Spreading joy

Warning: Spoilers
Violet continues to spread joy and help other people. Surprisingly enough this is not wearing thin and this episode was one of the most entertaining of the slice of life episodes. WE do get a bit more backstory; we see violet on a ship killing a number of naval personal, using a knife. Someone she is brought under control by Dietfried Bougainvillea and given to Gilbert Bougainvillea to train. Where she comes from is unknown, Dietfried states in an early episode he found her in enemy territory. However, how he did this is unknown. Perhaps she was a weapon developed by the enemy; perhaps a weapon developed by Leidenschaftlich, perhaps she was traumatised by war and become an unfeeling murderer. Its all a mystery.

Another slice of life episode
glumski24 May 2022
The sixth episode of Violet Evergarden is yet another slice of life episode that doesn't really advance the overarching plot but tells a nice and self-contained side story. Personally, I found the previous episodes a bit more engaging, though perhaps I've simply watched too many episodes in one go.

Technically the series remains excellent, with gorgeous visuals and a good soundtrack. I wasn't too impressed by the plot, however; it didn't manage to move me as much as the previous episodes did.

Warning: Spoilers
The dolls are paired up with male transcribers. One particular boy who looks bored has a roommate who he shares a room with. The roommate is ecstatic to meet beautiful Dolls.

Violet's braveness, intelligence, "not like other girls" vibe breaks the ice between her and the transcriber. They finish work fast together and he gets the courage to ask Violet to see the comet with him. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Violet leaves and as she slowly goes, the transcriber calls out his gratefulness and his plans for the future. He became complacent as he stayed so long to wait to see if his parents would come back. He is going to travel and gather documents like his father.

He wonders if they will meet again. Maybe it is as likely as seeing that comet.
