He has no remorse of any kind. He's smug, vain and a liar. It's all about him. He wasn't on drugs when he beat her with a baseball bat, when she was pregnant. Then say he wouldn't feel safe around certain people, when he gets out. They're the ones who should be afraid. Such a beautiful young lady hope his daughters see the mons that he is. His own f doesn't believe him and that should tell you something.

Portrait of a monster
ravenclaw_girlrules30 April 2021
This one actually brought me to tears. The family member who pointed out that he followed the typical path of an abuser was spot on (gifts, isolating the victim, physical abuse, and eventually killing her). After she said that, I refused to believe another word he uttered.

You can't possibly blame drugs for killing multiple people - this man was clearly suffering from mental illness or drug use resulting in extreme paranoia, but his actions were inexcusable.

As an aside, you guys shouldn't leave low reviews because you believe he's a monster. You're reviewing the show, not the person.

This was chilling.

Deandra Buchanan is guilty of three murders, but he claims to have no knowledge of the events.

Buchanan is possibly the most arrogant, obnoxious, odious killer so far in this series. That scene where he explains how good a man be is, and how he looks after people!! Chilling.

The family accounts are truly heart breaking to watch, the scars of his horrific crimes are still very raw clearly, it's tough to watch, very brave. The description of the mother clutching her child is intensely sad.

This guy is possibly the most chilling subject so far, he seems the most calculating, the one who has the most control, despite protestations as to not knowing what be was doing, he knew too well what he was doing.

Very well made, 8/10.

Arrogant

This man comes off as very arrogant and lacking any remorse. Otherwise, a good documentary with relevant interviews.

What an A*hole!!!

Warning: Spoilers
This moron, telling his story to the cop like the copy is going to empathize with him. He's the one doing crimes, doing drugs, abusive to the mother of his children, and waving a gun around and killing people and trying to claim victim-hood, that his aunt, stepfather, and the mother of his children, while holding his kids are after him.

He's exactly where he deserves to be.

He's vain, stupid, narcissistic, criminal, violent, abusive, and a liar.

He's exactly where he deserves to be.

And that long, drawn out story he told about what happened that night was the typical BS story told by liars and junkies. I was rolling my eyes as that story just went on and on and on and on.

As far as the other reviewer whining about the family's hatred of him, they have every right to be. Nobody forces you to be a junkie. You don't get an, I'm a junkie get out of free card. In addition, the cop says he was able to follow her instructions and the one of the family members says she was there and he wasn't high and I believe them.

He had the nerve to set his lips to characterize himself as a caring person.

He's exactly where he needs to be be.

Good Documentary
FancyandFaithful8 February 2021
This was a good documentary, although the murderer made me soooo upset by his cold blooded actions. He lied throughout the documentary and its clear he has no remorse for what he did. There is a part of me that believes he may suffer from paranoid schizophrenia because of his delusions.

Gotta love the power of the human mind

Warning: Spoilers
He just erased everything that happened and told a different story. To him he is the most nice, reasonable, calm guy, but in truth he kills people that are not as paranoid about being robbed 24/7 as he is.

No regret

This is a prime example of a narcissistic sociopath. He was no empathy or remorse for what he did and he probably feels completely justified in his actions! Saying that you were on drugs or don't remember doesn't absolve you of what you've done. I'm quite shocked to see one of the reviewers here saying he's not getting any "pity" from the family, are you F serious!??! You want them to pity the guy that took 3 loved ones from them in some jealous and pompous rage!?? Even if you're on drugs this is not an excuse! And I say this being an addict in recovery myself, with many of my family members being addicts too! I know all about being high out of your mind but never did any of us ever kill someone! That's a cop out and a weak and pathetic defense. This guy doesn't give a s**t about what he's done, he clearly only feels very sorry for himself. Putting himself as the victim of everything. He was nothing more than an abuser who beat his girlfriend and shot her dead WHILE SHE WAS HOLDING THEIR BABY! He didn't even care if the bullet hit his child! THAT says everything about his cold and callous persona. Completely manipulative and a compulsive liar.

I'm glad that the show shows us first the killers "perspective" and then give us the real story so we can see how easily these animals lie and manipulate.

Really split on this episode. Family is obsessed with bitterness.
rchosen-193-553522 March 2020
There is no doubt he killed them obviously. And there is no doubt he had a violent past and hurt his wife before. But the people against him, like Angie's sister (aunt?) are so beyond bitter that they basically said even if it was because of drug use, he did it on purpose and it doesn't matter to them. They don't even have one morsel of pity for him.

Truth and facts are drug addicts have issues, often issues that are beyond hard to fix. If he really killed them from a bad trip on drugs, then it was not obviously premeditated. It was due to the drugs messing with his head. In which case I do pity him, very little mind you, but there is pity none the less. Drug addicts do terrible things like murder sometimes and it's not until they are clean that it sets in on what they did.

Again, he should be in prison for life. But the family has zero sympathy for his situation and it shows a lack of forgiveness. Some may read this and think "Do you have any idea what its like to have a family member murdered?". Yes, yes I do. I had a my closest aunt violently murdered, so much so it made the news. Of course I had hate for her husband who did it. But eventually I forgave him. He had proven mental issues and was also drinking that night. He showed remorse before he passed away from a self inflicted gunshot wound.

In the end you could say that with this episode, everyone are idiots all around.
