Not a great start to Season 2
bizlats26 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
First off bring back Sela Ward as much as Alana De La Garza is a good actress she does not fit the bill for Sela Ward's position as department head. This was not a great start to S2 nothing that has not been seen in at least half a dozen other shows if they want to keep there viewers the writers will need to up there game.I enjoyed S1 of FBI hope I'm not going to be disappointed with S2 there is a new character added not a great addition in my opinion but we will have to wait and see.

A Lead Role Badly Replaced
It's such a shame that Sela Ward left FBI after just one season, her replacement, Alana de la Garza simply does not have the gravitas that Sela Ward brought to the role of Special Agent in Charge Dana Mosier.

OK, I still watch the show but in my opinion it's been downgraded by the change.

Great Disapointment

Warning: Spoilers
Sela Ward should have been offered a new or extension on her 1 year contract. Her character was smart, creative and great leadership. Both new agents are off to a terrible start. John Boyd was a little goofy on Bones, but it doesn't fit here. Starting out the first day with your new partner lying to her is just stupid. And then de la Garza as Isobel Castille does the same thing in the PR scene, by omission sure, but same difference. I will not stay with this show if that's how it's going to be.

Little Egypt is not just a dancer anymore
tarwaterthomas29 September 2019
Warning: Spoilers
It's the name of a restaurant in Queens, and it gets blown up. This is personal for Special Agent Omar Adom "OA" Zidan because he used to eat there when he was just a kid, having grown up in the neighborhood. Siding him is his favorite partner Maggie Bell. What was cut and dried turns out to be complicated. There's a well-heeled imam and two youths who intend to set off a bomb at Central Park where there is a baseball game in progress and there are some red-white-and-blue buntings on display. Maggie disarms the bomb with four seconds left. She would not have done this without OA thinking out of the box. And for this his career is threatened by Special Agent In Charge Isobel Castille (played by actress Alana De La Garza) who tells him that FBI agents who act like social workers get relocated to the FBI office in Omaha, Nebraska. And all OA did was exercise some personal initiative, otherwise hundreds of people would have been injured or even killed. Dick Wolf's apparent contempt for flyover country people is showing. Bring back Sela Ward!

Something Strange
beltezam27 December 2020
Yusuf Nasser speaks Arabic and works in an Egyptian restaurant, where peopl3 would speak Arabic. However, he efers to his cousin in Al Qaeda in Kabul.Aside from the point that al Qaeda would be rather scarce in Kabul, they would not be speaking Arabic, ... they would be speaking Farsi or Pashto!

Just Ok

Warning: Spoilers
Maybe 5 stars is too many. FBI is one of my favorite current Drama's. "Little Egypt" is the second worst episode since the horrendous "Most Wanted" from Season 1 in my opinion. Delko's sister and "Criminal Minds:Beyond Borders" Alana De Le Garza was a bad fit. I've liked her acting on CSI:Miami and Beyond Borders. Second rate acting when she gave her press conference's and office lectures on FBI. John Boyd another downer as Kristen's partner was goofy at best. Not much acting history on TV and it showed. Him and Alana together could bring down this show. Ebonee Noel was great out in the field. A nice edition to the field team. Boyd? Get Kristen a new partner. The plot was full of holes. Not very well written. An FBI agent pushing two young men into Terrorism was weak the way they wrote it. Hopefully things get better. Just Ok start to Season 2.

Not a great episode...

Warning: Spoilers
The new woman in charge doesn't look like she has any personal or sensitive skills. She is not a patch on the charismatic predecessor she had. Also perhaps would help with a bit more background and introduction to her character?

Some conflicting things in this episode but the worst was the end part....

Oh look there is a bomb. Anyone got a multi tool ? Sure here you go why don't you just cut some wires .... What do you mean it's still counting down ? Ok I'll cut the other side wires. Phew that worked !

Great all the surrounding agents stood around and trusted her bomb disposal skills she learnt from watching macgyver !!

Weak start for second season
wmrvincent25 September 2019
Very blah and predictable first episode for a second season. The dialog was often stilted and cliched. Plus, Alana de la Garza is no Sela Ward. The writers resorted to heavy-handed dialog in an attempt to help her appear tough and in command of her unit. It didn't work. This episode should have been able to build suspense and excitement, but that didn't happen. I really hope this is not the best the writers can do. Quite disappointing on many levels.

not why we watch FBI
mathomas-2805326 September 2019
Not as good as season 1. We watch this show for the interesting plots, not for a philosophical discussion of the treatment of Muslims after Sept. 11. The screenwriter(s) tried here to deal with the complex dynamics of immigrants in Trump's America, but it simply wasn't interesting. They bit off more than they could chew; or rather, they bit off the wrong stuff. Leave the philosophy to feature films; just give us plot, action, twists, surprises, and interesting endings. Character studies, not so much. Terrorists are young, poor, dumb, unemployed boys with nothing going for them. We get it.

OA should have been fired...
jay-98231 December 2021
Generally speaking, Wolf has done a reasonable job balancing narratives. But this was beyond the pale. I'm sure there is more than an ounce of good in everyone if you look hard enough, but that isn't really the point is it? Stop the preaching and get back to the legal process and objectives of the FBI. By the way, love the new Bureau chief. No wiggle room. Just get the job done and move on. OA got lucky not to be spending his time in Omaha.
