This episode can roughly be split into two storylines:
1. Shiro has a near-death experience and is experiencing flashbacks to his past: how he met Keith, and what his life was like in the leadup to going on the Kerberos mission.
2. Most of the paladins go on a wacky hyjinx storyline where they try to get the right alien substance to charge the lions. In the process, they get shrunk down and become really tiny.
Plot #1 had a lot of really good character beats and character moments. While I think those flashbacks should've happened earlier (i.e. Before Season 6), it was still nice bits of character work
Plot #2 was really silly, and felt like a complete contrast from the dark tone of most of the previous season. The characters also had their character traits overly exaggerated a bit, but all-in-all, it wasn't terrible.
Plot #1 is a 9/10, Plot #2 is a 7/10, so it averages out to an 8.
