Very well covered and super insightful

Martin shkreli may be the most hated man in America but this episode unmasks the real vilians behind the scenes. Very well researched and shows you how easy it is to manipulate even the nobelest of things for monetary gains.

Warning: Spoilers
This is really great series and I recommend it to anyone wondering why the insurance and health care are so expensive. the end really sum up where the real problem is ( there is nothing illegal in all of that, and this is the startling thing about it)

How distant money and morals have become
andrasrapli31 August 2023
A story on how the big pharma extracts your last dime while leaving you sick and undefended, on the edge of dying. Valeant's story is not unknown in the financial world, but the light this movie sheds on them elevates it to a whole new level. Out of all Dirty Money episodes, this is my favorite. It very well shows how greedy American tycoons are, and how distant have became money and morals. My only issue with this one is that the title depicts Andrew Left (one of the experts interviewed and involved in the short) too positively, while in reality there are a couple of shady cases behind Citron.

Guess what? Valeant are still doing it!!!

How come no one else but Dirty Money covered this? It feels like the other media stopped talking about them. They keep talking about Theranos and the curly crypto weirdo, but not this! No one stopped them!!! They are still at it!!!

I wanted to ask my provider for Wellbutrin XL brand name. The generic one is super stinky, I thought maybe brand name wouldn't have this issue. I also did some research and apparently generic version of this medication is not bioequivalent to the brand name is was often recalled by the FDA.

I wanted to check on GoodRx how much the brand name will cost me and for 30 tablets of this common antidepressant that's not even a controlled substance and it was...

... NEARLY TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS!!! YES!!! NEARLY $2,000!!!

I was like "What the hell???" I had a brand name medication before that had no generic and it was $400. This one has a generic, not a very good one, but still. How is it possible this one is worth FIVE TIMES MORE?!?! There is gotta be something here. I scrolled down to see the name of the manufacturer and I saw "Valeant"

That's when this episode, that I haven't seen for 5 years, flashed before my eyes from start to finish.

How are they still at it? $2,000 for antidepressants. Some specialty drugs that you have to infuse at a doctor's office cost less than that.

I'm pretty sure it cost $50 in Canada. Yes, $1,950 cheaper. Guess all this episode expose and our government being involved didn't do anything.

Valeant was renamed to Bausch Health. Unfortunately, their stock is not $0.00 yet. It's $7.33 per share 🤦‍♀️ How?
