Something's off

Why would the daughter's boyfriend be a target? Wasn't he a teenager and the killer an adult woman? What am I missing? Is something off in the translation?

The energy on this show has been consistently weird. This has been the worst case of the entire series.

Perhaps she's just great at playing a teenager or she's written poorly, but the daughter is an annoying idiot.

The show was amazing, until this episode

Without spoiling the episode, I would just say the realism of the previous episodes was lost in Cat's Cradle 1 and 2. It's as if the brainstorming session had failed to produce a credible criminal with a credible motive. Something happened with the funding or the writers or the show that these two episodes failed to connect with the viewer in the same way that all the other previous episodes had.

Lacked depth

Both the storyline and the new characters lacked depth. The killers motivation was lame - why now? And no explanation as to what actually happened. Every scene with Janina made no sense.

The worst one yet

It got really stupid. He couldn't figure out that the victims were all around the same age.
