Meh.

So much potential, so little satisfaction. Literally anyone could've played Debbie Ocean. Bullock's character was flat, angry, and boring with none of the charisma displayed by "brother" Danny or any of his squad. With an ensemble movie the magic is in the little things i.e. the Malloy brothers squabbling, fast talking Frank, sweaty Livingston, hip Brit Basher, and of course Saul Bloom, not to mention the host of others who made the O-11 such a great movie. Even Hathaway's full-on diva didn't raise a laugh. I'm just sorry I forgot my MoviePass and had to pay to see this movie. So disappointed.

Hands down the BEST Oceans Movie!!!

These ladies killed it. So strong, so badass and so amazing. Definitely go see the movie..you won't regret it. Plus..can we talk about how smokin hott Cate Blanchett is?!?! Every outfit was perfect...I want every piece of Cate's wardrobe for the film. She has so much charisma and swag, it's unreal. Hoping for Oceans 9 & 10 with these ladies because this much talent can't end on one film.

Snore

Literally snoring at various parts of the movie in a theatre with about 10% of its capacity sitting around me. I love the elements coming together with each special skill set to contribute, classic Ocean film. However, it loses its elements of surprise each scene, by overexplaining. I understand we've never met these characters before, and need some background but it could have relied less on Ocean's past to do this introduction. Furthermore, the cast is stellar, I really wanted to see each of them because I like each one of their style and grace. But the hardest thing to see in an all female lead movie is only two females' story being important. It's almost as if the greats were given a script they couldn't even make great! I am not comparing the Ocean's in the past to this one, and definitely gave it a chance on its own. I gave up when they kept trying to salvage the job, seemed like they met on set and thought the whole thing up as they went....but I hate I walked out, maybe there is a good surprise, Classic Ocean style at the end. But I doubt it will have you hankering for a sequel.
