It seems this season has no overarching storyline they wish to tell and if they do they certainly don't spend much time on it. So far, the best episodes have been without the Bad Batch team and have contained Crosshairs or other more compelling characters.
This episode shows a character at a crossroad who makes a decision that will effect him, let's see if the writes remember. Also, as with a number of episodes this season, we see the Empire's contempt for the former heroes of the republic and Crosshairs is again front and center as a witness.
It is truly amazing to see storyteller like Dave Filoni go from the Clone Wars and a good season 1 of the bad batch to this, perhaps he is too busy with other projects and left this for a lesser quality team.
But hey, the team didn't have another failed mission under their belt and we didn't have to listen to Omega wail on about something or another, good episode!
