July 1969. The National Security Directorate (DNS), headed by Major Fernando Barrientos, is in danger. The regent of Mexico City, Alfonso Corona del Rosal, wants to get rid of the Directorate and thereby weaken one of his main adversaries in the presidential succession: the Secretary of the Interior, Luis Echeverria. In an act of survival and political revenge, Barrientos intends to save his Directorate and support Echeverria, his direct boss, as the sole successor of Gustavo Diaz Ordaz. The main point of his strategy is tied to the incipient student movement that is trying to improve the lives of students and workers. Barrientos has taken the task of creating the perception that these young men are a real threat... and then repressing them violently, thus getting his boss to a better position in the eyes of the current President.

The student's voice becomes louder, but they are still disorganized and lack a long-term plan. Barrientos needs the group to become stronger, unified, and organized, so as to put more pressure on the President, who is currently concerned with the upcoming celebration of the Olympic Games. The students will finally become an organized force after the apparent death of one of their leaders. Barrientos, through his infiltrated agents, will assist them in becoming a more cohesive force. After an escalation in demonstrations, and subsequent government repressions, the movement will eventually be legitimized thanks to a march led by Javier Barros Sierra, dean of the UNAM, and a political enemy of the current president, Gustavo Diaz Ordaz.

The student movement becomes stronger. They establish the National Strike Council (NSC). With the help of one of Barrientos; infiltrators, they organize and carry out the largest civil march ever seen in the country, with over one hundred and fifty thousand participants. This is a great cause of concern for the president, Diaz Ordaz, and his government, while at the same time putting them in the spotlight. Meanwhile, the CIA, which has a strong presence in Mexico, offers its support to Corona del Rosal in the presidential race. They have a proposition: For Corona del Rosal to carry out a coup and return the country to law and order.

Many sectors of the country support the already well-established student movement. But Barrientos needs the student movement to be an even more powerful enemy in the eyes of the paranoid president, Diaz Ordaz. The way to do it is by infiltrating guns among the students. Elsewhere, after considering the political climate and the real intentions of the CIA, the military leaders of the country reject the possibility of a coup. After a bloody incident among the students Alicia finally discovers who's the government infiltrator.

Available Oct 5. Tensions between the government and the students reach a boiling point. President Diaz Ordaz asks Luis Echeverria to arrange a meeting with the students. But Emilio Martínez Manatou, Chief of the Presidential Office and contender in the presidential race, seeks to take the lead in this negotiation. Thanks to his closeness with Dean Barros Sierra, he succeeds. Barrientos aims to cancel out Manatou's gains through an operation that creates, in the eyes of the President, a sense of "chaos" in the country. Beto knows that Alicia has discovered his identity and tries to take her out the city before her life is in danger. But he soon realizes that Barrientos' eyes are everywhere.

Available Oct 12. Corona del Rosal convinces the President to put an end to the National Strike Council by using moles during the so-called "March of Silence" that the student body is organizing. At the same time, Barrientos wants to create more chaos by exacerbating the violence and provoking what he hopes will be an explosive and lethal fight, to the detriment of Corona del Rosal's plans. But realizing the magnitude of the event, and how well organized the students were, Barrientos must stop and revaluate his plans, and figure out a different way to get to that final act of violence against the students.

Available Oct 19. President Diaz Ordaz orders the army to take over the UNAM. Dean Barros Sierra, feeling threatened, sends a letter of resignation to the university's governing body. Martinez Manatou asks the president to open a new line of communication with the students by pointing out the enormous political weight that the resignation of Barros Sierra could have on the presidency. Barrientos and Echeverria are open to dialogue, as they want the student body to feel less threatened by the government, thus lowering their guard. Once the presidency opens dialogue with the students, Barrientos, with the help of the CIA, wants to initiate a plan of violence and riots to corner the President and force him to order a definitive solution to the student problem.
