Well, it's a good thing

It's certainly one of Fine Young Cannibals catchiest songs of all time along with "She Drives Me Crazy" and their rendition of "Suspicious Minds" but unlike their other music videos this one isn't much memorable or so interesting to look at it since we don't get to see Roland Gift and company impressing us with their dance moves. And I wonder it took them too long to make a video for a song that was released way back in time. A more interesting clip for this great song would be a collection of scenes from Barry Levinson's "Tin Men" (1987) where the band appeared as themselves performing the song.

Now, this video presents the band with a slightly enthusiastic performance intercut with a group of men riding a town in their scooters. The vintage style of the clip alligns well with the sound since "FYC" truly sounds as a group from the past instead of the heavy noises and colors of the 1980's. I'm praising the clip for its editing and the magical sound of the band that never ceases to amaze me. It's only a pity that didn't tried more here, it's too simple and almost forgettable in terms of creating a great video clip. And also a pity they hardly ever made a video with a story or a higher concept rather than just a band performing. Still worthy of those clap, clap moves just like Gift does during the song chorus. 8/10
