By now it has become clear to me that anyone can become a suspect in Taggart, even someone who might be unlikely at first. The writer teases the viewer with this.
Of course someone is playing a more cunning game and there is a switcheroo of sorts as the dentist is later murdered. Taggart needs to find a new dentist, later his wife needs to get a new hairdresser.
Once again with the grimness comes humour from Taggart and in this one a potential victim who is trying to get away from his killer and who cannot hear any pleas for help.
