Whatever blows your skirt up

I can't help but feel like Davos lacks enough substance to be an engaging antagonist to Danny as his motivation has been stated repeatedly from his first appearance last season. Unlike Danny, Davos hasn't been developed much and still is yet to pique my interest. The only character i'm curious of currently is Mary

I just had to check my pockets to make sure nothing was missing. Feels that if I would of skipped that episode it wouldn't of affected story at all. Hoping it picks up.

Now we are cooking with fire!

It's taken this long into the second series to get the story going again. Love it

This Deadly Secret

Warning: Spoilers
They surprised no one with the revelation of DID. Using it for storytelling purposes is so played out and so far Alice Eve is not really excelling in this role.

The dinner from heck was just boring tonight too. Whatever they were going for did not work out.

Segredo Mortal

Punho de Ferro (2017-2018)

Series

2nd Season (2018)

Episode Three - Segredo Mortal

-Hello, guys, I called you to this meeting, because I want you to transform Joy into a villain.

-But, boss, we're already at the end of the first season, we've already finished the scripts and some filming and we haven't given any indication that she would become a villain.

-I don't want to know, find a way.

-But, boss, it won't make sense for her to become a villain out of nowhere.

-FIRED! Does anyone else want to be fired or can they turn Joy into a villain?

-Okay, boss, we can pretend that Joy, after spending all these years without her father and finding out that Danny knew he was alive before she found out, became very angry and blames Danny for it.

-That's right, perfect, then you throw in some really cheesy phrases about how much she thinks Danny has ruined the family since he returned to New York, makes the actress change her performance out of nowhere, and you know what? I love Mexican soap operas, so tell the actress to make the most caricatured villain face possible and everyone will believe it.

-Okay, boss, let's do it then.

And that was the meeting for Joy to become a villain.

Episode three of the second season of the Punho de Ferro series watched on June 10, 2024.

Fun change of pace

Warning: Spoilers
I find it amazing that Danny Rand and Colleen Wing simply invited Davos and Joy over to hash things out. Rather than a lot of backstabbing, trying to feel each others out, they simply just ask the people they have an issue with over for dinner. Especially the part were Colleen says the things about being honest. It's great and refreshing. Instead of them having to end up talking while fighting wearing masks on some rooftop somewhere.

Much as before
Leofwine_draca25 September 2021
Much as before: poor plotting, indifferent acting, not bad direction, decent fight choreography including some gruesome moments that you don't expect from Marvel.
