Another Kayden Kross triumph
lor_19 October 2018
Advertised as a Feature from the stable of all-sex labels run by Greg Lansky, Kayden Kross's "After Dark" serves not only as a vehicle for Tori Black in her successful Act 2 of her Adult Cinema starring career but also further evidence of the maturation of a filmmaker.

Exploring the same theme but in far better (and stylish) fashion than her previous Veronica Vain-starrer made with partner Manuel Ferrara, "Screwing Wall Street", KK has Tori portraying a ruthless magnate in the financial world named Tori Blackwell, and we observe a day in her life, its conclusion rather unfortunately a spoiler in the IMDb plot synopsis (should have been suppressed but too bad).

Her voice-over narration self-justifies an amoral personality, always in control and an extremely cool customer. But of course Ms. Black is hot hot hot in the movie's sex scenes, whether a poker game threesome with Adriana Chechik and opponent Johnny Sins (plus a fabulous snake), voyeuse watching two sweet young things making love in a pool beneath her balcony, humping her lover Markus Dupree, having sex with an employee Juan Lucho, or becoming a Christ-like figure in the flamboyant, nearly hour-long "The Last Supper" styled finale orgy featuring a who's who of current porn stars (Angela White, Jessa Rhodes, Ricky Johnson, etc.).

This nearly 4-hour opus is stylish throughout, and handles Oliver Stone themes with a style and subtlety that belies one's expectations (turns out that the award-winning mainstreamer Stone is "in your face" while pornographer Kayden insinuates rather than beating one over the head).
