Violence & Gore
-
- You can shoot people in the head to kill them. A small semi realistic pool is left behind.
- The game focuses on assassinating specific targets. While levels can be packed with other characters, both civilians and guards, the game encourages leaving as low of a body count as possible, and penalizes killing non-targets.
- While killing is penalized, players can still knock out non-target characters (guards and civilians) either by choking them out or striking them with a blunt object. This is sometimes encouraged to gain access to their outfit and/or any items they may have (such as a keycard).
- No gore, just goofy minimal blood effects.
- The game isn't as brutal as it may seem to be. Most of the time it is completely bloodless. Most of the time you will pick locks, solve puzzles and do nonviolent acts like sneaking around.
- Excluding assassination targets, the game is only as violent as the player wants it to be.
Profanity
-
- Very few swear words are spoken
- Damn is used twice
- 1 use of Piss and other low level profanities, absolutely nothing else.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- There's a cocaine production facility and fields in the Colombia level. Some people can be snorting lines of cocaine around the mansion and it can also be poisoned.
- Several areas contain alcohol which you can poison.
- Around all the levels at some point the player is bound to come across someone smoking
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- Despite the game being about assassinating, it has a rather humorous tone to it at times, primarily in costumes that Agent 47 can wear, ways he can dispose of targets, and methods in which he can leave missions (including one where he flies off ala Mary Poppins with an umbrella)
- NPC's can beg for mercy. Voice Acting is very realistic and very hard to listen to.
- NPCs Scream and beg
