Star Drek Season 4 - Women Only!
16 August 2023
The first two seasons were okay. It would be better than okay if we be spared gay melodrama between a doctor and his undead partner on board the ship. Season 4 so far is so boring that I don't even care what is going on there. Most characters are women - captain, federation president, Vulcan ambassador, warriors, academy students, etc. Those who are not ladies are male aliens. There is no balance there - the show is clearly for the ladies. Oh, there is a synthetic boy with earrings who look like a girl. The ladies have to explain their feelings with occasional teardrops which gives me a reason to stop watching and go find some snack in kitchen. This show is almost a caricature of Star Trek in season 4. The show wants to boldly go, but it does not know where.

Dexter: New Blood (2021–2022)

A spit in viewers' faces.
17 October 2022
Warning: Spoilers
While all episodes except the last one were okay the last one ruined the whole show. Original Dexter had one of the worst endings. Was not the whole point of the season to fix Dexter's ending? They made it worse. I expected Dexter to get out of this hole and move to his sister and reunite with his son. But the the son finds him, but gives Dexter an attitude. Being the same as Dexter, Harrison in the last episode suddenly becomes morally conscious. I do not buy it. Also, the evidence his gf collected is so weak that any lawyer would get him out of the cell the next day. That titanium screw would not be even accepted as evidence. She grabbed it without gloves and it had her fingerprints all over the screw. Seeing his sister as a ghost - what a joke. I would ignore all the minuses, but can't accept Dexter was being killed.

Boogeyman supremacists
21 February 2022
There are so many crimes in US commited by the Black and Hispanic gangs, but the show ignores the real situation and pushes white supremacists stories for 4 seasons. The show runners refuse to even balance the act with criminals from other races. They chose the easy path.

Ancient Caral
8 January 2022
This episode is mostly dedicated to Caral city which is older than Incas civilization by 3,000-3,500 years. I visited other sites covered in this episode. The giant monoliths put together in such precision that current day masons would not know where to start. The local tour guides tell you that everything was built by Incas. In private conversations same guides say that Incas have no capabilities to build all that.

Stupidity is rewarded
22 December 2021
This episode describes what really happens sometimes in real court. Some may remember that a woman won millions of dollars because she spilled hot coffee on herself in a fast food restaurant. I remember a case where family won millions of dollars because their son drawn on a property of a marine club. Prosecutors persuaded jurors that a 6- or 7- foot fence was not high enough to climb, and a sign "No swimming" was not that visible in a dark. So, when a young person got hurt or killed even by his/her own stupidity jurors' common sense goes down the drain and they feel obligated to help a victim, and "evil" insurance company must pay damages. Why not, it's not jurors money. When reviewers here complain that this episode is bad I should say that cases like that happen in real life.

Boring series.
16 September 2021
I watched the first season so far, and it is getting on my nerves. There are no intelligent conversations. Almost all characters can't even finish their thoughts without stopping in middle of sentences. We all hear about that they run a media empire, but looking at them I doubt they are capable of running a 99c store or a deli. Where is the inner workings of media company? Where is the connection with politicians? All season 1 is about nothing.

Entertaining. That's all I needed.
1 August 2021
I like the actors, aliens, CGI, music, and action. Also, I am glad there were no social issues forced into the movie. Every time I try to watch some series Holyweirdos put some agenda in it. Even with plot holes this movie is entertaning.

World News???
24 July 2021
Those viewers who praise the hosts must contemplate on the name of the program. Where is the world news in this show? It is local news with maybe one-two mentions of other countries and around six commercials. How do these tv people would call themselves intelligent if their world circles around US only? Sample from today's program... Floods in India, a man in some US city got big tip by playing piano in diner/restaurant, NFL players are encoraged to be vaccinated. Wow, world news.

Disappointing
18 July 2021
The original was a masterpiece of comedies. This sequel is really a number 2 of movies if you know what I mean. After movie credits with bloopers is the best part of it. The second thing I enjoyed was seeing actors from the first movie and barber shop characters.

Down the drain
29 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Westworld started pretty fantastic. I loved it until Maeve ordered technicians to change her characteristics under threat. With a button push they could stop her. Instead, behaving like morons they gave her anything she wants. From that moment on I stopped believing in anything writers pushed on viewers.

When those host cowboys shot security forces who were falling like flies after spraying Combat on them I simply laughed.

The whole story line is so unbelievable and complicated in season 2 that i simply watched it on auto pilot. Dolores shooting left and right, Bernard waking up here and there, etc, etc. Complete nonsense, a mess. It reminds me of Lost series ending. Only there last few episodes were confusing. Here entire second season.

I give it 5 - 2 for story line, and 7 for actors, scenery, and music.

Boogeymen the Rus.
17 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Almost anything related to the Rus is confusing - dark hair, black costumes of Mongolian warriors, to Christianity. The Rus were not Christians at that time. Give it another 100 years and it would be true. And the raids - Kievan Russ was too far away from Kattigat and the Rus had fight through other Slavic and Germanic tribes in order to get to Western Scandiavia, or sail. They sailed and it means they had to attack Kattigat first. It this case King Harold would definitely say "not my problem". If the Rus attacked Eastern Scandinavia first then how is it possible that Hvitserk met with Ivar. He would have to walk the entire Scandinavia in wet clothes and without food.

The truth is the Rus never attacked Norway. They traded with them. Novgorod was one of the biggest and richest cities of Europe. They had no reason to attack any territory - traders came to them.

The devil is in the details
16 January 2021
Overall this series is good, but in this season they introduced the Rus. Such a disappointment. Prince Oleg looks like a contemporary arrogant dude in designers clothes. The Rus at that time and for centuries had long beards. If not long beards than big mustaches. Their hair was of light color a thousand years ago and now. The biggest disappointment was to see his warriors. They look like Turks in Mongolian outfit. The Rus warriors had European armor and helmets, and did not wear black clothes. Seeing this was laughable. Costume and makeup designers did not do a proper research. One more thing. When Oleg poisoned his brother, Askold screamed "Polovtsy", not "Help!" as it was shown in subtitles. Polovtsy were a big tribe of nomads I believe of Turkish origins who ravaged territories of Kievan Rus, Khazars, or whatever they saw in front of them. Many times they were employed by the Rus for protection. Askold was calling them in this episode. That means that all killed warriors in front of the house were Polovets mercenaries.

More episodes per season would not hurt.
13 January 2021
Great series with solid characters, great acting, and interesting story lines. My two complains are that there are only 6 episodes per season. Then you have to wait for about a year and a half for the next season. Most shows have 12 to 24 episodes in a season. Some countries present 25 to 40 episodes per season, and I am not talking about sitcoms. Even expensive Game of Thrones had 10 episodes. Here is 6 only.

Traveling on steroids
24 December 2020
The Amazing Race is the right name of this show. As a traveler myself I really appreciate seeing places in different countries. For me it's like travel teasers where to go or places I may skip (like India). Because of this show I started traveling 2-3 times a year having15-17 countries and even more cities under my belt. It is amazing that The Amazing Race and Survivor are the first reality competition shows and after so many years they still one of the best.

Perfect for Eurovision fans.

This is very good light entertaining movie. Fire Saga will be much appreciated by the Europeans or anybody who watches Eurovision every year. Many faces are recognizable from real Eurovision contests. The movie is silly and that is how it supposed to be.

Solid series

Very interesting slow paced show. I like all actors especially those who played serial killer Edmund Kemper (Cameron Britton), and Charles Manson (Damon Herriman). Damon Herriman played a small part in it but absolutely nailed it. Kudos to those who hired them.

Historical chewing gum
5 December 2020
Warning: Spoilers
After watching the first season It is very clear that Ertugrul series is Turkish and Muslim propaganda. Every minute they praise Allah and showing how noble and heroic they are. The series is definitely ordered by the Turkish government probably by Recep Erdogan himself. Let see, Turks came out of Middle Asia, invaded neighboring countries, fought among themselves, invaded Byzantine Empire, went to Syria. But in this series they are presented as noble underdogs. They were given temporary lands near Aleppo in Syria but they refused to leave (very noble). They say Templar are evil, but those knights stayed in Asia with a mission to protect trade caravans from the Arabs. Who is more noble? Overall series is entertaining, but acting and fight scenes could be much better. Character Erdugrul is very undeveloped. He walks and talks without any emotions, no facial expressions. His "three musketeers" sidekicks are more interesting than him. Looks like fight scenes came right out of amusement parks or Orlando dinner shows. Overall, the series is entertaining but primitive.
