It opens with her in NA and something falls out of her bag, it looks like drugs she looks at the guy next to her and it's obvious they're going to screw later. Then she goes to see the nice boyfriend. he's just the typical clueless, one dimensional boyfriend. This episode I'm getting vibes of Californication because the quip way they deal with addiction. It's obvious these white male writers don't have have their fingers on the pulse of modern culture. Their idea of edgy is 'let's have a young black teen talk about doing a sex tape?!' Wow! Wasn't that the subplot for Big Little Lies! Can we get some diverse writers involved who can breath a little life into this tired mess? I really like Anna Paquin so I keep trying to give this a chance but even her presence seems out of place. At first I thought maybe setting it in America my have been better because the celebrity is different but now I think it all comes down to the writing.
