on screen may beat Sir Anthony Hopkins Hannibal Lector record but the same impact across the board! Honorable mentions for Matt Damon, Jason Clarke and Alden Ehrenreich who keep all their stories flowing to allow a 3 hour film to be a a joy to watch.

Then we come to an influential director that may be pushing for his Oscar with this film without making it Oscar bait like so many others in the past. If we get to Feb 2024 with people talking about this film its Nolans for the taking. Allowing natural, real and non-cgi scenery grounds this movie with the rawness on the forefront of movies just like the scientific breakthroughs that were happening on screen. Nothing has come close to this film this year! These are the films that when a director who writes his movies is allowed to create his vision and produces an epic. This is why he left Warner Bros. Over the last few years the medaling in directors creations stops the truest visions coming to realization.

This is a word of warning though as proven by Thor Love and Thunder where Tiaka was allowed to run off and produce one of the dumbest marvel movies of all time!

All of the effects have been highlighted as practical and this is the revaluation in bring back practical effects since Mad Max Fury Road in 2015. With the Atomic test being a practice effect i'd love to see how this is made. From visual effects to sound effects and editing, one word... perfection! Recently watching Interstellar and this had the same affect on me as that film!

Theres no other words than prefect, actors, direction, story, score and above all the feeling of impending doom in a way that allows everyone to take a different take on who is right and wrong.

Getting round to a film that has been waiting patiently
30 June 2023
Forrest Whitaker is one of the most underrated actors of this generation, he can portray one of the most vile dictators and switch so quickly into your best friend which is a testament to his and McAvoy's connection on screen during this film!

This is an Academy award that was so well deserved, the way hes able to capture the minds of the public and be such a tyrannical maniac behind closed doors is just another leading characteristic all of the dictators throughout history. It seems like a larger than life portrayal of a character but from all accounts this is how he acted throughout his reign.

As a supporting role to McAvoy its such a difference of characters that hes almost scared to do anything but so bold in certain circumstances! During this time McAvoy is branching out from his first major hit of Narnia and hes far from that scared creator that is found in that film

Overall i cant say that i truly enjoyed this film since its the subject matter that we are watching but i can help but say the portrayal of the Ugandan dictator is mesmerizing.

The Mandalorian: Chapter 23: The Spies (2023)

This is Star Wars and this is the Mandalorian
21 April 2023
As Thanos said in the MCU all your failures return to me or was that Moff Gideon off set of this episode! He is the reason this series has been lacking and the reason that so many of us wanted to see.

The series as a whole up until this episode were 2 good, 4 bad and then this epic episode, there are so many moments to pick out that are just Star Wars, the lore and the expansion of the story of the culture of the Mandalorian race is everything that we wanted.

The way that the latest Dark Trooper Armour was revealed as well, V4 i think, Gideon was just waiting to using it the whole series for and epice show down.

I dont want to see anything happen to Grogu or Din by the end of the next episode as thats going to be a very sad ending.

Not Guy Richie best by far but who cares when its a bit of fun
21 April 2023
As a lot of people have said about this movie this isnt Snatch or Lock Stock or the Gentlemen but its a fun popcorn movie that will appeal to the masses

The cast has to be said is great, Jason Statham as always a easy choice for Ritchie, Hugh Grant seems to be taking on roles that actually mean that he has to act going forward. Plaza, my god, she was prefect in this movie. For characters that transcend their mandioca movie shes much like Margot Robbie in Focus. A great character, stunning and well presented without being on the nose either way.

Story is simple but could have been a possible cheap follow up to the Gentlemen with Richie character having a change of heart and becoming an arms dealer with a querky attitude!

Overall i have seen better movies but i laughed throughout and if you have a beer in your hand it makes it even better!

When i saw BDH as director for this...
21 April 2023
Bryce Dallas Howard have given us some of the best episodes of the Mandalorian as a whole! Through out all of the seasons her episodes are normally the ones im looking forward to the most but this one was by far the worst of the whole series full stop!

I've never been a fan of Lizzo from the first moment that she turned up this took me out of Star Wars and into a Disney series. There have been cameos from many actors along the way in Star Wars, Jack Black and Christopher Lloyd were a nice addition to the Star Wars universe, whereas Lizzo just isnt! The acting was terrible on her part and the script didnt help at all.

The only moments that we really needed to see were the last 2 minutes of the episode, the fight for the fleet is the best way to be calling it.

Worst episode of a Star Wars series and im including Resistance in that as well.

Growing optimism for the rest of the series!
21 April 2023
This is hopefully the turning point of the series, there are so many stories that are waiting to be told in this universe and i can only believe that this would have lead to the start of the Rangers of the New Republics series that has since been cancelled

The way that the Mandalorian handle themselves in this episode is prefect, this shows to the galaxy what true Mandalorians are about. Honor, weaponry and together has to be at the core of all of the Mandalorian cultures and creeds

The fights are yet again epic in scale and played out to the best that they can over such a small amount of time that they have over the course of an episode in a series.

Overall its great to see our great purple friend still fighting with the New Republic and it truly means that Ahsoka is Rebels season 5 in live action!!

We dont know the true impact this franchise will have for a very long time
21 April 2023
For nearly 10 years we have been treated to the joy that are the John Wick movies. The nicest guy in hollywood has been able to reinvent himself into one of the baddest hitmen ever to be played on screen! The 4th installment is no exception.

Ive seen a lot of reviews and reports surrounding this movie and the state that John Wick had found himself in the last 2 installments. Wick 2 i would say hes fighting at 30% hp and Parabellum around 1hp and still managing to slay very time. This time round hes back to full health and ready to take on everyone who stands in his way.

With the sudden passing of Lance Reddick im sure they had multiple stories for his character as it sounded very much from the press tour that his character was going to be round for a while after this movie. Nonetheless he went out in the way that his character has always been, dignified.

Less just say one thing that the villain of any movie deserves credit for making a movie just as epic as it can be and Bill Skarsgård is no exception here. Typical man at the top that gets everyone else to do his dirty work. Clancy browns Harbinger is awesome and a great addition to the mystery that surrounds the world of the hitman for hire.

I cannot fault this film yet again, action movies for years to come will be looking back on this to create an epic fight scene half as well as the smallest of scenes in this film. Just one more thing to say that a fight scene between 2 factions of Ninjas is just as epic as ever before.

Weak showing from the first half of the series
21 April 2023
Theres one thing that is awesome about this episode and that is the rescue, to see Republic Gunships back, the Coruscant Guard and the 501st back in action. With the ability to end it with the Naboo palace guard helping Grogu escape. We couldnt have had a better team to extract him.

With Ahmed Best returning to Star Wars but not as the most hated and loved character that has ever been created, he played a Jedi and embodied the true meaning of what it means! Would have loved it to Jocasta Nu to get Grogu out of the Temple and then pass him onto Best but this was still a great scene in the episode and we now have more reason to want to find out where Grogu was able to hide for 28 years after Order 66.

Then we get to the rest of the episode which yet again is just a filler episode to just to give a minutes worth of context of the Mandalorian culture. Yes its cool to introduce a new animal and was fun to watch the rescue but apart from that we have nothing epic to bite into as of yet.

We have been waiting for this series to ignite into a roaring fire which we only had to wait until 30 seconds into the 1st episode of season 2 but we are 4 episodes down with no real story in action. We need so much more for this series to be called a success.

Trippy, confusing, mental, ridiculous but you have to see this film!
21 April 2023
I never got to see this when it first came out and we know the buzz around this film after the Oscars. We have one hell of a film on our hands! This has to be one of the most imaginative movies thats been made in a very long time. Directors and writers creating something without any studio interference.

When you have the blockbuster of the second doctor strange come out at the beginning of 2022 and this at the end of 2022, the contrast is the same as the distance in time. One is awesome and one was disappointing. This was certainly the first.

This is able to introduce all the elements that Doc Strange 2 wasn't able to deliver on. We had a small glimpse of what Rami can do with was the directors flexing their creative muscles to create something ridiculous! So much of the movie i was stilling in awe of what was going on, there was nothing that i knew what was going on. It sent a twist into the multiverse that was just perfectly twisted.

The whole cast was prefect, there are people calling that Jamie Lee Curtis shouldnt have won the award but its the same as Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs, small screen time massive impact on the story and that is safe to say here as well. The only thing better than that is Ke Huy Quan being awarded his oscar by Harrison Ford, an awesome and wholesome moment for all movie fans!

Theres wholes to this film for sure but i cannot deny i enjoyed every moment of it, just waiting for each change to truly understand this mental world that was created.

An Andor episode in the Mandalorian
21 April 2023
This is being written at the end of the season, but this episode is getting worse because this really had nothing to do with the over arching story. Theres 2 minutes of this episode that connects to the last 2 episodes and honestly shouldnt be in the series.

At the same time this isnt the worst episode of the series by far!! It just seems completely out of place in this series. We are here for the Mando culture, fighting and how the empire remnants are still acting. Ok yes we have a double agent in the new republic but she was so unconvincing in being a good guy that tries to help the republic.

Overall i dont really have much to say about this episode since there are so many better episodes to review before i lose my track on these!

Finally got round to seeing this movie
21 April 2023
This was one of those movies that has been on my list to watch for years and i have to say this didnt disappoint! Actors on top form, a director in his realm and a story i dont know a lot about but was totally engaging!

The final moment for me to jump in and see this was that in 2023 theres a tv series that is a direct prequel to this movie and there have been so many reviews of this saying to see the movie before the tv series. They were 100% correct in saying so.

The "My man" gif has become such a major meme and to see this in its actual context is actually terrifying since this happens just before a shoot out and drags the movie in a completely different direction.

Russel Crowe being the manic detective and Washington being the stone cold and calm operator was great to see since most of the time these roles are reversed but works perfectly in this Gangster movie

Overall i cannot wait to start the tv series in the next few days, lets roll back to Harlem!

Cocaine Bear (2023)

This is mental
4 April 2023
Nothing can prepare you for the ride that this movie will take you on. 4 stories, 3 drug deals, 2 kids, 100 lbs of Cocaine and 1 bear. What could go wrong. Literally everything!

First i have to mention that this is the last film of the great Ray Liotter not hes best by a long shot but threw himself into the madness of this film head first.

How can all of these stories truly fit into one movie but they are all did. They were shoe horned, smashed, pushed and squeezed into the short run time but i was crying with laughter. Its not clever comedy its old school slap stick with a bit more blood. The characters are dumb the bear is but i would happily watch it again for a quick laugh.

It totally reminds me of both of the grown up movies, stupid, fun and just ridiculous!

Star Wars: The Bad Batch: The Outpost (2023)
Season 2, Episode 12
9/10
Where a clone is sent to live out the rest of his days
4 April 2023
This was a hard hitting episode, something that we have come to love in the animated world of star wars. The animated series produce such a difference from light hearted to these raw war stories.

The whole episode is reminiscent of Trespass from season 1 of being on a remote planet being hunted but the indigenous race. This had the true meaning of being a clone plastered for all to see. Following orders to the death. The empires new recruits would never have held that out post without the clones stone way commanders in Captain Mayday. Another clone that we came to love throughout 1 episode.

The Bad Batch is falling into the trap of Rebels with the stories that are not centered around them are the better than the ones that are. Im writing this after the season finale as well but this is still one of the best episodes of the season so far.

A season that was fun and just ended with cutting the red tape
4 April 2023
Love or hate the man, he's really trying to make a stand for the agriculture/ farming industry! As he's said many times without the Amazon film crew following him about the farm would have gone under.

For me he is just one of the funniest characters there is out there. Top gear and the grand tour will always be a rewatchable series because of there nature. This not so much where the series on the first watch is awesome to watch.

Overall i cant same any more about this series with him standing up for farmers in his local area and then also making an absolute fool of himself driving his ridiculous tracktor.

Where marvel is heading isnt what we signed up for!
3 April 2023
I saw this when it first came out but i wanted to take a bit of time to reflect on the state of the MCU. Antman is probably one of my favorite MCU movie full stop. Antman and the Wasp as very solid follow up with ties to the greater universe. This im still conflicted about!

Theres nothing to say about Paul Rudd that hasnt already been said playing this character! He as always is awesome! Brings the fun in any of the moments of danger in a genuine way. But when you get the characters that are meant to bring this back to earth like Hank and Hope being the comic relief it just doesnt work. They try to make jokes but these kind of characters just shouldnt be!

Majors on the other hand is an awesome addition to the MCU and can certainly take the franchise going forward. I would have loved to see at least one of the ant family die in this it would have really shown how far Kang is going to take things! With his recent arrest im really not sure how the MCU is going to hold up losing this character thats been being built for the last couple of years!

The story was just to vast for the type of stories that we have come to expect from Antman. We love the heist movies of the last 2 but this tried to be that and also create a grander segway into the larger MCU. The whole MCU at the moment is rudderless, the best moments of the MCU is when they have time to let the dust settle and then get hyped for the next one. With 3 shows and 4 movies a year its like theres always something MCU going on. Seeing the events of Captain America Winter Solider and then something different as Guardians but then nothing for a year just makes you want things more! Its becoming way to stagnate in seeing things nearly every month!

Steady start to a season of great importance
8 March 2023
So far in the 2 previous seasons episode 2 and 4 are seen as the weaker, season 1 episode 4 and season 2 episode 2 and this is much the same as those episodes

This is here to get our favorite father and green alien son to the place where they need to be to smash this series out of the park. The final moments of this episode is something that yet again a never thought they would ever bring to live action. The lore that is recited before and during this episode is pointing directly to Filoni making sure that the Mandalorian culture is going to go down in history.

The story again is weak and i thought it was going to be a good few episodes before this episode would have happened. I have no idea where this series is going to head to much like the same time for season 2.

The Mandalorian: Chapter 17: The Apostate (2023)
Season 3, Episode 1
8/10
Weaker story but still a whole load of fun

This wasnt the premier episode that i was expecting from the team behind the best Star Wars property since Rogue One! It wasnt to say that it wasnt fun, it certainly was. A great introduction back to our favorite characters of the Mandoverse

The whole episode was to get us back in the swing after BOBF, Kenobi and Andor along with season 2 episode 1 that was a total stand alone episode kicking off the series but this wasnt up to that level of awesomeness. So many of the moments in this did have the essence of a Rick Famuyiwa with his hidden attacks off screen same as the Episode 6 of season 1.

Overall next weeks episode will be another set up if this is the way the other series have gone. Season 1 ending moments were poignant with the Sukka episode to set the mood for the rest of the series. Same with season 2, the Crait dragon 1 off stand alone episode with a cargo movement to get to where they need to be.

Wednesday: A Murder of Woes (2022)
Season 1, Episode 8
9/10
This will be me season 1 review and enjoyed every episode

When the original announcement that Tim Burton was going to be apart of bringing this story to Netflix but was totally disappointed that Johnny Depp didnt turn up as Gomez but Jenna Ortega as Wednesday is casting prefection

She had the creepiness' and the kookiness' to bring the favorite elder Adams to the small screen. After seeing so many interviews about her not blinking that was one thing that totally sold the story of Wednesday throughout the series. The change throughout the story and melting her cold black heart.

The supporting cast of the series were another joy, i thought it was going to be typical Netflix Woke storytelling but Wednesdays room mate was an awesome juxtaposition to the darkness. Thing, what more can be said about our resurrected hand, fun, helpful, cunning and loyal to a fault. Gwendoline Christie's Principle Weems by the end it was a genuine character that only had the best interests of Wednesday and the School.

Only downside to the series was the CGI which could be attributed to Burtons 90s vibe that he wanted to bring back. Overall i cant really fault it, fun, heartfelt, scary, laid down the foundations for season 2 and that is totally fine by me!!
