Simple and cheap documentary

It's fine. You get to know the basics and get a few interviews with people who met Oleg. Very few. He was a KGB agent giving info to MI6 from Copenhagen and later the London embassy. MI6 shared this info with CIA. CIA wanted to find out who gave MI6 all this great info. So they asked Aldrich Ames to find out his identity. They didn't need his name they just wanted to know it. And it was easy to track him down based on the info he had access to. Aldrich Ames was of course a traitor. He sold info on all double agents in KGB working for CIA and then this new info about Oleg. He had a pretty South American wife that constantly asked for more money and he had to get it somehow to please her. Oleg was called back to USSR and his family was later too. Then he was in house arrest, but escaped to London and now lives underground as Putin plans to kill him. Russia hates him. His family was stuck in USSR as an act of revenge.

This doc is fairly simple. We learn the very basics. We don't even see any photos of his 2 wives or kids. We don't see photos of meetings or buildings. They just film modern London and Russia and then use those shots to tell the story. And we have some cheap acted out scenes that are overly silly. It's a very lazy and cheap doc. Instead of presenting info it for some reason wants us to see all these pointless shots. I just needed a few photos and a clear narration that's all. Still, the story is interesting and they do tell all the most important details even though it's in an overly silly way. I recommend reading about him instead. A movie would be nice too, but not an English movie. Those are way too cheap and silly for this type of story.
